Alpha's seal
"She is innocent" Lucian said standing behind Bella.
"Says the mate of the culprit, Ofcourse you would take her side. Is there anything you wouldn't do for love" Adeline questioned him, his presence was actually in her Favour because she could exploit him.
"I know Denise and I know she would never do a thing like that" He uttered.
"Ofcourse she is innocent to you even when we found the evidence in her belongings. Is this how you would betray the Alpha, your mate did that to him. Your mate is the reason why the Alpha is lying down lifeless almost at the point of death" she barked him showing a hint of power.
"Bella, you are the Luna of this pack, how long are you going to let them lie to your face. Are you still going to let this slide, are you going to set the culprit free" Adeline stated turning to Bella again. She knew that if she claimed Denise was innocent then she would be overlooked but if she agreed that Denise was guilty then she would be betraying Denise and Lucian who trust her being their only hope.
"They are not lying to me, I know that Denise is innocent" Bella took her stand and there was an uproar. To the men, they believed that Denise was the culprit because of the search and expected the Luna to agree with that too.
"There you have it, our Luna is no longer herself. The absence of your mate has caused you to be blinded but I will not be blinded just like you. As the mother of the Alpha I will do what is right. I cannot let such atrocity happen to my son and then let the culprit go Scott free" She stated.
"You are not his mother and you have no power. I had given you two hours to prove that Denise was guilty yet you have nothing to prove that but rather sprung up this nonsense about Rogues and alliance.
I don't know how think you are in the position to be making any orders. As a matter of fact I have found out who poisoned the Alpha" Bella said and Adeline was shaken. Bella couldn't possibly already know that she was the one who poisoned the Alpha.
"Who is it?" She asked trying to act calm but Lucian and Bella could hear a crack in her voice.
"You" Bella said and there was utter silence. "You poisoned the Alpha and framed it on Denise. Immediately you did, you tried to assume power" Bella said accessing all the things she had done right from the moment Coast refused to wake up.
Adeline had taken it upon herself to be the next authority and even talked back at Bella calling her weak in front of her men. Bella didn't need to be told, it was obvious that Adeline was behind it all.
A shrilled laugh escaped Adeline's lips,
"Are you accusing me of Poisoning my son" She asked.
"He is not your son, don't you dare call him that. Alpha Coast despises you and has not forgiven you yet" Bella barked at her tired of hearing her claim Coast was her son when she wouldn't dare say that to his face.
"If he despises me so much then why am I here, why am living in the castle with him. Does that make any sense to keep someone you hate around you" Adeline answered turning the tables around.
Bella could only blame herself, she was the reason why Adeline was in the castle in the first place. It was all her fault that Coast was almost at the point of death, they had let their enemy into their territory. It was her idea to let Adeline to stay in the castle and now she was paying for it.
"I see what this is, you are trying to blame me so that you can free the real culprit. Is that your plan Bella. Fine, let's say that I poisoned the Alpha, what am I going to gain from it. I have absolutely no one except him, why would i want to do that to my only family" she began with her pathetic drama as tears fell from her eyes.
"Will you stop this, do you thinking crying is going to change the truth. You poisoned the Alpha, what for?.
So that you can rule?.
Wait a minute, is your son really dead?.
Is this what this is, you poison the Alpha so that your son could be the new Alpha" Bella thought about it, that was the only way Adeline could benefit from all this. If her real son became the next Alpha then she would have so much power being the mother of the Alpha.
Adeline could see that Bella was slowly winning and she needed to do something to get the men to believe her.
"Don't you dare bring my dead son into this, my child has been dead a long time ago and the least you could do is respect his death. After my son died I swore that I would not lose another but I have also failed and now my stepson Coast is at the point of death. Tell me Bella, what exactly am i gaining from having my two sons dead. I am losing everything, I cannot let Coast end up like my dead son. I will fight for him until he is back to his full strength" She muttered.
"Who is she fighting?" Lucian whispered.
"She is trying to gain the Favour of the men, she is turning them against us making us look like the bad guys" Bella answered.
Adeline was acting like a struggling mother who was trying to save her child than she who was the mate of the Alpha, she was buying the men with her act and tears.
Bella turned towards the men,
"I am the Luna of this pack and I am representing my mate the Alpha. Denise is innocent of the charges against her and Adeline is guilty. But right now we have something important at hand, we have Rogues in our Pack who are threatening our own safety just by being here" she boldly said.
"So what do you want us to do?" One of the men asked.
"They are not a part of us so we kill them" Lucian added.
Once Adeline heard that her Rogues were going to be killed leaving her all alone and powerless she was scared.
She knew she was nothing without her men who were devoted to her only. She had brought them over claiming for peace so that they could do her bidding without asking any questions as always.
"What nonsense are you saying, these Rogues are here for peace so there is not point in a fight" Adeline defended her men.
"We don't need peace with Rogues, we are much more powerful than they, they might have the instinct to kill but they can't subdue a pack most especially a pack as strong as ours" Bella answered and things were slipping out of Adeline's hands. She was losing once again.
"Attack" Lucian gave the order and the wolves growled at the Rogues aiming to attack. Adeline could see that her men were going to lose and even if they won the fight, it would only be a few of them left standing and she needed all of them for her plan to work.
"Stop, this is from the Alpha" She said holding a paper in her hand.
Bella and Lucian turned back to her hearing that it was from the Alpha.
"No it's not" Bella doubted.
"It states here that I am in charge of everything concerning this pack until the Alpha is back to his full capacity" She read out and Bella and Lucian were shocked.
"That's a lie" Bella stated.
"It has the Alpha's seal" one of the men shouted and Bella could not believe it.
"It has to be fake" she voiced out.
"I will show you if it is fake or not" Adeline said leaving the balcony to meet them at the entrance.
