"Okay, I'm not forcing you. I saw Key a while ago. His expression wasn't good. I guess you two argued. I won't meddle in your business. No matter what. Whatever happens, calmly solve the problem. Don't miss a good man like Key." Mr. Harry advises his niece.
"Yes, I know."
Mr. Harry knew she was awkward, saying no, so he didn't force Rika either. He just gave some advice, to support Rika. Rika is no longer a child, he believes she will know what she should and shouldn't do.
At the end of the workday, David folded the documents, turned off the computer, and he walked out of the room after turning off the lights. There was no one in the hallway. All staff has left.
As David walked past Key's room, he noticed that the lights in Key's room were still on. David pushed open the door and walked in to find Key resting his head on the table.
Hearing footsteps, Key raised his head. "General manager."
"Key, what's wrong? Why aren't you back yet?" David asked while sitting down on the chair opposite Key's desk.
Key sighed. "Rika is mad at me." His voice trailed off as he spoke to David. In contrast, the corner of David's lips twitched when he saw Key's appearance for the first time. He was always a cheerful, calm man.
David asked. "Why? What did you do to make her angry? Rika is not the type of woman who likes to sulk."
"I..." Key stammered and told David everything.
After hearing everything from Key, David is not happy about him. "Your biggest weakness is not being definitive. If you love my sister then be decisive and keep your distance from other women. Women are very sensitive. I know you don't have feelings for Wendy, but your actions will mislead her into thinking that you like her. And she'll hope. When she knows you don't like her, she'll be disappointed and upset. Now tell her. immediately before Wendy gives you a lot of love."
Key understood the problem, and he nodded. "I agree with you even though I'm thinking about it too. I know Wendy is nice to me, it's just... I don't want to upset her."
"I see what you mean. You're a nice guy but in love, you need to be decisive. Of course, someone will be sad but that will be good for Wendy. She will no longer hope for you and her. will find the right man for her." David patted Key's shoulder.
Key hugs David and says. "Thanks for the advice. I'll talk to Wendy tomorrow."
David smiled and said. "Don't thank me. You also gave me advice when I was stuck."
The next day, Key meets Wendy at the canteen to clarify. Key looks very nervous as he talks about their relationship. Anyway, he worked with her for many years. So he first asked her how the company's project was.
"It was good," Wendy answered him and noticed that he looked very nervous, so she asked. "Key, am I making you nervous?"
He shook his head.
"Then why do you look so worried?" she asked. "I can guess that you're trying to say something to me, say it to me without hesitation."
Key took a sip of water from the glass of water. "The matter I tell you now will hurt your feelings, but I have to tell you this. I didn't make this decision overnight, only after thinking I made the decision. this decision is a lot, so I hope you will understand me. I only see you as a friend, a colleague. I'm sorry for making you misunderstand that I like you. like other people."
Wendy was heartbroken to hear such a decision from him. "The woman you like is Rika?"
Key nodded in acknowledgment. "I'm sorry. I hope we continue to maintain this friendship. So please try to understand me."
"I know. I've seen the gestures and attitudes on your face when you meet Rika. You don't have to apologize to me. It's because I misunderstood your feelings. We are still colleagues, still make a good couple at work, okay?" Wendy smiled.
Key also smiled, he added. "But please keep your distance from me and don't talk, don't act too intimate with me like the past few days. I don't want Rika to misunderstand anymore. Now, she's mad at me."
"Don't worry. I'll help you explain things to Rika." Wendy promises to help him make peace with Rika. This makes him very happy.
Key returned to his office. Along the way, he meets David. David saw that Key's mood was very happy, so he asked. "Did things end well for Wendy?"
Key answered him with a nod.
"What did she say?" David asked.
"Wendy said she would meet Rika and explain everything."
David nodded. "Good. I congratulate you. Don't let something like this happen again in the future."
"I know, General Manager." Key happily replied.
At the canteen.
Wendy sat across from Rika at the dining table. Wendy looked at Rika's face before speaking. "Please don't be mad at Key, it's all my fault. I liked him, so I acted like a fool. I said things that make you misunderstand me and he is very close. Last time, in Key's office, I purposely fell on him. I didn't want to lose him, so I did those things."
Rika was quite shocked by what Wendy revealed. She was silent, waiting for Wendy to continue.
"I know the person he likes is a friend, I'm afraid that when he has a girlfriend, he won't be interested in me anymore. Although I like him, he only sees me as his colleague. Hope you don't get mad at him. He was very upset about this, and so was I. I made the two of you quarrel and get angry. I am sorry." Wendy stood up from her chair and bowed her head. "I was selfish, wasn't I?"
Rika also stood up. "You don't bow to me when I'm younger than you. I also feel guilty, I behaved like a child."
Wendy smiled. "You're not mad at me and Key?"
"No." Rika put a smile on her lips. "I thought about it a lot and I felt bad about myself. I'm just sulking over meaningless things."
"I'm glad you figured it out." Wendy took her hand. "Maybe I just adore Key, it might not be love."
