Antonio’s eyes widened sharply, and he walked closer to Courtney. “You know who this Lord Damon is?” He asked impatiently. Courtney rolled her eyes. “Well yeah, and he is not Lord of anybody, he is just….” Antonio interrupted, not letting her finish. “Then you must take me to him right now!” His hands clenched as if trying to grasp something just unreachable. “He is in the Montero's Mansion”. She said dryly. "Okay ". Antonio replied. “What happened to? I don't want to associate with anything Montero anymore?” She raised a brow and folded her hands. “Well, someone is in danger and that person means so much to me, okay. I had to go…”. Courtney sighed deeply, shaking her head as she placed a hand on his shoulder, trying to calm him down. “Antonio, you don’t understand, going back there now is dangerous. Damon is the one behind your grandma death, your memory loss, everything. It’s like walking right in to a trap. He won't hesitate to eliminate you once and for all, so that Montero's world will be his.” “I don’t care about the Montero's world or any of that,” Antonio shot back, his frustration boiling over. “I just want Hinata. She’s in danger because of me.” Courtney's brows furrowed, annoyed at his stubbornness. “That’s undoubtedly what Damon wants you to think, Antonio. He’s playing you. Going to back now, is like walking straight into his hands. It’s what he wants.” Antonio shook his head, taking a step back, his face tight with anger. “Hinata’s out there, scared and being manhandled against her wish, and you’re telling me to wait? I don’t care about anything else. I don’t care about my past or the Monteros, none of that matters. All I care about is making sure she’s safe.” Courtney exhaled, crossing her arms as she searched his face. “You really don’t remember anything about the Monteros, do you?” “I don’t need to remember,” Antonio snapped, his eyes filled with frustration. Done with this Montero shit. His life was perfectly peaceful, and now this chaos! “I won’t let her get hurt because of my past…” He replied anxiously, his anxiety skyrocketing. Courtney saw him ran his hand through his hair in frustration, roaming around the room restless. Seeing him like this was painful, she couldn't ignore him”. Her expression softened, though her eyes remained serious. She dropped her folded hands and walked towards him. “Antonio, listen to me…” “No, you listen to me, Courtney..… No matter what you say, I won't let them hurt her…you have to help me go back”. Courtney's face clouded with anger. She sat down and crosses her legs. Antonio was confused at that reaction but most impatient. “What?” He asked her. “I lost my Cousin, my only cousin for Five years and I finally found him you want me to help you and kill him, Diego? Is that what you are asking me to do? You have nothing to go against Damon. Damon is not just a man. He is a mafia…he is a leader to many dangerous groups, and you are going to face him single-handedly? Don't make me laugh, lover boy.” Antonio felt his legs weak. He knew she was making a very valid point, but what…what can he do? He dropped on a chair, his breathing heavy, his mind swirling with everything Courtney had just told him. After a brief silence, he spoke again. “You will help me, you have bodyguards.” “Come again?” She raised a brow. “Please, you have bodyguards, let them accompany me to the Montero's mansion, to ensure safety”. “Why should I give you my bodyguards?” Courtney replied tightly. “I promise to be your cousin brother, and take back my original identity after this”. He replied. Courtney was silent for some minutes, then she smirked. “Is that suppose to work on me, you sly fox!” “I take my promises seriously.” Courtney glanced at him slowly, studying the expression on his face. “I guess you are right. I am just not used to this version of you. However, I still insist your life is at risk here, so I will gladly reject. Besides, Hinata was captured because of her nosy attitude. That must be her reason for apologizing”. Courtney replied with a frown. Antonio was silent until she glanced back at him. He looked really helpless, it made her heart sank. Courtney sighed. “Alright. But if you’re going to do this, you need to be smart about it. You can’t just charge in. Damon is dangerous. You need to be prepared, so we have to plan something.” Antonio’s face lightened up immediately. “I’ll do whatever it takes. Just help me find her.” He replied. Courtney looked at him, her eyes filled with a mix of worry and sadness. She couldn’t stop him from going after Hinata, but if he was going to do it, she’d have to make sure he didn’t go down the same path as before. Secondly, how will Angela feel if she gets to know that he was willing to risk his life for Hinata?
