Raphael POV
My heart was pounding.
Araceli was wearing my shirt. Why did I feel all hot after seeing her?
She looked really beautiful, though. Her hair was brown and shiny and curly. Her eyes were so deep and mesmerizing...
No wonder she was previously known as the most beautiful woman in New York.
I had never been frivolous, but this time was different. I couldn't seem to control my feelings.
When Melany came to me with two babies in her arms, I didn't feel any bit of affection for her. I just accepted her, but didn't admit to being with her.
I thought, went to my room and took out my hair dryer and gave it to Araceli.
"Thank you, Mr. Lancaster."
She said politely with a smile as she took the hair dryer. I didn't know what to say in response, and nodded without speaking.
I watched as she turned around, entered the room and closed the door.
I felt my throat go dry, and my body got hot. I touched my forehead and felt the fine beads of sweat.
What was going on?
I went to get a bottle of water and gulped it down, feeling much more comfortable.
At that moment, Araceli put on her dress and came out.
Still smiling politely, she said to me, "Mr. Lancaster, thank you. Here is your shirt."
She handed me the white shirt. I reached out, took the shirt, and touched her fingers.
Her skin was warm and soft, making me suddenly feel my heart skip a beat.
I seemed to smell the faint scent of jasmine on her from the shirt.
I swallowed, pretended to be calm, and said, "Ms. Chancey, you should come to Royal Group tomorrow. I want to talk to you formally about a partnership."
She nodded, and the aroma seemed to intensify. "Okay. See you tomorrow, Mr. Lancaster."
She stepped on her high heels and headed for the door.
Essel came up to her. She hugged Araceli and said reluctantly, "Ms. Chancey, you promised me you'd come to see me in a few days, right?"
I saw her looking at Araceli expectantly, beaming. She was so cute.
Araceli nodded, squatted down, and said to Essel, "Of course. However, Essel, you promised me that you would listen to your father. If you can keep your promise, I will bring Valeria to visit you often in the future."
Essel nodded and said firmly, "Ms. Chancey, don't worry. I will."
Araceli lifted her wrist, glanced at her watch, and frowned slightly.
"Essel, I have to go now. I'll see you next time."
With that, she hurried out, got in her car, and left.
I let out a small sigh of relief and went upstairs.
Micah was coming home today. It was already four in the afternoon. I need to get ready too.
It was 6:00 p.m. when Maddox went to the airport to pick Micah up.
Micah and I chatted for a while and ate something. Then, he went upstairs, back to his room, and said he had some things to take care of. I didn't ask him.
I turned on my phone, saw a recent international industry news item, and was ready to talk to Micah about investments. Just as I got to the door of his room, I heard the sound of fingers tapping on a keyboard.
What was Micah doing?
I could guess from the sound that he wasn't working on his work, but hacking.
With a slight frown, I pushed the door open and walked in.
There were no lights on in the room. The light from the computer screen reflected on Micah's face, making the beads of sweat on his forehead appear even clearer.
"Micah, what are you doing?" I asked him coldly, standing in the doorway. "I told you that you can no longer use hacking techniques. Did you forget that?"
Micah froze for a few seconds, pursed his lips, and didn't say anything.
After a moment, he said, "I'm trying to figure out how to delete that video of Mommy that was exposed online. It's for her and the family's reputation."
He continued tapping his fingers on the keyboard, his face troubled and anxious. I guessed he must be in huge trouble. He would only look like that when he had a very difficult problem.
I took one step over and looked at the computer screen.
Melany brought a group of bodyguards to Araceli a few days ago, and I knew about it. Although public opinion had stopped attacking Melany, as long as this video still existed, the number of hits would be increasing. In any case, it did have an impact on her.
Although I did not declare her relationship with me to the public, she gave birth to two lovely children for me.
I had to help her.
I frowned and picked up Micah's collar.
"Daddy! Let go of me! I swear, this is the last time I..."
"Get up. I'll try."
I threw him onto the bed and sat down in front of the computer, looking carefully at the string of code.
Micah stopped talking and got off the bed and came over immediately. I thought he was also curious about how I would delete this video.
The video was encrypted with hundreds of passwords.
Micah couldn't solve such a difficult code, but I could.
In fact, it wasn't difficult for me. However, as far as I know, there were only a few hackers in the world who could write it at the moment.
Who was the person who encrypted this video?
I looked at the anonymous account that sent this video, frowned slightly, and decided to find the IP address of this account.
Unfortunately, I failed.
The IP address of this account changed every five seconds, as if there were servers all over the world.
I was shocked, but there was nothing I could do.
I deleted the video, but I wasn't able to find out who this person was.
This evoked a strong curiosity in me.
Who was this hacker?
I pinched the middle of my eyebrows and slumped back in my chair.
Micah watched the string of code disappear from the computer screen and let out an excited cry.
"Daddy, you're really awesome! Can you teach me this? Plz!!!"
I felt exhausted, so I shook my head and said I would teach him another time. He was obviously a little lost, but didn't say anything about it.
I went back to my room and got ready to take a shower and go to bed.
I walked into the bathroom and saw the white shirt that I had just casually thrown in the wash basin. I frowned slightly and unconsciously picked up the shirt and smelled it.
As I snapped back into reality, I was surprised to find out why I had done so.
What was I craving? Could it be the smell of Araceli's body?
I stared at the shirt in my hand, took a deep breath, and tossed it into the laundry basket.
