The man in front of her wore a blue duckbill cap and a black mask covering his face, revealing only a pair of eyes.
As soon as the man dragged her behind the big tree, he sneakily looked around, as if afraid of being discovered.
Alessia remained composed, observing the man in front of her.
She had planned to leave the event venue and figure out how to shake off Dominic before finding Dylan Frost. But unexpectedly, before she could even find him, he showed up.
At this moment, it seemed that Dylan had finally finished observing the situation.
After he let out a long sigh, he removed the mask from his face and spoke with lingering fear.
"Sis, how did you provoke Dominic? He has arranged people at both the main gate and the back gate, waiting for you to fall into his trap. Luckily, I found you beforehand."
Alessia wasn't surprised by Dominic's actions; they were within her expectations. Instead, Dylan's familiar attitude towards her reminded her of Hannah.
Alessia's gaze darkened.
"Why are you looking at me like that, Sis?"
Dylan, noticing Alessia's constant gaze, touched his own face and then magically took out two lollipops from his pocket.
He revealed his two canine teeth and said, "Sis, I just bought these from outside, they're your favorite orange-flavored ones."
Alessia looked at the two lollipops wrapped in orange candy in Dylan's hand and thought of the lollipops Hannah used to give her.
She blinked and looked back at Dylan.
Dylan's eyes were sincere.
No one would have expected that the irritable man who had been disturbed in his sleep at the venue just now would now resemble a loyal and pure-hearted dog.
Alessia took one of the lollipops from his palm.
Dylan then, somewhat foolishly, revealed his two canine teeth again, removed the candy coating from the remaining lollipop, and put it in his mouth.
He said carelessly, "Sis, you said you wanted to leave for a while, but I didn't expect you to be gone for so many years. When I saw you at the venue just now, I was almost excited to rush over, but luckily, I held back at the crucial moment."
"At least I didn't forget your advice to keep a distance in public places. Even if I'm not wearing a mask, I doubt anyone would take pictures."
At the end of his speech, Dylan became melancholic again.
Alessia played with the lollipop in her hand, looking at Dylan's face.
This man in front of her didn't need her to coax him; he revealed his true colors without hesitation.
Was it genuine trust in her, or just to gain her trust?
Alessia squinted her eyes and asked calmly, "How did you end up here?"
"Sis, are you asking why I'm here now or why I participated in this charity event?" Dylan reached out to adjust his cap and entangled himself further in his explanation.
Alessia frowned.
But Dylan quickly caught on and chuckled.
"Hehe, Sis, I know what you're asking. This charity event was arranged by my agent last week, and with Sisca Fraser here, I really didn't want to come. But fortunately, I did come, otherwise, I wouldn't have seen you."
"Sis, Sisca's debut song 'Dark Walker' was copied from you, right? I saw your unfinished draft back then, and she still denies it. At that time, I couldn't reach you, otherwise, I would have kicked her out of the entertainment industry."
Dylan rambled on, showing his dislike for Sisca.
Alessia remained silent for a moment, listening to his words, which at least proved that his appearance was different from Hannah's.
But without Z, Alessia remained skeptical about whether Dylan was a friend or foe!
Alessia didn't respond but instead glanced around and asked, "Do you have a way to get me out of here?"
"Of course." Dylan looked confident. He put on his mask again, glanced around, and seeing that no one noticed them, gestured for her to follow him.
Alessia followed Dylan as they made their way to his temporary resting room.
By now, the event was nearing its end.
At the event venue, Sisca smiled as she left her seat, but her expression changed as soon as she turned around.
"Has the identity of that woman been found out?"
Sisca walked forward with a worried expression, asking her assistant beside her.
The assistant shook her head. "The event planners only know her last name is La Rosa, they don't have any specific information."
"Don't know? What if Dominic follows that woman?" Sisca gritted her teeth in frustration.
She felt threatened whenever she thought of the beautiful woman's face.
Even when she knew Dominic had a wife, she had never been so worried.
"Miss Fraser, look."
Just as Sisca was about to explode, her assistant excitedly called her.
What else could be worth getting so excited over besides that woman?
Feeling irritated, Sisca was about to scold her when she looked up and caught sight of a woman wearing a white short-sleeved shirt and jeans, emitting a cold aura, following behind Dylan into Room 3.
