My Sexy Boss

Chapter 29: Album Launching

Ch. 29 / 138 Sep 17, 2024

I sat alone in a chair that was set back from their table. After telling the staff that I was Rexon's personal assistant, they asked me to sit here.

Today is the launch of their new album, so many fans were flocking to buy Logistic's limited edition album.

The function hall was packed with fans waiting in line to buy an album and have a chance to sign with the band. Unfortunately, the fans I saw outside didn't get inside because there was limited space in the function hall.

If you look at it, the crowd was mostly women. Most of them were teenagers, and the others were still wearing their school uniforms. They also have a different attraction to the youth because of their looks.

I shook my head repeatedly. I was starting to get a severe headache. My migraine was getting worse. I also feel dizzy because of the noise and screams of people.

I glanced at Rexon, sitting next to the band, smiling at the fans and happily signing the album. Maybe he won't look for me if I will be lost for a while?

I tried to stand up, but I also quickly sat up because of the dizziness.

"Miss, are you okay?" Someone approached me and landed his hand on my shoulder.

"Yup, thanks," I replied to the marshal who was next to me.

"Do you need help? Where are you going?" he asked.

"No, thanks. I'm okay." I smiled in gratitude.

"Devon," he introduced his name, and he raised his hand for a handshake.

I reached out my palm to him. "Cherry."

I tried to stand up again, and I finally did. I smiled at him again and said goodbye.

I've been trying to stop myself from vomiting for a while because of my migraine attack. If I don't do it, I'll take a few more minutes to recover, and that's what I don't want to happen. I rushed outside the function hall in search of the CR, but I couldn't find it. I went down a few hallways but couldn't see anything, and no signs pointed me in the right direction.

"Excuse me, Miss. Can I ask a question?" I held on to a woman's arm.

"What it is?" She frowned.

"Where is the CR here?" I closed my eyes to relieve the pain.

"Turn left at the corner and when you see a hallway, turn right," she answered.

"Thanks," I said weakly.

I obeyed what she said, but the hallway seemed so far away. I held my hand to the wall to be able to walk. I feel like I was going to faint from a severe headache.

When I finally reached the CR, I went straight to the sink to vomit. I took some vomit before I felt comfortable, and my headache lessen.

I think the noise of the crowd triggered why my headache got worse like this. I just sighed before returning to the function hall.

On my way back to the function hall, I met Rexon. His eyes were dark and intense.

"Where have you been?" he asked coldly.

"I'm in the restroom," I said.

"I need my backpack, get it in my car. Here's the key, I need it now," he ordered me.

"S-sure!" I widely smile before turning away from him.

"Wait, Cherry." I stopped walking when I heard him call my name.

"Yes?"

"I saw you earlier messing around with that guy." He folded his arms in front of me.

"Oh, you mean Devon?" I clarified.

"That marshal?" He shook his head and smirked.

"He just offered some help," I explained and shrugged my shoulders.

"Does that include that he needs to introduce himself to you?" he lowered down his voice because of some staff passing by.

I now squinted my eyes. "Wait, is there a problem?" I returned the question to him.

"Yes! I brought you here because your job is to assist me, not to flirt with other guy," he proclaimed.

I blew out a frustrated breath and fired him a look.

"I know where I stand. You don't have to remind me that I am just your personal assistant," I blurted out.

He did not speak immediately. I was also shocked at what I said. The truth was, I don't want to say that, but he keeps pushing me to my limit.

"I'll just take your bag."

Without saying a word, I turned my back on him and went straight out of the building.

I glanced at the fans outside, hoping to get in. Unfortunately, that couldn't happen because it was already crowded inside. I went straight to the parking lot and simply opened it to pick up Rexon's backpack. At that point, I heard a series of cellphone sounds from his bag.

Out of curiosity, I quickly picked it up to answer the caller.

"Japs?" I frowned at the registered name. I let the call end, and I found out that he had already made a few calls.

I quickly went back inside with Rexon's bag in hand, where the band was arranging for their intro number.

"Here's your bag." I handed it to Rexon, who was sitting on a monoblock.

"Someone is calling, maybe an emergency." I vowed my head to look at him in the eyes, and he slowly raised his head, and his eyes slowly pierce my heart.

But before he could answer, his cellphone rang again, which he answered immediately.

He cleared his throat first before he spoke. "Hello, Japs. How are you?"

He was quiet for a while, but he suddenly stood in his seat, so I immediately backed away.

"How was she? Is she okay?!" He started panicking. "I-I'm on my way." Then the call was immediately turned off.

"I need to go!" he said to his bandmates.

"What? We're about to air in a minute," Jeff stopped him.

"Lara needs me!" he impulsively said.
