"Mom, I'm sorry, I seem to have messed up your gathering," Christian apologized with his head down as they left the Ramirez family's gate.
Alessia looked at her dramatic son and said, "Then how do you plan to compensate me?"
"Huh?" The little guy lifted his head nervously at once, his face showing no hint of apology.
Alessia tapped his little nose, "Alright, I didn't blame you. You did well tonight. It's me who didn't do well, shouldn't have brought you to such an occasion."
"Mommy is always right." Eleanor, who had not spoken until now, raised her head and said without principle.
Alessia softened, deciding never to bring her two children to the Ramirez family again. She didn't want them to suffer because of her.
The next day, Ava made several calls to invite her to go shopping, but when she arrived at the destination, she didn't see Ava, but instead, Nolan.
Alessia frowned.
"Don't look at me like that. Auntie insisted I come," Nolan took off his sunglasses, yawned, and looked disdainfully at Alessia's white T-shirt and jeans, "You dressed like a beggar, you're embarrassing the Ramirez family."
After Nolan finished speaking, he put on his sunglasses again and walked away.
Alessia squinted her eyes, didn't follow, but walked in the opposite direction. Just then, her phone rang.
Alessia pressed the answer button, and Ava's voice came through.
"Sia, I'm sorry, I have to go to the hospital suddenly and can't make it. Just let Nolan accompany you. Buy whatever you like, don't be polite with me."
"No need," Alessia refused.
"Sia, what's wrong? Are you upset? I really didn't mean it. Don't be mad at me," Ava pleaded meekly.
Ava's tone made Alessia very uncomfortable. She flashed a hint of impatience in her eyes. Just as she was about to speak again, a hand suddenly reached out, aiming for her phone.
Alessia's gaze flashed with a hint of sharpness. She had originally wanted to take action, but after some thought, she let go.
She didn't want to pay attention to Nolan, but since he kept coming up to her, she wanted to see what mischief he was up to this time.
Nolan took her phone and arrogantly hung up the call, looking at her impatiently, "What are you dawdling for? Let's go, I'll return the phone to you after we finish shopping for clothes."
Alessia's eyes flickered, and she followed along.
Nolan walked ahead and went straight to the seventh floor, entering a luxury store.
He went to the brand clothing area of LR Studio and randomly picked out a few pieces of clothes, stuffing them into Alessia's arms, and said to the saleswoman next to him, "Take her to try on these clothes."
The saleswoman looked at Alessia.
Alessia glanced at Nolan.
Nolan felt inexplicably guilty under Alessia's gaze, but then he found it ridiculous. Why should he be afraid of a divorced woman from the countryside, just because she's a bit stronger and quicker to act?
Last time at the hospital, he was caught off guard. But today, he was prepared.
He mocked, "What's wrong? Can't even change clothes in a high-end clothing store?"
Originally, the saleswoman didn't want to serve Alessia when she walked into the store wearing a T-shirt and jeans. She only followed along because of Nolan.
At this moment, hearing Nolan's words, she couldn't understand the relationship between Alessia and Nolan, and couldn't help showing disdain.
This is someone trying to hitch a ride on a rich man, but being looked down upon by the rich man!
Alessia gave Nolan a look of disdain and finally went to the fitting room.
Nolan watched Alessia enter the fitting room, feeling pleased with himself. He then turned around and had another saleswoman pack up the most expensive clothes in the store to take away.
"Sir, you haven't paid yet," the saleswoman handed the bag to Nolan, politely reminding him.
"She'll pay," Nolan pointed at Alessia, who had just come out of the fitting room.
Alessia had changed into a long green dress, made of chiffon, extending to her ankles.
This kind of dark-colored clothing accentuated her skin, and the long length accentuated her height. However, Alessia perfectly controlled it, especially with her inherent cold temperament. At that moment, she looked like a fairy descending to earth.
Nolan was stunned for a moment, almost unable to move his feet.
He knew this woman was beautiful, but he didn't expect her to be this beautiful.
But since she had offended him time and time again, and he had promised to vent his anger for Sisca, Nolan sighed with regret at the thought of the beauty who would be left without a phone and money and would be embarrassed here, and then be taken to the police station.
Nolan turned around and took out some money, handing it to the saleswoman, "Here you go."
With that, Nolan took the bag and left.
The saleswoman took the stack of money, her eyes flickering.
She recognized this man as Nolan Ramirez, the number one playboy in Toronto. He must be trying to teach this woman a lesson!
Thinking like this, the saleswoman looked towards Alessia, and when she saw Alessia's beautiful face, a hint of jealousy flashed across her face.
Since she wanted to latch onto a rich man, she should be prepared to be played by the rich man.
The saleswoman put away the money and walked towards Alessia.
On the other side, Nolan left the luxury store, made a phone call, and said solicitously, "Sisca, everything is ready. You can go watch the show now. Oh, and make sure the video is clear. Send it to me later."
With that, Nolan hung up the phone, put on his sunglasses, and left the mall.
In the store,
Alessia finally settled on a small apricot-colored dress with star diamonds.
This dress had a cute yet slightly sexy design, with a fitted V-neck top and a short, fluffy skirt.
The dress showcased Alessia's perfect figure, especially her long and slender legs, which were fair and smooth.
The other men in the store who were accompanying their girlfriends couldn't help but glance over.
The saleswoman who had received Nolan's money flashed a look of amazement in her eyes, which was quickly filled with jealousy.
No matter how beautiful she was, she was just a plaything of the rich man!
With a smile on her face, she approached Alessia politely.
"Miss, this dress suits you so well. The ones you just tried on were also good. Would you like all of them packed?"
Alessia had tried on several dresses and was already impatient. She usually only cared about comfort when it came to clothes, but since she had already tried them on, she felt obligated to buy at least one.
The apricot dress she was wearing now was one she particularly liked when she designed it. Now it seemed to suit Bianca's style, so she could buy it and give it to her.
Alessia glanced at herself in the mirror and said, "Just this one."
"Alright, Miss," the saleswoman's eyes flashed with a hint of schadenfreude as she said, "The two dresses together will be one thousand and twenty-five hundred."
Alessia narrowed her eyes. "Two dresses?"
The saleswoman cleared her throat and deliberately raised her voice, saying, "That's right. The one you're wearing, plus the one that gentleman took away, is already the biggest discount our store can offer. Would you like to pay by card?"
As the saleswoman spoke loudly, she attracted the attention of all the other customers in the store.
At this moment, Alessia became the absolute center of attention.
Nolan had taken away a dress.
Alessia raised her almond-shaped eyes, sneered, and understood Nolan's intention in taking her phone.
Seeing that Alessia didn't speak, the saleswoman's disdainful expression flashed past, and she continued to ask in a considerate tone.
"Have you made up your mind, Miss? If you think it's expensive, you can choose not to take the dress you're wearing. Just pay for the latest polka-dot dress from LR Studio, which is only 9900. It's not expensive."
With this remark, the speculative glances of the onlookers in the store became more meaningful.
They had almost been fooled by this woman's appearance. She was so beautiful, but it turned out she was just here to pretend to be rich.
Alessia didn't care about the speculative gazes. She coldly said, "I don't have my phone with me..."
However, before she could finish her sentence, the saleswoman couldn't wait to interrupt her.
"Miss, you don't have the money to pay, right? If that's the case, and since the clothes have already been taken, what you're doing amounts to theft, and we'll have to call the police."
