My Mate Has Two Wolves

Chapter 445

Ch. 445 / 530 May 01, 2026

Third Person's POV

"Of course not! You have such a piano gift. I love listening," Leo didn't dare to discourage the little one. Otherwise, Blake would scold him again.

"Really? Then sit and listen to me play again!" Hedwig insisted.

Leo inwardly groaned but stayed at his mother's gaze.

When the song finally ended, he almost wanted to flee. "Hedwig, something's come up at the company. I have to go!"

Watching his mother patiently guide Hedwig, Leo daydreamed—if he ever had a daughter, he'd definitely leave her in Abigail's care. Only her gentle temperament could raise a well-behaved child.

Back at the company, Leo found Sunny had come in at some point—he'd told her to rest at home. Seems this woman just couldn't stay idle.

"Miss me?" Leo stood before her with a self-assured smile.

Sunny paused, then nodded coyly. "It's so boring at home!"

"Since you're here, keep working on your script and study the character," Leo said, sitting at his desk.

Sunny curiously asked, "Where did you go just now?"

"To see Emerson," Leo replied, a tinge of sadness crossing his mind as he thought of Emerson.

"Is Emerson doing okay? He looked a bit pale last time I saw him," Sunny asked casually.

Leo's eyes instantly reddened. In the next second, he propped his hand over his eyes, not wanting Sunny to see his vulnerability. "He's not doing well."

His voice caught as he spoke.

Sunny stood up and approached him, noticing his red eyes. "What's wrong?"

She'd never seen Leo so fragile. Usually so resolute and strong, his current sorrow left her at a loss.

"I'm fine," Leo shook his head, not wanting to elaborate.

Sunny frowned, realizing Emerson's condition must be grave. She didn't dare probe further and just stood there awkwardly.

Leo wiped the corner of his eye with a tissue and stared blankly out the window. Seeing him so spaced-out, Sunny's heart ached with sympathy.

"Sunny, do you think I'm disappointing you?" Leo suddenly turned to ask.

Sunny was taken aback. "Why would you think that?"

"I know I'm not good enough, acting like an immature jerk. Tell me honestly, I promise not to get mad," Leo felt it was time to be open.

Sunny stole a glance at him and cautiously asked, "Can I really tell the truth?"

"Go ahead," Leo's tone carried a hint of authority.

Sunny took a deep breath and said, "I've always had hope in you. Never been disappointed. I'm clear on where we stand. You've been patient and done your best with me."

Leo was surprised, then overjoyed. "Is this really what you think?"

"Yes. Though you can be temperamental and as stubborn as a child..."

"Alright, that's enough. I know my flaws," Leo interrupted, raising his hand.

Sunny was speechless.

This man only wanted to hear compliments? He just said to be honest.

"Given Olivia's decent apology, I've decided to propose to you," Leo shamelessly locked eyes with her.

"Ah!" Sunny was utterly shocked.

Leo raised an eyebrow and said, "Don't tell me you're scared?"

"You... are serious?" Sunny recalled his previous proposal that had fizzled out due to circumstances.

"Yes, this time for real," Leo stood up, closed in, wrapped an arm around her waist, and gently guided her head to his chest.

Sunny felt as if she were dreaming, yet the warm embrace brought her back. "Okay, if you say it's real, I'll believe you." Her heart now followed his lead entirely.

Leo whispered in her ear, "Do I really have no credibility?"

Sunny broke free, lowered her eyelids, "You're the person I trust the most right now."

Leo loved this answer. Just as his mood brightened, an assistant handed him an envelope.

He opened it and his face turned ashen. "Samuel owns 30% of Nebula Media? Plus photos of his secret meetings with the executives. He's been hiding deep!"

Sunny peered at the photos—indeed, it was his Vice President Samuel chatting animatedly with Nebula's top brass. "Who sent these materials?"

"Cedrick collected them for me. My people are mostly known to Samuel, and he's even met my Blake's men, so Cedrick took the initiative to investigate him."

"No wonder—he's Jessica's boyfriend," Sunny remarked, knowing Jessica's loyalty to the company.

"Samuel has 30% equity and controls entertainment resources. No wonder Nebula rose so quickly. The stars he poached were all my old team. He was trying to hollow out my company!"

Leo grew colder with each word, realizing the deputy who seemed respectful was a mole.

"This two-faced fox can't keep up the act much longer," Leo slammed the table. "With solid evidence, let's see him wriggle out!"

"Are you going to confront him now?" Sunny asked anxiously.

"Exactly. Can't let a traitor stir up trouble in the company."

Sunny nodded. "You've stripped his power. Now's the perfect time. I'm going with you."

"No need. Don't get involved," Leo said quietly.

"I don't trust you going alone. What if he tries something?" Sunny insisted.

"He won't dare with me. After all, he's the one at fault," Leo frowned.

"One can't judge others' actions. Who knows what he might do?" Sunny stood her ground.
