No one knows
Almano returned to the hospital but went straight to the doctor's office to figure out what must have caused Bella to faint.
"How is she?" He asked.
"The Luna is doing better now" the doctor answered with a smile.
"What was the cause, she wouldn't just faint like that" He asked.
Almano knew Bella was very strong and fierce so there must have been a reason why she fainted abruptly.
"She fainted due to stress, something must have been bothering her constantly and it must have been eating her up to the point that she became weak and gave up" the doctor explained. Since Bella had told her not to tell anyone about her pregnancy, she didn't see the need to tell Almano even if he was now in charge of the pack being the right hand man of Adeline who claimed that the Alpha had given her power over the pack.
"That could happen, I mean she is not human to faint due to stress" he asked to get more explanation, he couldn't believe that Bella would just faint like that.
"Yes. It can happen to anyone including wolves. Apparently we wolves are still humans afterall and we handle stress just like humans, once it gets too much, we break down. I am guessing her stress must have multiplied due to something and that was why she fainted.
Is there anything that would cause her to worry and think a lot?" She asked him.
There were so many reason for Bella to be stressed, from her mate being locked for turning into a feral beast to the Gamma who was also locked up in the dungeon with his mate. She hardly went anywhere and was always guarded in her room. Never to leave. He pressurized her each time he had a chance for her to accept him, Adeline was roaming free in the castle after all she did. Bella did have a lot to worry about, she had no one to tell or help her, she was all alone.
"I don't know" he answered keeping his head down for being one of the reasons Bella couldn't be at rest. She has actually fainted in his presence which meant he was the main cause.
"All she needs now is rest, I suggest she stays in the hospital and get some rest" the doctor insinuated but Almano immediately declined. He didn't want her to be far away from him.
"No, she will stay in the castle, she is safe there" he declined, he didn't want her out of his sight.
"Well if you say so but please make sure that she rests and doesn't stress herself anymore.
By the way I wanted to ask how the Alpha was doing?" The doctor asked him.
The last time Coast was in the hospital, he was poisoned and unable to move but strangely he woke up one day and left the hospital with a few people being injured who were in his path.
"The Alpha has gone rogue" he answered pissed off that they were now talking about Coast instead of Bella's health but the doctor was doing all she could to hide the fact that Bella was pregnant and didn't want further questions from him that would cause her to spill the beans.
"May I see him, I might actually be of help to get him back" she suggested to him.
"Don't bother, We are already working on it" he replied leaving her office to avoid more conversation about him.
Almano returned to Bella's ward and found her all sad,
"What's wrong?
The doctor said all you need to do is rest. Is there anything on your mind?" He asked.
"How can you ask me such dumb question, do you think I can be at rest with all that is happening" she retorted.
Bella was trying to figure out a solution for herself before he walked in annoying her with his presence.
"I didn't mean to get you angry, I am just worried about you. Do you know how scared I was when you fainted. My heart almost jumped out of my chest" he confessed but Bella was not moved by his words, all she wanted was to save her mate and family.
"That is none of my business, can you leave me alone?" She requested in an authoritative manner.
"I am sorry but I have to take you back, you can get all the rest that you want in your room" he replied. Almano feared that she might escape and he would never be able to find her or reach her again.
He stretched his hands to carry her but she slapped them off.
"Don't you dare touch me, I can walk on my own" she replied. The thought of him touching her body disgusted her. She knew he was the one who carried to the hospital and she was already thinking of having a thorough bath to take his scent of her.
"Are you sure you don't need my help?" He asked as she got down from the bed.
"That is the last thing I will ever need" she uttered and he moved back, away from her. He could tell that just his presence was enough for her to get mad and she didn't hold back the harsh words she had been given to him.
"I know you may not need my help but if you do need me then I am always here for you. I can never say no to you" he assured her but she just looked at him in contempt.
"Don't bug me, I don't care what you have to say, I don't need you and I don't think I would ever need you" she answered.
Bella was thinking of a way that she could meet Coast, she wondered if she would be able to calm him down if she met him. For days now, she had not been allowed to see him and she was hurt about it. She had been locked up like a prisoner in her own pack.
She had to meet him, she had to break the news to him that she was pregnant carrying his child. She knew he would be delighted over such news and might even bring himself back.