"Phone."
As soon as she spoke, her assistant handed her the phone.
Sisca finally managed to take a photo of Alessia before she entered the rest room.
Alessia, with one foot at the entrance of the resting room, stopped abruptly, sensing something amiss.
"What's wrong?" Dylan noticed her unusual behavior and turned back.
"You go in first." Alessia spoke lightly and turned away.
Sisca slid her phone, satisfied with the clear pictures on the screen.
Dylan was arrogant and annoying, and now that she had these photos, she could punish him and put an end to any possibility between that woman and Dominic.
After all, Dominic was always domineering and would never allow his woman to have any involvement with other men.
Sisca had a good plan. It was a pity that she hadn't taken action yet when her phone was snatched away.
She looked up in annoyance, only to see the woman who had just entered the rest room standing in front of her, coldly holding her phone and operating it.
Sisca instinctively reached out to snatch back her phone.
The woman gave her a cold glance and said in an icy tone, "Without permission, taking photos of others privately violates their portrait rights. I have the right to sue you. The photos have been deleted, but I reserve the right to pursue legal action!"
After deleting the photos and formatting the disk, Alessia threw the phone back to Sisca and then turned to walk towards the rest room.
Sisca could send her secret messages five years ago, indicating that this woman had some scheming.
She wouldn't be foolish enough to reveal her whereabouts to Dominic.
Sisca stared at Alessia's back and angrily pressed the formatted phone, her anger boiling up.
For so many years, relying on the rumors with Dominic, she had never been treated so rudely by anyone.
Sisca took two or three steps forward, blocking Alessia's way, and spoke in a pretended tone.
"Miss La Rosa, you may not know, but a man is like a kite in one's hand. He may be fascinated by the scenery outside for a while, but when he's tired, he will come back sooner or later."
Alessia raised an eyebrow.
Seeing that she remained indifferent, Sisca's tone changed again.
"Miss La Rosa, I know what you're thinking, but I still advise you to give up. Dominic may not fall for a widow like you. Besides, Dominic's heart has always belonged to me. He divorced his ex-wife for me."
Alessia frowned slightly and spoke lightly, "Are you done?"
Sisca was taken aback.
Seeing that she didn't speak again, Alessia ignored her and left.
Sisca was even more surprised. Shouldn't anyone be angry or embarrassed after hearing her words, or flee in embarrassment?
She must be forcing herself to smile.
Sisca gritted her teeth in resentment and vowed to make her pay next time.
When Alessia came out of the rest room, she had changed her outfit.
She wore a casual apricot-colored dress, a matching duckbill cap on her head, a black mask covering her face, a handbag in her left hand, and a hot water cup in her right. Walking beside Dylan, she looked like his assistant.
They walked all the way to the gate of the welfare institute, where Alessia saw David making a call and furrowed her brows.
Here, the security personnel were also on high alert.
Dylan had also changed his outfit.
He wore a silver-gray suit and arrogantly took off his sunglasses, impatiently looking at the two security guards blocking his way. He said irritably, "What's wrong, has the welfare institute been robbed?"
After all, Dylan had been famous for so many years, and the two security guards immediately recognized him.
They exchanged glances and before they could speak, Dylan continued, "What, do you want to check my luggage? Sissy, bring the stuff over and let them check carefully."
Alessia furrowed her brows and was about to open her bag.
Seeing this, the two security guards broke out in a cold sweat on their foreheads.
"They were just working here; how could they dare to offend a popstar legend? Besides, they were looking for a person, not things."
The two immediately smiled apologetically and let them pass.
"Mr. Frost, there's no robbery, no need to check your luggage. Mr. Frost, please go ahead!"
Dylan snorted, put on his sunglasses, and Alessia followed behind him. They both got into the nanny car parked on the side of the road.
Dylan sat in the front passenger seat, looked at the welfare institute's gate gradually disappearing through the rearview mirror, and then turned around to look at Alessia with a pleasing smile.
"Sis, where are we going now? I know a place that serves excellent private dishes. Shall we go there now?"
Alessia took off her hat and mask, glanced at him faintly, and nodded.
There was no news from Z yet. Regardless of whether Dylan was Z or not, she could use him to learn about her past.
