Angela fed him between bites of her own breakfast. "Do you like it, baby?" She said in a tiny voice and kissed his cheek. He nodded and clapped his tiny hands. "Yummy!" "That's my little sunshine," Angela said, beaming at him. Lia tried to query once more, her voice was filled with gentle persistence. "Mom, really, what's going on? It's like you're a different person today." Angela laughed softly, reaching out to ruffle her hair. "Eat your food, miss curiosity". "I am no longer a little baby, mom". Lia pouted at how messed up her long hair is. "My apologies boss". Angela replied. The girls laughed. After breakfast, Angela felt a mix of nervousness and excitement bubbling inside her. She cleared the table, kissed her children again, and told them to focus on their studies for the day. Lia and Liya took their schoolbooks to the living room, where they set up a study area to help Junior with his English starter lessons. Junior was full of energy after breakfast, so he was eager to learn from his older sisters. With the kids occupied, Angela headed upstairs to freshen up. She stood in front of her bathroom mirror, taking a deep breath as she tried to calm her nerves down. The thought of seeing Antonio again, after the other day with Hinata, filled her with a sense of fear. Her mind drifted back to the last time she saw Antonio. The memories were not very encouraging. Will his Amnesia be a hindrance? What if he gives her no chance to talk and reveal everything? However, she pushed them aside, reminding herself that today was about moving forward, not dwelling on the past. She was determined to follow Yuki's advice and approach this reunion with a great strength of determination. She sighed and turned in the shower. After her bath, she chose an elegant dress and her favorite winter coat but this time she applied a light touch of makeup, just enough to highlight her natural features including her freckles. She let her brunette hair down from the bun, trying to appear as similar as the Angela she used to be from years back. Once she was ready, she took one last look in the mirror, and touched the locker necklace Antonio gave her at the beginning of it all and in his egocentric nature lied that it was a gift from his Grandma. "You can do this". She whispered to herself, drawing strength from the necklace and the thought of Junior, who she believed would be the bridge for their reunion. She said a little prayer and gave herself a reassuring smile before grabbing her purse and heading out the door. Before leaving, she peeked into the living room, where Lia and Liya were guiding Junior through his lessons. The sight of her children working together brought a warm feeling to her chest. "I'm heading out for a bit," she said, catching their attention. "If you need anything, just call me, okay?" "Sure, Mom," Lia replied, giving her a thumbs-up. "Good luck!" Liya added, flashing a knowing smile that made Angela chuckle. "Thank you," Angela said, her heart swelling with their affection. She blew them a kiss. Junior noticed her going and was about to cry after her, but Angela was fast enough to shut the door. As she made her way to the restaurant where she had seen Antonio, her heart raced faster. She didn't know what to expect, but she knew she had to go. Today could be the day that will change everything, and she has to be strong to face it. Just a stone throw away from the location. Angela spotted Antonio walking alone, carrying a delivery bag, as he returned to the restaurant. Her heart skipped a beat. She froze at a spot, then made to approach him, her nerves on edge and her hands clenched. There's no Hinata in view....she better hurry. She started running towards him. Just before he entered the restaurant, Antonio noticed made eye contact with her and a face that suggests he is not delighted to see her. "Oh no...did he ignore me?" She asked in disappointment. She stopped running and stared at the restaurant sadly. She stood there, unsure if to cry or not. Fortunately, a few minutes later, Antonio came out of the entrance door without any delivery bag and started walking towards her! Angela's eyes widened in surprise and her heart started racing once again. "What? Is he really approaching me?" She swallowed tightly and stood there, tears clouding her eyes, as she tried to fight them back. When he got close enough to her, Angela smiled and opened her mouth, but before she could say anything, he spoke first. "I had a feeling you might come back," Antonio said. "We need to talk." That was another shocker. Angela slowly shut her mouth in surprise and curiously. She also noticed he wasn't as awkward as before, but now he seems serious and focused. Moreover, unlike before when they made eye contact, and he was staring like a lost soul, now he was unable to maintain eye contact like he knew something! The change in his attitude made her wonder what was going through his mind. Did he remember her? Did Hinata tell him about his past? Or was this something else entirely? Her thoughts spun in circles as she nodded, trying to keep her composure. "Okay, Antonio". She managed to reply, her voice barely above a whisper. Antonio gestured toward a small café just down the street. "Let's go somewhere quiet, please," he suggested politely. Angela nodded readily, like she has been waiting for this moment since forever. She smiled and cleaned the tears rolling freely down her cheeks.
