It had been weeks since we returned from camping where my mind was mostly floating somewhere. The weird dreams of vampires continued visiting me every night, and I couldn’t talk about it with Leo. He was in a movie shoot and definitely not to let anyone uninvolved to the vampire world because they didn’t know they existed in the first place.
Tomorrow will be my last day in the service of the Heathly family. Tomorrow is my last day with Leo, and today… as he agreed, we were going on a date although I was the only one thinking that this was a date.
I made sure I looked nice and very presentable on my pale navy blue dress with a black top and laces. In a way, Leo would still be wearing shades to keep his identity from the public or it would be a big scandal. I wore my contacts and not my big glasses today. I looked different from my usual get up.
I went out to meet Leo, and guess what?
I was right.
Leo was wearing his dark coat and white scarf with matching shades but he still looked the same to whatever he wore.
“Where did you want to go in the first place?” He stretched his arms like he was a human.
“I want to do a lot of stuff today. Since you agreed, you just have to enjoy every moment! Basically like… a date?!” I shrugged saying the words.
“First and last date, huh?” I heard him whisper.
“Yeah, you don’t like the idea?” I pouted.
“No, no, I think it’s a good idea. Me not being an artist nor a vampire master for a day, and you not being a P.A. nor my servant.” He grabbed my hand. “I’m your boyfriend today.”
A leap of my heart occurred. Could we just make it real? To make it everlasting?
“Yes, let’s go!”
We went straight to the horror movies then to the amusement park and goofed around. But it was funny when we were inside the Haunted House, Leo and I were just laughing to the highest extent with the costumes. Real vampires were terrifying once they became serious.
We ate in the cafe. Well, I ate and he just watched me and we took pictures. We rode almost every ride available and when I looked at my watch, it was past seven already.
“Want to grab dinner?” he asked me to pull him close to him.
“Sure.”
The day was almost over… and I would soon forget that even this day happened. After an hour, he brought me to my condo to end the day as it seemed it would be raining hard soon.
“Today was fun, Selene. Thank you for everything.” He gave me a tight hug and his scent intoxicated me, making a tear fall from my eye. I didn’t want tonight to end at all. I just wanted to have him beside me.
“Leo…”
“Thank you for being such a great help to me. Thank you for providing me with your sweet blood. Even if you forget me, I won’t forget your kindness. I’ll see you tomorrow in the party.”
He turned around to open the door but before he could move another inch, I pulled his arm and his face looked back at me. I exhaled, gripping at the hem of my dress. Thunder groaned outside and the lightning made his face reflect very beautifully.
“Selene?”
I could feel my eyes getting watery. I didn’t want to accept the fact that I would be forgetting him as if he never existed in my life. I would be throwing my whole life and be programmed without him in it.
“Selene?” he called out again.
“Just tonight, Leo. Please be mine for tonight.” I shiveringly requested as I took a step closer to him. I was crossing the line already so there was no use pretending that I didn’t want it.
“Selene.” His eyes scanned my every movement. I started unzipping my dress, letting it fall to the ground. The cold air wrapped my body and I wondered how Leo was seeing me now. He had seen me in my underwear many times but it was still nerve-wracking…
“Please be my first and last… before my memories get altered,” I pleaded.
Rain started to pour loudly outside my condo, but we remained frozen on our spot. Our eyes were locked at each other.
“You know this is against the vampire law, Selene,” he muttered.
“I know and I also know the consequences are just the same… My memories would still be altered even if I sleep with you or not. It was still going to end in separation even if I broke all the laws. So please let me have this time, Leo!”
“Are you sure?”
“Have you forgotten that you gave me this day?” was all I told him.
His eyes soon turned pale and his frozen hands landed on my bare skin very slowly. Our lips met halfway and it was the sweetest cold kiss I have ever tasted in my life. I didn’t even know how we got to my bed, but we did. He continued showering me with endless kisses and I was drowning with desire.
His hands traveled to my hips and he started massaging them until he reached the back of my brassieres. He unbuckled them from behind, exposing me completely.
“You’re so beautiful, Selene,” he whispered, making me blush as I slowly felt his lips kiss my neck softly. My hands wrapped around his neck and my chest pressed against his.
“Are you sure about this?” he huffed on my skin.
“I’ve never been sure of anything, Leo…” I gasped when his hand pressed on my right nipple as I tried talking. “A-and the fact that I would still forget the life that I’ve had until tonight… nothing is truly permanent in this world,” I emotionally mumbled.
We stared at each other for a long while as we continued caressing each other's faces before our lips connected and moved in hunger and desperation for each other.
He was cold but he was making me hotter internally. He soon removed his clothes and knelt between my exposed legs. He lowered his face and I started to have a weird feeling as he kissed and licked my womanhood. My thighs wanted to squeeze him with the weird sensation and intense pleasure but the force of his hands holding me was stronger.
“Leo!” I screamed his name in complete pleasure. He was ravaging me and I loved the ecstatic feeling. He was driving me insane!
He worshipped my body like it was the most beautiful gem in the universe. More showers of kisses fluttered in my room and I could only hear my moans with the rain as we became one in this very special night for me.
I held on to Leo as his thrusts became faster and rougher. He pulled my arms over his head and I gripped on my pillows tightly as my legs wrapped on his waist.
“Leo! Leo!” I screamed with the ravaging weather.
I found myself crying not just for happiness but for the sorrow of forgetting him soon. That even this special night with him... would be altered. Everything was bound to disappear and be forgotten.
I woke up alone in my bed, seeing the stain of blood in the middle. It was not even the stain from Leo drinking my blood but from our night together. Last night was definitely real.
I wondered what time Leo left? I was certain that he would be preparing for his big day.
I didn’t want to attend but I had to because it was my last day as a servant, the Vampire Queen Thana also invited me, and it was the last time that I would remember that vampires really do exist. I didn't want to embarrass anyone.
I stood up feeling pain in my private part. My eyes suddenly sparkled with disbelief when I saw this white sparkly dress with a red bow in the waist hanging by the door. I touched the soft satin and a smile drew on my face as it had a note…
‘I’ll see you today in this dress, Selene. —Leo’
But the smile soon disappeared as the wedding invitation fell off from inside the note. I needed to bring all my emotions out so he wouldn’t know. I couldn’t tell anyone.
It was not like a twist of fate or a miracle would occur in my life. This was how everything works being a servant of their clan… or was it?
