The sea breeze carried the scent of salt and nostalgia as Antonio approached the familiar cottage of the fisherman’s home. His heart was once again filled with warmth at the sight of his new family's house in a small town in Mexico. It was a place that had become a refuge during the empty days of his life with no single memory of anything. Years gone. He's still unable to remember anything from his past. However with the help of the kind fisherman Lucas and his wife Gabi in those past years, Antonio was able to move on. He was treated like a son and a part of their family with a totally different identity. After a year of staying with Lucas and his wife. Antonio was helped by a relative of Lucas to secure a job in a certain restaurant in a big city. However, the location was outside Mexico. Where the relative lives. Antonio stayed with this relative in the new city until he was able to afford a small apartment of his own. Since he was far from home. Antonio had to visit his family once every three months and won't stay for more than 2 days due to his work. Lucas and Gabi were always delighted to welcome him each time with a broad smile on their faces and sometimes tears of joy. “I hope they will never get tired of me someday”. Antonio thought sadly knowing he wasn't their biological son. Although they never actually gave him a reason to doubt their care and love for him. However, the fact that he is still unable to remember his past kept bugging him. “You have a nice home”. A voice interrupted him. “Oh…thanks”. Antonio smiled nervously ,gazing at his companion, who stood behind him. A friend, a co-worker. Beautiful Hinata. His Japanese co-worker and the only friend he made after all his years in the new country. Actually she was the one who made the move to befriend him. He was very shy to interact with other workers and could hardly hold a conversation. What a personality switch for Antonio Montero! “I can't wait to meet your parents”. She smiled. Antonio nodded. “They are lovely people”. “You are a living proof”. Hinata replied. Antonio lowered his face,trying to avoid her eye contact. “She is so cute without even trying”. He said to himself. As the two walked up to the entrance, the door swung open, and the fisherman's wife, Gabi appeared in front of them with a hearty laugh and her arms wide open. “Diego! You’ve come back to us! I missed you so much, my love!” She hugged Antonio and pulled his face to her height so she could peck his cheeks. Antonio's back hurt from the whole bend to her height because of the huge height difference but he was happy to see her too. So he can't possibly complain. “Look at how big and handsome you keep getting, you shy giant!” He smiled a bit embarrassed because Hinata was there to see all that. “It’s nice to see you again, mother”. He replied with a warm smile and kissed his mother's forehead. “Look at you, You've gotten even huger, have you been working out. You are already bulky from the beginning. Do you want to be an undertaker?” She snapped with her two hands on her waist. Antonio laughed and scratched the back of his neck embarrassed. “I thought you are working as a waiter or are you into martial arts?” Gabi continued teasing him. “It's just for fitness sake mother,I am not training for anything”. Then Gabi's eyes moved past him, only then did she notice the slender young beautiful woman with dark hair and delicate features. She looked Japanese, beautiful and very curvy. Gabi judged the size of her bust and hips. What a rare one. She looks like a busty anime character with big thighs. “That shy giant is not so naive after all”. She thought and smiled to herself. Hinata stepped forward. She bowed politely in a Japanese gesture. “Hello, Mrs Gabi”. Mrs Gabi was stunned by her politeness despite her beauty for a second then her face lit up in excitement. “A beautiful young bride!” Antonio and Hinata exchanged glances in panic. “No..no mother you had the wrong idea!” Antonio snapped immediately, sweating from nervousness. “Hmmm really?” Mrs Gabi turned and smirked at him with her hands on her hips. “She is just a friend”. Antonio added. “A friend, who is a girl? So she is your girlfriend!” Antonio was shocked at the instant conclusion,he was left speechless. “Seriously!” Hinata laughed elegantly like a princess watching their chaotic interaction. Mrs Gabi noticed. “Are you a Japanese princess?” “Wait what?” Hinata snapped in shock. Suddenly Mr Lucas appeared in the doorway, his weathered face lighting up with a grin. “And who do we have here,a princess?” he asked, his voice a deep rumble that matched the rhythm of the waves, from outside. “His parents are so Nice!” Hinata thought with cheeks flustered from the compliments. “Hello father. This is Hinata,” Antonio introduced. “Hinata, my father,Mr Lucas”. “Your girl huh?” Lucas smirked. “She’s a friend and a coworker from the city. She wanted to travel out of Japan for the first time so she suggested that she would follow me to Mexico…that's all.” Gabi walked to Lucas and nudged her husband with her elbow, a mischievous twinkle in her eye. Mr Lucas understood her very well. They both giggled. He turned to Antonio. “A friend, you say? A beautiful friend, hmm?” Gabi chuckled. “Our Diego brought home a beautiful lady, who is just a friend of course”. She said sarcastically with an eye roll. “But we are really friends!” Antonio said innocently in frustration. Convincing them will never be easy. Why isn't Hinata helping him out? She seems to be enjoying this very much. Antonio thought. Gabi turned to Hinata with a welcoming smile. “You’re most welcome here, dear. But tell me, are you two…?” Antonio raised his hands, a flush creeping up his neck. “I told you it's not like that, mother!We’re just friends, truly.” “Shhhh! I want to hear from the young lady,Diego!” She snapped at him with a frown then turned to Hinata with a soft smile. “Are you two in love?” She asked again. Hinata’s face flushed. “We..are really just friends ma'am”. “Hmmmm.” Gabi was disappointed, how can she say that with her face that red with blush. Mr Lucas chuckled loudly while taking a seat. “Ah, but you know how these things start. Friendship can be the first step to something more. I and my white wife Gabi, started first as just friends”. Gabi completed the last word with him and the two laughed. “I guess it's like a family tradition”. Gabi chuckled. “Mother, you are not helping! You are making Hinata feel uncomfortable with the projections” Antonio snapped. “Oh please…Hinata are you uncomfortable dear?” Mrs Gabi asked. The three turned their gaze to her. Hinata blushed slightly but maintained her composure. “Diego-san is a very kind person. I won't mind if there will be something more.” Antonio's heart raced. He never expected her to say something like that. “I…I think I need to use the bathroom, I will be right back”. He said immediately and vanished. “Such a childish mind for that giant body,he is so innocent like a child”. Gabi chuckled then she walked towards the kitchen. “I’ll set an extra plate for dinner. Whether she is just friends or more, we’re glad to have you both h ere. Maybe I will have a grandchild soon!” She shouted after Antonio. Hinata was left alone with Lucas. He was staring at her like a police inspector. Suddenly he spoke to her. “You like him don't you?” Hinata's heart skipped a beat.
