Rika has little contact with other people. Once she has a boyfriend, she will flatly refuse other men who want to get to know her.
"She is my girlfriend, so please give up the idea of getting to know her," Key said with a calm expression but his solemn tone and cold face made Run tremble a little.
"I'm sorry," Run said and he left them.
On the last day of the vacation, Rika just rested on the beach. She wears the bikini that Key helped her choose earlier. And he was swimming near the shore.
Rika took the camera because she wanted to take a few more pictures. She went away from Key to take pictures. On the other hand, he was swimming, so he didn't see that Rika had left her beach bench.
After taking a series of photos, she decided to head back to the beach. She's afraid Key won't find her.
Unfortunately, when she wanted to step down the rocky mountain, her foot suddenly tripped over the rock and she also fell from the cliff. The camera was pointed towards the ocean, her head hit a rock before falling straight into the ocean.
Key was enjoying the underwater view as he continued to swim away from the shore. When he came out of the water, he saw that Rika was gone from her bench
He narrowed his eyes slightly, trying to spot her figure. Not long after, he noticed someone standing behind a rock on the cliff.
From the shape and appearance, he was sure it was Rika. He swam slowly from the ocean to her.
After a few minutes, he saw the silhouette of something falling from the cliff. He was focused on looking at the falling object when suddenly he heard someone slowly scream before it went silent. It was Rika's scream.
Seeing Rika fall from the cliff, he swam at high speed to save her. He knew Rika was not good at swimming. So he has to save her before she completely drowns in the ocean.
After five minutes, Key emerged from the water, carrying her in his arms. He brought her ashore. Rika suffered a head injury with a wound on the top of her forehead. She lost consciousness when she hit her head on a rock before falling to the ground. Key tries to perform CPR on her. And take her to a nearby hospital.
"Please wait here. We do our best to save her." One of the doctors calmly spoke to Key.
Key is still worried. He can't even stop shaking his knees when he's sitting. Key didn't dare call David and Rika's family. He was there before she fell but he couldn't do anything about it because it happened so fast.
He promised David to protect and take good care of Rika, but now, she has an accident.
Who knows what would happen if David got angry? Now, the main question is how will he handle it if she can't be saved. Will he also follow her to the afterlife?
At this thought, Key's body shivered slightly.
After a two-hour wait, a female doctor and several other doctors on her team also came out of the emergency door.
Key nodded.
"Her condition is stable. She has had several stitches on her forehead and we also did a full x-ray. Currently, there is nothing serious on her head and bones, only a few bruises on her body. Thank you for giving her CPR before bringing her here. But we still need to do a full check-up before she can be discharged from the hospital. She will need some medicine. Her throat will also feel a little sore from the salt water, so it's better if you buy her some porridge as her meal." The doctor explained to Key clearly.
"Uh. One more thing, what exactly happened to her? I just got some information that she fell off the cliff." The doctor caressed her chin curiously.
"I think it was because she slipped and fell. At that time, it was only her, other than that there was no one there." Key said with a normal face but inside he felt relieved at what the doctor just announced.
The female doctor nodded and walked out of the waiting room.
Key goes back to the hotel to get some clothes for her and order some dinner for her before he goes back to the hospital.
When she entered the hospital room, Rika woke up. She sat on the hospital bed, bewilderedly looking out the window.
Looking at the man in front of her, Rika asked. "Who are you?"
Surprised by the question, Key's face paled. He wanted to call the doctor but then he heard Rika's laughter from behind.
"Hey, where are you going?" She asked again. She burst out laughing when she saw his shocked face.
"You... Do you know how scared I was?" he asked angrily.
"What do you fear?"
He shook his head. Lifting his left hand, he handed her a bag he had prepared for her.
"Thanks, Key." She took her bag and went to the bathroom. While changing clothes, she also examined the wound on her forehead.
'With this wound, it will make me look ugly.' She said in her heart and sighed.
Stepping out of the bathroom and sitting in front of him, with a serious face, she asked him.
"Have you informed David about this yet?"
"Not yet." Key is also serious.
"Good. Don't tell him." She breathed a sigh of relief.
"Rika, what happened? How did you fall off the cliff?" Key asked with a worried expression.
"I wanted a good angle, so I climbed a rock and took a photo. Unfortunately, I slipped and fell." Rika explained.
"Just because of the pictures you almost died. I was very scared. What if I don't see you and save you?"
"I know. I'm sorry." Rika said sorry.
"If something happens to you, I don't know how I will live. And your family, I feel sorry for Mr. David." Key said after being silent for a while.
"Don't be mad at me, I was wrong. Just don't talk about this with my brother. He'll scold me if he knows I'm playful and almost dies."
"But will he see the wound on your forehead?"
"Don't worry, I'll hide it behind my bangs." Rika took her hair and covered the wound on her forehead.
"Don't scare me like that again. Maybe I'll die of shock." He scooped her up a bowl of porridge bought at a nearby restaurant.
Rika's eyes lit up as she looked at the cup. She quickly nodded to the man in front of her.
"Here. Eat. Make sure you can leave the hospital tomorrow."
The delicious smell of porridge made Rika feel hungry. She took the cup and started eating it.
