His Hybrid Mate

Chapter 190

Ch. 190 / 264 Apr 07, 2026

After leaving the villa, Annette found that Connor had come with two cars, which were filled with pack guards.

Connor took her into his car.

Annette looked at him with a smile.

Connor snorted coldly. "Why didn't you let me hit him just now? Do you feel sorry for him?"

"I'm hungry. I mean it." Annette covered her belly and said pitifully, "I even dreamed about food just now."

Connor frowned and asked, "That bastard brought you here, but didn't he give you anything to eat?"

"We just arrived not long ago. Because the conversation was not pleasant, I went upstairs and locked myself in the room."

Then, she said with some admiration, "You are so awesome."

"Let me tell you a secret."

  Annette asked curiously, "What secret?"

Connor leaned close to her ear and said in a low voice that only they could hear, "I relied on something on you to find you."

At that moment, their faces were less than five centimeters apart.

Connor smelled the fragrance on Annette's body and kissed her lips.

Annette leaned her head back slightly and pinched his arm secretly.

Connor laughed. "Guess what it is."

Annette looked down at her body.

Connor said, "I'll give you a hint. It's an accessory."

Annette saw the chain on her phone and asked, "This?"

Connor nodded. "There is a positioning chip inside."

Annette was flabbergasted. "Why did you install such a thing in it?"

Connor said with a smirk, "Well, just in case you went missing."

Annette was speechless. This way, she had no privacy at all.

If she wanted to escape one day, wouldn't she be caught and brought back immediately?

Connor looked at her smiling face and asked with concern, "He didn't hurt you just now, did he?"

Annette shook her head. "No. He followed Lance's order and took me there."

  "What do they mean?"

"What do you think?" Annette said in a low voice, "Why did you say those words in front of the reporters today?"

  "To clear the rumors."

Annette sighed, "Didn't we agree to keep our marriage a secret?"

"I told the reporters about it."

"But you know that Lucas doesn't..."

Connor said coldly, "As long as I feel happy about my marriage, it's enough."

Annette glanced at him and decided to remain silent.

She took out her phone and turned it on.

There were missed calls, and some were from Connor.

  Some were from Sara.

  Annette dialed Sara's number.

Sara picked up the phone quickly and asked, "Annette, are you alright?"

Annette smiled, "Sara, sorry to make you worry about me. I'm fine. Don't worry."

"Why would the president of the Fisher Group take you away?"

"It's complicated. Anyway, I'm fine now."

"You didn't watch the news tonight, did you?"

"News?" Annette was puzzled and turned to look at Connor. She asked Sara, "What news? I haven't had the chance to watch it yet."

"You'd better read it yourself. I can't describe it with words."

"Okay." Annette hung up the phone and began to read the news on her phone.

When she saw the content of the news, she was completely stunned.

She had suddenly become a celebrity in the headlines.

The scene of her being taken away by Austin tonight was photographed by many reporters, and they all said that Connor's wife was cheating.

  "Oh my goodness!"

Hearing Annette's voice, Connor glanced at her phone screen.

When he saw the scene on the news, his expression turned gloomy.

  Then, he contacted Hari.

"Before dawn, I don't want to see any news about Annette. Get rid of it immediately."

  "OK, Alpha Connor."

Annette turned to Connor and asked uneasily, "Did I cause you trouble again?"

Connor glared at her and said, "Stay away from other men in the future."

"You accepted the interview without discussing it with me. If you didn't tell the reporters about your secret marriage, there wouldn't be such news, okay?"

Connor asked, "So it is still my fault?"

Annette looked out of the window guiltily and decided to shirk her responsibility.

In fact, she knew well about the situation in her heart. Even if the news was removed, it would be useless.

Others did not know her relationship with Austin, so, in their eyes, she was a bad woman.

Connor raised his hand and rubbed her head. "Stay away from Austin from now on."

Annette didn't know what to say. "I got it."

"You stayed with Austin for so long. Did anything happen?"

Annette said with a serious face, "What do you think?"

Connor couldn't be bothered to argue with her.

  After all, Annette was stupid.

He reached out and pulled her into his arms, pressing her head against his shoulder.

"I won't argue with you. Whatever you say is right. Sleep for a while. I'll wake you up when we get home."

Annette looked up and was about to say something when Connor lowered his head and kissed her lips.

"From now on, other than sleeping, don't say anything else. Be good."

Annette blushed. She closed her eyes and began to sleep.

She was a little sleepy and soon fell asleep.

When they returned to the villa of the Blood Moon Pack in Akron, it was past eleven o'clock at night.

Connor woke Annette up and ate something with her. After that, they returned to the bedroom and fell asleep in each other's arms.

The next morning, the alarm rang, and Annette woke up on time.

Connor was not on the bed. Annette went downstairs to have breakfast alone and was about to go to school.

However, when she reached the entrance, Dwayne stopped her.

"Luna, Alpha Connor said you would take a day off. He told you to rest at home for a few days and not to go to work."

Annette thought that it must be messy outside, so she went upstairs and went back to her room.

As soon as she entered the room, her phone rang.

It was a call from Roxanne. Annette sat by the bed and picked up the phone. "Roxanne."

"That's too much. I know about your marriage from the news! Why didn't you tell me about it?"

Annette said guiltily, "I planned to tell you in person."

"I feel hurt anyway. Let me ask you, when did you get married?"

Annette said honestly, "It's only been a few days."

"You did not want to get married before. What made you change your mind?"

  Annette said hesitantly, "I'm pregnant."

"What?" Roxanne's loud voice almost pierced through the phone.

"Roxanne, don't laugh at me. I have a headache right now."

"Is it because of the rumors between you and Austin?"

Annette said, "I haven't thought of any good ideas to solve it yet."

"Haven't you ever thought of revealing your identity?"

Annette shook her head firmly. "I never thought about it. Roxanne, I hate being labeled as Lance's daughter. He is not worthy of being my father. I don't want anyone to know about it."

"I'm afraid the rumors won't be settled so easily. You need to be prepared."

Annette nodded. "I know. I've thought it through. Even if I get scolded, I will accept it."

They chatted for a long time before hanging up the phone.
