IT'S TOO LATE to avoid looking at him because he turned to me before consuming the contents of the glass again.
"Let's go!" he said to me, then put down the glass of wine and pulled his leather jacket from the hanger rack.
Jeff, Zach, and Skye went one by one to follow Rexon outside.
I stood up and followed them out. But I would have taken a step back when he stopped walking.
He was now one step ahead of me since he turned around while his leather jacket was slung over his right shoulder.
"Faster!" he said impatiently.
I immediately stepped closer to him without saying a word.
For Pete's sake, why did I gave him the power to control me? I couldn't utter a word to say while we were inside the elevator. It's not crowded because there were only five of us, but why were Rexon and I almost standing shoulder to shoulder? I could feel every time he releases a deep breath next to me.
"Cherry, you can ride on my car if you want." Jeff leaned over me with a broad smile on his lips.
I glanced at Rexon, but he has no reaction.
"Sure," I weakly agreed. Rexon seemed to agree with Jeff's suggestion. Jeff nodded after giving me a smile.
I could only breathe a sigh of relief when we reached the basement where his car was.
"I'll wait you in my car. That's an order!" Rexon whispered emphatically to me as he exited the elevator.
I quickly turned to Jeff, who opened the door for me.
I wanted to tell Rexon that I want to be with Jeff, so I stepped forward to get closer to him. But Rexon squeezed my arm and gently pulled me towards his car.
I could do nothing but get in his car. Without a word, he closed the door loudly before turning to the driver's seat.
"Fasten your seatbelt," he ordered again.
Because of the panic, I could not fasten my seatbelt properly. I was just surprised when Rexon approached me, and without a word, he fastened my seatbelt.
I gasped heavily as I smelled his fresh shower gel and manly scented perfume.
"Better learned not to puzzled when you're with me." He glanced down at me and give me a crook smirked.
My lips felt sorry for what he said. I could not move because of shock. I firmly stiffened my back on the chair. How could he have managed to completely confuse me in such a short period?! Oh, fuck, Cherry!
I need to clear my throat to be able to speak, but I failed. This is not me. I'm not like this even with Calixto.
Why in the world did he have the ability to give me a feeling that I couldn't put into words? I wonder as I wrapped my palms around my thigh.

Only then did I realize that he was going to start the car faster. I felt the color escape from my face as he slammed the car. I feel like I was sitting at the F1 racing car because of its speed.
I was still dumbfounded when his car stopped at the establishment. At the very entrance of the building, there were many fans holding banners and shouting while waiting for them to arrive.
"Ready yourself, they're not friendly." He then gave me a warning smile before leaving the vehicle.
I thought he would run like Jeff, Zach, and Skye did when they entered the building, but he decided to open the door for me first. I could no longer say thank you because his fans came running to us one by one.
"Rexon!" the fans shouted. They even hugged and kissed him on the cheek. I could do nothing but turn a blind eye because they were their fans.
"Excuse me, Miss!" A fan pushed me, so I backed away. I could do nothing but watch his wide smile on the fans as they took a picture and gave an autograph to them.
I couldn't help but look at some of the other upcoming fans, but I frowned when I saw a woman approaching me.
"It's you again?!" she spat. My chest heaved as I was surrounded by her friends.
"What did I tell you? Didn't I tell you to stay away from my boyfriend?!" She eyed me from head to toe.
"Are you his stalker?" I asked with twitched brows.
She grabbed my arm tightly. "I am telling you to back off! Bitch!" She growled at me again.
I didn't move. Instead, I just gave her a sarcastic smile, so she made her frown even more.
"Candice, enough. The signing event will start. We might be banned at the event if you two keep arguing."
"Of course not! Rex won't do that to me, maybe to this bitchy girl!" And then she smiled broadly at me.
I want to laugh at what I heard from her. If she's really Rexon's girlfriend, she won't be outside and will still be waiting for him to arrive.
So I decided to face her and raise an eyebrow at her. "Dream whenever you want, but the problem is, the one you hope for will never yours," I said with a lace of sarcasm.
"What did you say?!" Her eyes widened at me.
"Nothing, excuse me, huh? I'll just go to Rexon." I glared at her, and I threw her my big smile.
I couldn't wait for her response because I pulled my arm and turned my back on her.
I dared to wrestle with Rexon's fans, who were not spared by the guards. I took them one by one to move away.
"Excuse me! Excuse me!" I shouted.
When I reached Rexon, I stood immediately at his side and pulled his arm. Obviously, some fans didn't like what I did, so I heard some explicit words.
"Hey, who are you?!"
"Leave Rexon alone!" One of my hair was pulled back, so I felt pain while the others squeezed my arm, preventing me from moving much.
"You fucking leave him alone!" They were almost hysterical as they rush to get close to him.
"Bitch! Let him go, fucker!" Candice shouted when she got close to us. I couldn't even answer because it seemed that my hair was being pulled again.
Until I was abruptly embraced firmly by someone. I couldn't help but stare at him with a fearful expression on my face.
The hands that had been squeezing me disappeared in an instant, and Rexon's warm palm stroked the fullness of my hair, forcing me to lean down.
"Excuse us! Please!" I heard him say.
The road seemed to part, so we quickly went inside. I even took a deep breath when I heard the shouts of the fans outside. When we got into the building, the pace with which my heart was pounding nearly chased me down.
"Fuck! You shouldn't have done that!" Rexon shouted at me after we went inside.
I looked up at him full of emotion, and I saw his two dark eyes glaring at me. I thought he would like what I did, but he didn't.
"I was just concerned," I said softly.
"Look at them! They are all wild and thirsty, they can hurt you if they want to!"
"I just did it to keep you away from them-"
"Damn!" The words I wanted to say were cut off because of his shout.
"Look, I'm okay. I could handle myself alone. And let me remind you that this is not your job! You are here to assist me, not to guard me! Understand?!"
"Y-yes, of course!" I exclaimed. I tried to act normal and not be offended by what he said.
"Good." After that, he left me to walk inside first. I didn't want to, but I felt tears welling up in my eyes at what he did.
