Rika swallowed hard as she peeked at them. The guy was groping the girl's breasts and then his hand went under her shirt making Rika very surprised. The girl even took off the guy's belt and put her hand in. Right after that, Key moved and sat right next to Rika. Instead, he moved her head with his hand to look at him. Key was staring at her.
"We shouldn't look at them." He mumbled and turned his face the other way. His ears turned red as he turned his head away from her. It's awkward... it's awkward. At this point, Rika wanted to jump out of the car. The car is still aloft, hanging from the top of this ferris wheel. Silence enveloped the air. Rika gripped her shirt tightly as the two heard groans coming from the other stroller. This place is supposed to be innocent and even have children. What do they think they are doing?
Rika bit her bottom lip, feeling embarrassed and awkward because it also reminded her that Key had never kissed her, let alone touched her breasts like that.
"Rika..." he called, so she turned her head to face him. "I bought you something," Key said and took out a silver chain with a buckle. It is small, delicate, and beautiful.
"Should I wear this for you?" He asked politely and Rika nodded while giving him a warm smile. Key leaned closer, fastening the hook of the necklace.
"It's beautiful," Rika commented while holding the pendant.
Maybe now is the perfect time for Rika to say the three words 'I like you'.
"Key, I want to tell you something." Rika slightly turned her body towards him. Key was waiting patiently beside her, eyes sparkling. Rika bit her lower lip, feeling anxious for no reason.
Ten seconds. Twenty seconds. Thirty seconds passed.
"I like you," Rika said while closing her eyes. Right after that, the fireworks party started like a shower in the sky. Rika's eyes widened, eyebrows furrowed because Key was no longer paying attention to her. Did the fireworks just now get his attention? Now it's very noisy. Did she miss her chance? Rika pouted, it took her so long to say this and now she has to say it again just because of those damn fireworks?
Rika grabbed his hand, Key turned his attention back to her instantly.
"Yes, Rika?" He asked she couldn't hear him at all due to the fireworks being so loud. She raised her hand and cupped his face. She swallowed hard. She leaned her face close to his as he leaned forward, staring blankly at her.
"I like you," Rika whispered in Key's ear. She closed her eyes as she uttered those three words, not ready to see his expression. She guessed it was natural to blush when he was this close.
"What?"
"Hmm." Rika slowly opened her right eye to look at Key, whose cheeks were painted pink. She slowly shifted her gaze to his lips. He bit his bottom lip now. Rika leaned forward and placed a light kiss on it.
Rika jumped back in surprise after that, pulling her hand away from him. Butterflies flew in her stomach and her heart beat wildly. Did she just kiss Key? Now she just stared at him with her blushing cheeks. Rika swallowed hard when he didn't say anything, he was surprised because it was the first time she took the initiative to kiss him. The kiss lasted about ten seconds before he said this in her ear.
"Next year, can we get married?" Key whispered amid the fireworks that were blooming in the sky. His hot breath against her ear made her feel ticklish. It made her shiver, she felt excited. Without even waiting for Rika to reply, he took 'yes' from her and affirmed her lips afterward.
Rika was in the restroom after getting off the Ferris wheel. She is recalling what happened earlier. She finally confessed her feelings for Key. Rika slapped her face once to make sure it was real. Now that she was touching her lips, Rika also kissed him. Smile at yourself like a fool in front of the mirror, looking at your reflection. Wow, she made it. Rika slowly stroked her heart, soothing the pounding heart in her chest.
Rika also thought about marrying Key next year. Why would he want to quickly marry her while they are still young? Suddenly she was thinking about the couple in the other stroller, kissing. Key wouldn't do something like that to her, would he? Sweat beaded the back of her neck as she was reminded of that. Rika returned to reality when she felt her phone vibrate.
"Come and hug me now if you want to be my girlfriend." Key sent a message. Upon receiving his message, butterflies flew in Rika's stomach. She stopped thinking and ran out of the bathroom, looking for Key. Now it's crowded, she can't find him.
Rika walks along the rides, crosses the carousel, and stops. Key was standing at the bottom of the stairs right in front of the carousel, arms outstretched. She grinned when she saw how he smiled at her too. Rika ran down, step by step, jumping slightly as she reached Key to receive his embrace.
Rika wrapped her arms around Key's neck tightly. He also wraps his strong arms around her torso, balancing her weight on him as her legs are lifted, completely dependent on him. He kissed Rika lightly on the lips when his eyes met hers. "I love you, baby. Will you be my wife?" He asked one last time and she nodded, her eyes sparkling.
Key says to enter the Haunted Mansion as the last one before going back. They are now waiting in line to get in. The couple in front of Rika was getting intimate and she grimaced. She doesn't want to look at Key because it's awkward. Why are all couples like this? Rika was watching the other rides so he wouldn't see how her cheeks were burning from the couple in front of her.
Rika was also trying to slowly take her hand away from him because she didn't know how to react to this sight. Is kissing in public awkward and embarrassing?
