Bianca pouted, "So, you want to use and discard me? Too bad, I've changed my mind, I don't want to leave now."
This fits Miss Bianca's character very well, Alessia raised an eyebrow and glanced at Riley.
Riley's gentle expression froze for a moment, the lake-like eyes also showed some changes in expression, but he quickly returned to normal, his voice still gentle, "As long as it doesn't delay your time."
Some people are gentle on the surface, some are gentle at heart.
Alessia felt that Riley belonged to the latter category; perhaps gentleness was just his protective color.
Such people, few could penetrate their hearts, but once someone did, they would be completely open.
Some people may seem willful and capricious, perhaps this is also their protective color.
"You're indeed very boring. Who wants to stay here anyway?"
Bianca looked disdainful, as if she had finally had enough. As she spoke, she proudly turned her head, "Alright, I'll leave the patient to you now. This lady is too lazy to stay here any longer."
But when Bianca's gaze finally landed on Alessia, her expression froze.
She never expected that the family member the old man referred to would be the sister-in-law she had just acknowledged.
Bianca's expression changed, without asking Alessia, she quickly turned back and questioned Riley with a protective tone, "Old man, who do you consider as your family?"
"Bianca, you can go if you have something to do."
This was a hospital room, and Alessia was starting to get a headache from all the commotion.
However, as soon as she spoke, Bianca suddenly turned back, her attitude doing a complete 180-degree turn.
"No, I can't leave if I have something to do. I hit this person, I must take responsibility to the end. How can I shamelessly shirk responsibility?"
She didn't know her sister-in-law had gained another family member. This old man must have some evil intentions towards her sister-in-law, and she had to help her brother keep an eye on her sister-in-law!
After Bianca finished speaking, she looked at Riley again, solemnly declaring, "Uncle, you can rest assured, I will take responsibility for you to the end."
Riley's expression stiffened slightly. A young girl shouting and insisting on taking responsibility for him sounded somewhat suggestive.
Especially the expression of the nurse who had just come in to deliver the medicine, when she looked at him, it carried a hint of ambiguity.
Riley refused, "No need."
"You can't refuse." Bianca was defiant, "No one can stop me from being a responsible person. You just lie down, I'll go get hot water for you right now."
With that, Bianca walked over and picked up the hot water kettle placed by the bedside.
Unfortunately, Miss Carter was wearing high heels, walking hastily, and holding the hot water kettle. She hadn't taken two steps before stumbling. It was evident that she wasn't very skilled at these tasks.
Riley rarely furrowed his brows, cracks appeared in his gentle facade.
Alessia breathed a sigh of relief and, somewhat helplessly, took the hot water kettle from Bianca's hand and left the room.
As soon as Bianca saw Alessia leave, she quickly returned to the bedside, changing her attitude from just now. With her hands on her hips, she looked down at Riley who had revealed his cards.
"I'm warning you, don't you dare have bad intention on my sister-in-law!"
"Your sister-in-law?"
"Yes." Bianca looked proud, exaggerating, "The family member you mentioned, is my sister-in-law. She has given birth to three children for my brother. If anyone dares to mess with her, thunder will strike them. I advise you to accumulate some virtue."
With that, Bianca made a chopping motion with one hand towards Riley.
Riley turned his eyes away, indifferent to Bianca's threat, but his expression became solemn.
Sia would never be the kind of person to act recklessly for love. What had she experienced during her years of amnesia to have three children in a row?
"Who is your brother?" Riley finally asked.
"You really want to know?" Bianca countered.
With the question, she clearly saw curiosity in the man's eyes, which satisfied her.
Bianca smirked, "You want to know, but I won't tell you!"
Riley's gentle facade once again cracked. He had experienced firsthand just how willful and capricious the woman in front of him could be.
Riley's throat moved, and he simply closed his eyes.
Bianca smirked triumphantly, "Uncle, you're not only lacks physical strength but also has a small mind."
Perhaps any man would mind being told they lack physical strength. Riley suddenly opened his eyes and looked at Bianca's beautiful face. With his clear and gentle voice, he said, "Lack of physical strength? You were the one begging for mercy."
"..."
Orthopedics was on the fifth floor, while the water room was on the third floor. After fetching water, Alessia felt a cold gaze fixed on her.
When Alessia turned around, she saw Sisca wearing patient clothes, standing not far away.
Seeing Alessia looking over, Sisca did not avert her gaze but instead walked over.
Sisca appeared soft and weak, as if there had never been any discord between them. "Miss La Rosa, what a coincidence, I didn't expect to meet you again."
Alessia glanced at Sisca, then casually withdrew her gaze and continued walking upstairs.
She really couldn't muster any interest in watching Sisca's performance.
Sisca clenched her hands tightly at her side in frustration. Alessia ignored her greeting. Why should she?
Out of anger, Sisca's eyes turned crimson, reminiscent of the incidents that happened when she first came to Toronto to study.
Because she had no background and grew up in the countryside, everyone looked down on her, treating her as inferior.
Finally, no one looked at her with disdain like that anymore, but now she felt that contempt from Alessia again.
Alessia was also from the countryside. Just because she had a little more talent, what was there to be proud of?
"Alessia." Sisca gritted her teeth and called out.
Alessia stopped and turned around.
But Sisca changed her expression. She smiled and said, "Miss La Rosa, I actually came here to apologize to you. What happened before was my moment of confusion. Dominic has scolded me, and he has arranged everything. Once I leave the hospital, I will publicly apologize to you."
"I see."
Sisca's expression stiffened.
She kept mentioning Dominic, wanting to disgust Alessia deliberately. However, Alessia remained indifferent, replying with just two words.
The tone sounded more like 'Get down on your knees!'
Sisca's expression twisted. Seeing her delicate appearance about to break down, a middle-aged woman came down the stairs.
The woman was wearing a dark green blouse, with medium-length curly hair hanging behind her head. She had an average body size, not fat or thin, but unfortunately, her skin didn't look good, appearing somewhat pale with dark circles under her eyes, even with makeup.
Seeing someone coming, Sisca instinctively softened her demeanor again, looking so frail that it was believable she would fall if the wind blew.
Alessia frowned impatiently. If Sisca put this acting into her work, she might have won an award by now.
Not wanting to waste any more time, she walked upstairs with the hot water kettle. As she passed by the woman, the woman suddenly fell without any warning.
The woman fell down the stairs and collapsed at Sisca's feet.
This time, Sisca was truly frightened. She took several steps back, her face pale, and screamed.
Alessia hurried down and placed the hot water kettle on the ground before approaching to check on the woman.
The woman had injured her forehead, blood smearing her face. She lay on the ground with her eyes closed, as if she had stopped breathing.
Alessia reached out to feel the woman's breath, then wiped the blood off her face and opened her eyelids to check.
"Miss La Rosa, what are you doing?"
Seeing Alessia's actions, Sisca weakly covered her chest with her hands and leaned closer.
"Go call a doctor," Alessia said without lifting her head, giving a stern order.
She laid the woman flat on the ground, folded her hands, raised her right hand with her fingers extended, and skillfully pressed on the woman's chest.
Sisca stood still, watching Alessia's calm movements, her eyes flickering.
Improper CPR could cause rib fractures, and in severe cases, it could puncture the lungs and heart.
The woman lying in front of her was either wealthy or noble. If something went wrong...
Looking around, Sisca didn't go to find a doctor as Alessia instructed. Instead, she approached to stop her.
