HINATA'S FEAR

Ch. 270 / 312 Apr 03, 2026

Hinata was spiraling into a state of depression and anxiety, her mental state still not yet recovered from the revelation of Antonio’s true identity. Sleep eluded her, and the night had become torturous, filled with restless tossing and turning. The fear of losing her Diego haunted her every waking moment. She had come to love him deeply, too much even, and the thought of him returning to a life she wasn’t part of is literally the worst nightmare ever! Hinata thought that she could just keep things the way they were, they could still have their happily ever after. She needed to feel close to him, to remind herself that he was still hers. So that night, she decided to take the initiative. She set the mood in their small apartment, dimming the lights and playing soft, romantic music. She wore seductive lingerie, hoping to capture his attention and draw him away from whatever thoughts were plaguing him, about their recent interaction with Angela. As Antonio returned from his late evening delivery errand. Hinata greeted him with a seductive presence and smile, trying to push away the anxiety gnawing at her insides. She approached him, her hands gently caressing his shoulders as she leaned in to kiss him. “Diego,” she whispered huskily, “I have a surprise for you and trust me you will love it.” However, she could sense Antonio's detachment. His kiss wasn't as inviting as before. “Could it be that he was thinking about that woman? Could it be that seeing her again had stirred something deep within him, something like their past love life?” She panicked. “No, no it can't be, I am overthinking all this”. She tried harder, pressing her body against his, kissing him more deeply, but Antonio’s response was tepid. He wasn’t reciprocating with his usual passion, and it pained her to see him so unresponsive. She knew something was wrong. “Diego, please,” she whispered again, this time with a hint of desperation in her voice. She wanted to drown out the fear, to hold on to him with everything she had, but he gently pulled away, his gaze distant. Antonio sighed, running a hand through his hair. “Hinata, I’m sorry. I just… I’m not feeling like myself tonight.” Hinata felt her heart racing heavily and nervously. She knew this wasn’t just about tonight, it was about everything that has to do with that woman. It felt like he was slipping away from her, and she can't do anything about it. No, no, maybe she can! She can't just give up. She slid her hand into his shorts and held his big shaft, the size even when not aroused yet felt so satisfying, and she leaned in to kiss him on the lips. “Diego-San, if you are tired then, let me relieve you”. She whispered and went down to kiss his big shaft behind his night shorts. But Antonio remained resolute, his body stiffening at her touch. He gently pulled her face from his groin and looked at her with an expression that was more serious than she had ever seen before. “Hinata,” He said, his voice calm but deep, “please, tell me the truth. What did that woman… What did she say to you at the restaurant?” Hinata froze, her heart pounding in her chest. She had hoped to avoid this conversation, to keep the truth buried beneath layers of her seduction and distraction. But now, he is asking her to tell him about it. The fear of losing him, her deep love she had for him and the anxiety of what their future might be after this all collided at once. She tried to hold back, but the tears came anyway, spilling down her cheeks as she looked into his eyes. “Diego, I…” she choked on her words. “ I am sorry for keeping it away from you…. I…just… I was so afraid because…. I… don't want to lose you…” She burst into tears. “That was why I kept it from you…no, I can't let you know…. Please…don't hate me”. Antonio’s expression softened, but his gaze remained steady. “Hinata, I need to know. Please, just tell me what she said.” Hinata's shoulders were now shaking as she sobbed. “She said… she said she knew you before. That you’re not really Diego. You’re Antonio Montero, an American… an American celebrity.” Her voice trembled as she continued, “She said she could help you remember that she knows your past… that she could bring you back to your real family. You can browse about it all”. Antonio listened in silence, the name “Antonio Montero” echoing in his mind like a distant memory he couldn’t quite grasp. He slowly took his phone while Hinata was still sobbing and typed the name. His eyes widened…why haven't he came across someone who knew him, is he not as popular in Japan? The confusion he had been feeling all day now made sense, but it didn’t give him any peace knowing that, Instead, it deepened the turmoil inside him. Hinata suddenly hugged him, her tears soaking into his shirt. “I didn’t want you to find out, Diego… because I’m scared,” she confessed, her voice barely above a whisper. “I’m scared that if you remember who you are, you’ll leave me. You’ll go back to a life that doesn’t include me.” Antonio was hurt to see her in so much pain, and couldn't get angry at her initial plan to keep it a secret. He gently lifted her face in his palms, making her look at him, cleaning her tears, he spoke softly. “Hinata, I care about you more than anything, but I can’t live with the wrong identity anymore, I need to know more about me, where I come from … .if there's a family waiting for me.” Hinata’s tears flowed freely, her worst fears seemingly coming true. “I love you, Diego… Antonio… whoever you are,” she cried loudly. “I don’t want to lose you. Tell me, Diego…will this change everything?.. .Us?. Remember our journey of love?” She looked up at him with tears flooding down her pale face.
