Araceli POV
Veronica said angrily, "Evelin, I will not allow anyone in this house to call Araceli and her children names. You have crossed my bottom line so many times. Get the hell out of my house right now!"
Evelin's eyes filled with fury.
At that moment, Keegan's car pulled up in the yard.
Evelin immediately ran to the door and cried, "Dad, Grandma's kicking me out! This is also my home..."
Her tears kept flowing down.
I sneered and picked up Valeria.
Keegan frowned and said, "Evelin, you're married. Your husband would be upset if you came back too often, wouldn't he? In the future, don't come back if you have nothing important to do."
Evelin's eyes widened.
Keegan hurried into the living room. He saw me sitting on the couch and hurried over. "Araceli, thank God you're here. Silver Group made a product sample with Creaty. It's even better than the finished product we made before! Would you like to come with me to see it? Everyone in the company is shocked."
I looked up, smiled, and said, "Keegan, Eliezer has sent me the sample."
Keegan suppressed his excitement and said, "Araceli, Eliezer and I want to hire you to work at Silver Group. You'll be our full-time engineering expert. Not only that, you will get exclusive technical rights to these products."
"Thanks for your appreciation, Keegan. But I'm sorry that I have to say no, because I'm going to start a new software company," I said.
Keegan bowed his head in some disappointment. "Well, Araceli, I'd still like you to reconsider my offer."
Evelin looked at me, shaking with anger.
Veronica frowned slightly and sent Evelin away. The villa finally quieted down.
Veronica shook her head and said, "Araceli, Evelin has been spoiled since she was a child. Don't take her words to heart."
I said, "She can humiliate me, but she can't insult my children. That's my bottom line."
Veronica sighed and asked the maid to bring a box.
She opened the box. A crown shone brightly in the light.
"Araceli, I was going to give this to your mother. Now, I'm giving it to you." Veronica stroked my head. "Tomorrow night at the banquet, you will wear this crown to attend. I have prepared a dress for you. It was Parisian haute couture to your size."
I looked at the crown in my hand. It was crystal clear and was studded with countless diamonds.
I knew this crown was worth a fortune.
I had tears in my eyes and said, "Thank you, Grandma."
Veronica said seriously to me, "Araceli, tomorrow, the members of Eclipse are coming too..."
I stared at her firmly and nodded my head.
...
The next day.
Night fell.
At eight o'clock in the evening, a long line of limos were parked in front of Silver Fang's villa.
Silver Fang was a very powerful family in New York, so all the rich families basically got the invitation.
However, no one knew why Silver Fang was hosting tonight's party.
Guests were drinking and talking in the courtyard.
I was upstairs in the dressing room.
I was wearing a purple Dior dress. Looking at my face in the mirror, I smiled confidently.
The hemline of the dress was embellished with sparkling diamonds. These were all hand sewn. The dress was glowing as the light shone through, also illuminating my face.
I wore a pair of diamond earrings from Bulgari, a snake necklace around my neck, and a crown on my head that Veronica had given me.
Everything was perfect.
At this time, Evelin pushed in the door and saw me.
Her eyes were red with jealousy.
Of course, I wouldn't be afraid of her either.
Evelin came forward with a glass of champagne and smiled, "Araceli, you are so beautiful. No wonder you were previously known as the most beautiful woman in New York."
She didn't finish her sentence before she splashed the champagne she was holding on my dress.
"Oh! Araceli, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to..."
Evelin apologized, her eyes full of viciousness.
"Evelin, it's okay." I smiled, "Five years ago, every time I went to a party, someone would deliberately pour liquor on me just to make a fool of me..."
I lifted the hem of my dress.
Drops of water rolled off the hem of my dress and dripped onto the floor.
My dress was still sparkling and unstained by the slightest wine stain.
"I specifically chose a dress that wouldn't get wet this time." I smile, "Evelin, it's okay. I know you should just be careless."
Evelin froze.
Suddenly, a voice came.
"Evelin! Get out!"
Eliezer saw the scene. Of course, he knew clearly that Evelin was doing it on purpose.
Evelin wanted to say something, but she saw the guests around her and didn't say it.
I put on my lipstick and smiled gently.
Evelin was pulled outside by Eliezer. I followed them to the second floor of the ballroom, looking down.
By now, the guests had already arrived.
The ballroom was buzzing.
Everyone was guessing why Silver Fang was hosting a party tonight.
A noise suddenly came from the entrance. Everyone looked over and was shocked.
"Look, that's Royal Pack's car! Oh my God, why are they here too?"
"What the hell is Silver Fang up to? Raphael is here too! Holy crap..."
"Raphael rarely attends parties. He must have come because of something really big."
I frowned slightly.
Amidst all the chatter, Raphael slowly walked into the hall.
Today, he was wearing a black suit, and his eyes were stern. All the guests made a way for him.
I frowned as I saw Raphael and Royce walk in.
Everyone bowed slightly and showed respect to Raphael.
However, they were standing not far from me, so I could hear what they were saying.
"Raphael, you really should smile more. Will any woman really have the courage to come near us?" Royce couldn't help but complain.
Raphael looked at him coldly. "Didn't you force me to come here?"
Royce rolled his eyes and said, "Come on! You said that the woman we met yesterday seemed to live here, so you agreed to come over. But Raphael, are you sure she lives here? I haven't heard of such a woman in Silver Fang."
As soon as Raphael appeared in the hall, he attracted everyone's attention. Lycan King's charisma was unique. Everyone had to surrender to him.
Many women tried to go over to him, but he seemed distant and aloof from them, so they hesitated and did not go forward.
A light shone on the stairs.
I knew it was time for me to make my debut.
Eliezer and I walked down the stairs.
Everyone fell silent and stared at me. I took a deep breath, looked at them, and smiled confidently.
