Ch. 143 / 164 Sep 17, 2024

His sincerity attracted many people to stop and surround Key and Rika. They admire because of the man's love, but because of the woman's hesitation, they feel impatient.

"Girl, accept his proposal." There was an old man who couldn't wait any longer, he admonished.

"Yes, your boyfriend loves you very much, you should quickly agree with him."

"It's amazing, if a man like that proposed to me, I'm sure I'd say yes immediately."

In a short time, advice and admiration spread to everyone around. They put off what they were doing to wait for the woman's reaction.

Rika's eyes looked around, she looked at everyone's expectant expressions, Rika became clear, and only a second later her eyes filled with tears.

She turned her gaze to Key who was kneeling on the ground, his eyes fixed on hers, Rika bit her lip.

'I'm not dreaming. Everything is true. He proposed to me.' Rika said in her heart.

Her tears fell like rain, they were tears of happiness. Because in her heart she understood that she chose to love him and believe him.

"Rika, do you agree?" Key smiled at her, the sincerity in his eyes never changed.

Rika's eyes looked at the diamond ring inside the box which was a heart-shaped ring, she hesitated for a moment, then slowly reached out her hand.

Seeing her move, Key knew it was her answer. He quickly took the ring out of the box and put it on her hand, only to find that his hand was shaking.

"I love you," Key said with a proud smile. He finally felt relieved as he stared at the ring on Rika's hand. "I put it on your finger and now you belong to me, Rika. You won't be able to escape anymore."

Applause and blessings rang out from around, the very busy airport lounge.

Ignoring everyone's attention, Key stood up from the ground, holding her in his lap.

Rika felt extremely happy.

'I want to marry you too, Key.' She thought that.

On the way back to work, Key said. "We should register our marriage, the sooner the better. Rika, what do you think?" Blinking his starry eyes, Key looked at Rika who was sitting in the seat next to him. Even though it was just a question, deep in his heart, he wanted it. If Rika agrees, he will take her to the marriage registration and then a solemn wedding ceremony.

"Why are you in such a hurry?" Rika blinked.

"I can't wait to have you in my life."

Arriving at the Anthony building, Key drove into the parking lot. They got out of the car and walked side by side. Key grabbed Rika's hand and stared at her.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Rika was stunned by his strange behavior.

"Can't I look at you like this?" Key scoffed. "From now on, you are not allowed to look at any other man."

Rika raised an eyebrow. "Key, can you tell me the reason?"

"Because I'm so good to you," Key asked. "Rika, do you think I'm handsome? Between me and your more handsome brother?"

"So boring!" Rika rolled her eyes at him.

Suddenly, Key turned to Rika's face. Placing his hand on her cheek, he exclaimed. "Whatever! I'm the most handsome, kindest man in your eyes. In your eyes, you can only see me and have me in your heart."

"Okay, I know," Rika muttered.

Snow melts and flowers bloom. Spring comes after winter. March is pleasant and sunny. The beauty of nature has made people feel comfortable.

In David's mansion, laughter echoed inside. They are having a barbecue in the yard. Zelda is playing with Elias. Ella is busy grilling the meat, but she still looks over at her two kids from time to time to see if they're okay.

"When are you two going to get married?" David was eating barbecue while asking Key and Rika.

"We have discussed, we will get married next month." Key smiled and replied.

"I will be the best man and Ella will be the bridesmaid, how do you two feel?" David chuckled.

"It was great, general manager." Key answered him with a flattering smile.

"Why do you call me general manager? You must call me brother-in-law."

"Yes, brother-in-law."

"Do you want to eat meat?" With a plate in hand, Rika asked Key. "I just baked it."

Key looked at her with a goofy smile. When he touched her long hair, he spoke in a loving voice. "My Rika is the best."

Rika blushed.

"Did you tell your mother about your marriage to Rika?" David asked while feeding Elias food.

"I told her and she would come," Key replied with a beaming face.

"Wonderful." David nodded.

Warm air. They enjoyed a barbecue together happily.

A few weeks later.

Key and Rika were finishing up getting ready for the ceremony. Rika was in a room with her brother, mother, and the makeup artist while Key was also in another room at the venue with his best friends and his colleagues in the company.

Last night, both of them had their bachelor and bachelorette parties to celebrate their last nights as single. Key and his friends went to a gaming bar and such while Rika spent her bachelorette party with her older brother and her sister-in-law. They went to a drag queen show as well as getting their nails done with her sister-in-law, too. They had an amazing time, but yet... they felt so lonely without one another.

Rika's makeup artist, who was a friend of her mother's, just finished putting the finishing touches on Rika's face before Rika looked into a mirror. Rika was quite surprised.

"You truly look like a princess, sis. So beautiful" David said to her. Rika smiled. Rika's hair was down with a bun done up in the back with stars placed in and around the bun. Her dress was also in a princess style with sparkle and shimmer throughout the dress, including the skirt, too. On this day, Rika truly does feel like a princess. A princess who is about to marry her prince charming.

"Thank you, David," Rika said back to him. She returned the mirror to the artist and then took a deep breath before looking at her mother.

"Are you okay, Rika?" Her mother asked Rika. Rika nodded.

"Yes, Mom. Though, there is something on my mind." Rika replied and spoke.

"And that would be?" Her mother asked.

"Is it weird to not have cold feet when it comes to getting married?" Rika asked. Her mother shocked her head.

"I do not think it is weird for that. Not at all." Her mother replied. Rika felt better about that.

"That is good to know because I do not feel that I have cold feet at all. I mean, I am a little nervous because I am getting to my soulmate but... because... I just have this weird gut feeling that something could go wrong. Even if I do not want to feel this way about it." Rika told her mother and brother.
