Suddenly, a girl bumped into Key's back. "Oh, Key." The moment the obnoxious girl appeared, she grabbed Key's arm.
"Nancy?" Key calls. Nancy is the girl who lives with him at the orphanage.
Rika's heart was boiling with anger, and her nostrils flared. Why is her voice like this? Too tall with a lovely vibe around her, it's annoying and obnoxious. And why is that girl always holding Key's hand?
Rika just stared at the two of them. It looks like she and her group of girlfriends are also lining up to get into the Haunted Mansion. Key wriggled his arm from Nancy's grip. "Long time no see. Are you here alone?" She stupidly asked. She holds Key's hand again. "No, I'm staying with my girlfriend." Key's facial expression is still monotonous.
Rika moved and stood between them so that she was the one next to Key. Rika glared at Nancy. "But..." When she wanted to cling to Key's arm again, Rika clung to his arm again.
"Key, it's our turn next," Rika said to Key, looking up at him and clutching his arm. She moves him slightly so that his torso is forward like hers. Key just stared at her, eyes glittering. He didn't expect her to act like this out of jealousy. Rika turned slightly, sticking her tongue out at Nancy.
"Rika?"
"Hmm?" She turned her attention back to Key. She pulled her hand away from him. "I'm sorry" refers to holding hands without his permission.
Key hugged Rika's face and leaned closer to her. Rika's eyes widened in surprise. He took her mouth and kissed her. Did Key just kiss her in public? Rika slowly closed her eyes as he tilted his head slightly, deepening the kiss. Only then did he pull away, seeing her cheeks flush with embarrassment from kissing in public.
"Rika, you're so cute." He placed a pure kiss on her lips before putting his arm around Rika's shoulder. Hold her tight, treat her like his possession.
Rika was ecstatic by the kiss, she couldn't even think properly. Okay... Maybe he did it because he wanted to show Nancy. She could hear Nancy moaning behind her back but Key never cared. A sigh of relief escaped Rika's lips.
When they returned to the manor, Mrs. Jade was awake. She made tea and Rika arranged the cakes on the plate. They sat outside in the garden, drinking tea eating cakes, and chatting.
"How did you two know each other?" Mrs. Jade said, she blew the tea to cool it and took a sip but hurriedly.
"She's my boss's sister. She frequents her brother's company. I fell in love with her from the first time I met her." Key replied.
Rika made a surprised expression. "I didn't know that."
"Because it's a secret." Key grinned. "And now you know."
"So, when did you fall in love with him?" Mrs. Jade continued to ask Rika.
"Since he saved me from the bad guys in the bar," Rika replied. She reminisces.
While drinking tea, they talked about their memories, their childhood, and their relatives without saying a word bad about anyone.
Moments later, Mrs. Jade went inside the house and came back with a birthday cake in her hand.
Putting the cake down on the table, she looked at Key and said. "Happy birthday, son."
Key was quite a surprise. "You remember my birthday?"
"I am the one who gave birth to you, of course, I remember." Mrs. Jade smiled.
For the first time, Key is happy on his birthday. He has a girlfriend and finds his mother.
Meanwhile, David's little family goes out and has dinner at a nearby Thai restaurant.
They ate dinner together and drove back to their manor afterward. Mrs. Jade, Rika, and Key were still gathered in one of the south rooms of the manor. They entered the house from the garden because the weather was a bit cold.
The place where David's family is staying is north of the manor. In early October, the wind and weather change as temperatures begin to drop. Luckily, Ella has prepared her two children with some thick clothes and knee-length boots.
Inside the house, David set the temperature to keep them warm. Ella changed the children's clothes and removed their boots, leaving only their socks and long-sleeved shirts. David also took off his coat and shoes. He sat on the couch in the living room area.
After Zelda and Elias had gone to bed, Ella walked down to the living room and sat next to her husband.
David turned on his laptop on the movable table in front of him.
He stroked her hair with one hand, and he asked her. "Tired?"
She didn't look at the man as she nodded back at him.
"Tomorrow we will also go camping outside." He looked down at her and smiled before continuing again. "I need you to save your energy because it's going to be a very tiring day ahead."
"Mhm... can we just stay here and cuddle?"
Giggling, he slid his hand around her neck and then slipped inside her shirt against her bare skin and spoke. "Sure." He grinned widely.
Ella's eyes widened as she saw his sly smile. "Okay, okay. I stick with your plan. Your plan looks good too. Mine doesn't look good." She took his hand from her shirt and brought it to her cheek. "Let's go to sleep. You also need to conserve energy, right?"
David nodded and carried her into the bedroom.
Put her to bed, David said. "You go to sleep first. I have some work to do."
"Okay." She said in a low voice.
David planted a kiss on her forehead and wished her good night before he stepped out into the lounge.
He closes the window and turns off his laptop. Then he went to one of the closets in the house and picked up his Canon camera and lenses. David put it in his bag and pulled out a few items for tomorrow's camping and put it in the trunk of the car before going to bed.
In the south room.
Mrs. Jade has gone to sleep, leaving only Rika and Key.
Rika showered quickly, wearing a comfortable plain white t-shirt and also a pair of high-waisted spandex sports shorts, which were quite casual and comfortable, beige.
Rika quickly put on her slippers and ran to the sofa. Key is sitting there. Just now she drank the soup he warmed up. After pouring her water, he sat across from her. He said that he was craving seaweed soup and since today was his birthday, she felt the need to drink it with him.
