"Pact?"
Christopher stared carefully at Christian's thumb. He hesitated for a moment before slowly extending his own thumb.
As soon as Christopher's thumb was extended, Christian imprinted her own thumb on it.
"Alright, the ceremony is complete. We are allies now," Christian said excitedly.
Christopher paused, his face expressionless, but he secretly wrapped the thumb that had touched Christian's in his palm.
Suddenly, Christian remembered something and added, "Oh, by the way, we can't let our sister know about our alliance for now. She is a faithful supporter of mommy. If she finds out, it's as good as mommy finding out!"
"Sister?" Christopher raised his head, a hint of curiosity flashing across his cool little face.
Christian realized he had forgotten to introduce Eleanor.
Christian led Christopher into the pavilion, climbed onto a chair, and nodded.
"Yeah, mom gave birth to triplets. Our sister's name is Eleanor, her nickname is Elle. My nickname is Chris."
Christopher's nose tingled, hiding his emotions, he introduced himself with a poker face, "My nick name is Chris too."
"Oh, bro, this is fate! Mommy and daddy are so in sync! They're really meant for each other!" Christian's eyes, like black grapes, were full of surprise, skillfully searching for the technique of sneaking sweets.
Leaning on the table, he supported his chubby little face with both hands, and asked curiously, "Bro, is our daddy handsome?"
"Very handsome." Christopher carefully recalled before nodding seriously.
"Does he look like us?" Christian blinked his big eyes, shuffled closer to Christopher, even more curious.
After all, that was the daddy he had longed for, how could he not be curious?
Christopher's gaze swept over Christian's eyes, nose, and mouth, and then nodded again, "Yes, he does!"
"Really? How much alike, is it like a copy-paste?"
The poor child who had never seen his daddy was excited.
Christian imagined his daddy's appearance in his mind and suddenly suggested, "Bro, let's play a game of exchange. Tonight, I'll go to daddy's house!"
Christopher's eyes lit up, then nodded. He also wanted to be close to mommy.
The two little ones exchanged clothes in the pavilion before leaving the small garden together. When they reached the intersection, they parted ways tacitly and entered each other's house.
Alessia sat on the sofa, staring at the newly replaced phone.
It had been twenty-four hours since she met with Hannah, there should be new emails coming in soon.
Since the person behind the scenes was retaliating against her, they would surely come to check the results.
Sure enough, after a while, the phone buzzed, indicating a new email had arrived.
Alessia opened her mailbox.
[Miss La Rosa, how does it feel to meet an old acquaintance?]
[Not bad!] Alessia replied with narrowed eyes.
[I heard you lost your memory. I wonder how much you remember about the past!]
A coldness flashed in Alessia's eyes. The phrase 'I heard' carried deep meaning.
Moreover, compared to the previous emails, this one was less cynical and more probing.
Alessia's slender fingers tapped on the phone screen. [Want to know? Meet me in person, and I'll tell you in person.]
[Alright, tomorrow at the Happiness Home Welfare Institute, don't be late. By the way, you can call me Z.]
Alessia pursed her lips. She proposed the meeting herself just to fish for information.
The fact that the other party agreed so easily indicated they were very concerned about her amnesia.
However, through the analysis of Z's behavior, it could be seen that this person had an eccentric personality. Whether he would show up in person tomorrow was still unknown.
Nevertheless, any action by Z was a good thing for her. She believed she could always find a flaw and turn the tables.
Alessia put down her phone, picked up the idle laptop, and typed 'Happiness Home' on the keyboard.
As the search page changed, warm-style buildings appeared on the computer screen, accompanied by various introductions.
Happiness Home was the largest welfare institution in the city.
Initially, this welfare institution was just a tiny courtyard. Seventeen years ago, someone sponsored its expansion, leading to its current scale.
The data even showed that the Carter family had been sponsoring Happiness Home for the past five years, and tomorrow a charity auction hosted by the Carter family would be held there.
The president of the Carter Group and various charitable figures from the business community would attend. There would also be celebrities participating in the auction performance.
After reading the introduction on the webpage, Alessia frowned.
If she went to the welfare institution tomorrow, she might run into Dominic.
But she had to go for her son sake.
Alessia closed the laptop, a cold gleam flickering on her pale face.
Every time Z sent an email, it seemed to involve Dominic, or there was another meaning behind it...
Alessia analyzed, suddenly hearing the sound of the door lock opening.
She looked up and saw a small figure walking in from outside.
At the door stood her usually lively and mischievous son, his pitch-black eyes looking at her pitifully, his small eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
When did this little guy sneak out?
With a stern face and silent demeanor, he looked exactly like that despicable Dominic.
Alessia rubbed her forehead and waved at Christopher.
Christopher's eyes flickered, and he finally started to walk over with his little legs.
Alessia watched her son awkwardly approaching, with a hint of grievance and confusion on his face, looking utterly puzzled.
"What's wrong? Upset?" Alessia lifted Christopher onto her lap and kissed his forehead.
Christopher's small ears turned red uncontrollably; it was the first time mommy had kissed him.
For some reason, the slight discomfort he felt when he entered disappeared at this moment.
Christopher tilted his tender white face upwards, carefully grasped Alessia's clothes, and with a tender, childish voice tinged with a hint of grievance, he said, "Mommy, I miss you!"
Alessia frowned. Her son had never spoken in such a plaintive tone before, indicating that the conflict with his new friend was quite significant.
However, she always believed that children should solve their own problems.
Alessia didn't inquire further but gently stroked Christopher's head and responded softly, "Mommy has always been here."
"Mommy, Chris, what are you doing? I also want a hug." At that moment, a sweet voice chimed in.
Alessia looked up to see her daughter wearing pink cartoon pajamas, holding a comic book in her hands, appearing at the top of the stairs, trotting towards them cheerfully.
"Slow down!" Alessia reminded as she freed up one hand.
Eleanor rushed over like a fluffy little chick, flapping her wings.
In Alessia's arms, Eleanor met Christopher's gaze.
Eleanor gently held Christopher's hand with her soft little hand, revealing her fine white teeth as she asked in a soft and tender voice, "Chris, did you just meet the little guy from across the street?"
The little guy from across the street?
Alessia glanced at her son in her arms.
Christopher's heart tightened.
Then, he saw mommy putting him and his sister down.
Christopher lowered his head, unwilling to lie to mommy. Just as he hesitated, he heard his sister's sweet and obedient voice again.
"Chris, next time you meet the little guy from across the street, you can't leave me behind, okay?"
"Oh, Chris, do you think this dress set is beautiful? We have a similar set in our closet. Let's wear them together tomorrow!"
Eleanor lifted the comic book in her hand and pointed to the cartoon girl wearing a dress on it.
Christopher looked at the cute girl in the cartoon, wearing a pink rainbow chiffon dress, thinking he misheard, and asked with difficulty, "Do I have to wear a dress too?"
"Chris, is there a problem?" Eleanor blinked her innocent big eyes, very understanding. "Don't you want to wear pink anymore? Alright, then we'll wear the blue set together."
