Between Four of Us

Chapter 210

Ch. 210 / 250 Jun 22, 2025

The house was finally complete, and Jade couldn’t stop smiling as she wandered from room to room, taking in every detail. It had taken weeks of planning and decorating, but the results were worth every minute. Each space reflected a perfect balance of modern luxury and cozy warmth, with soft rugs, elegant furniture, and touches of personality that made it feel like home. Her favorite part, though, was the bedroom.

The bed in the master suite was nothing short of massive. It sprawled across the room, its plush, oversized mattress flanked by velvet headboards and surrounded by pillows in every shape and size. Jade swore it could fit at least eight people comfortably, which only made her laugh every time she thought about it. “This is ridiculous,” she had told Milan when it arrived, to which he had smirked and replied, “Ridiculous is our style.”

Now, as the sun set outside and the soft glow of the house’s lighting filled the rooms, Jade walked down the hall toward the kitchen. The smell of something delicious wafted through the air, and she found Thiago at the stove, wearing an apron and humming a tune as he stirred a pot.

“What are you cooking, Chef Thiago?” Jade teased, leaning against the counter.

Thiago glanced over his shoulder with a grin. “Something special to celebrate. We’ve officially turned this house into a home, and that calls for a feast.”

Jade peered into the pot, the aroma making her stomach growl. “It smells amazing. What is it?”

“Pasta primavera with a twist,” he said proudly, gesturing to a spread of fresh vegetables and herbs on the counter. “Plus garlic bread and my famous chocolate mousse for dessert.”

“You’re spoiling us,” Jade said, shaking her head with a smile.

“That’s the idea,” Thiago said, winking. “Now, go set the table. Enzo and Milan are opening the wine.”

By the time dinner was ready, the dining room was aglow with candlelight. The four of them sat around the table, the mood light and celebratory. Enzo poured glasses of red wine for everyone, his sharp suit slightly undone as he leaned back in his chair with a relaxed grin.

“To our new home,” Milan said, raising his glass. His tone was calm, but his eyes were warm as they swept over the table. “And to Jade, for making it feel complete.”

Jade flushed, lifting her glass. “I didn’t do anything but pick out a few rugs and curtains.”

“You gave it life,” Enzo said smoothly, clinking his glass against hers. “And you’ve made it feel like more than just a house.”

Thiago grinned, raising his own glass. “Cheers to that.”

As they ate, the conversation flowed easily. Thiago told stories about his adventures in the kitchen, Enzo recounted a particularly chaotic work meeting that had Milan shaking his head in exasperation, and Jade laughed so much her sides began to hurt. By the time the plates were cleared, she felt lighter than she had in weeks.

After dinner, they moved to the living room, where a massive sectional sofa dominated the space. A movie was queued up on the wall-mounted screen, and Thiago brought out bowls of popcorn and dessert. Jade curled up in the middle of the sofa, a blanket draped over her lap as Milan sat to her right, Enzo to her left, and Thiago on the far end.

“What are we watching?” Jade asked, glancing at the screen.

“Something light,” Thiago said, throwing an arm over the back of the couch. “We’ve had enough drama for a lifetime.”

“Rom-com?” Enzo suggested, raising an eyebrow.

Milan smirked. “You? A romantic comedy?”

“Hey, I’m versatile,” Enzo shot back, earning a laugh from Jade.

They settled on a classic romantic comedy, the kind that made Jade smile and roll her eyes in equal measure. As the movie played, she couldn’t help but glance around at the three men she was now sharing her life with. It still felt surreal—living with Milan, Enzo, and Thiago, the same men who had once been her bosses and now felt like so much more.

“I can’t believe this is my life,” she said quietly, mostly to herself.

Milan heard her and turned his head, his gaze soft. “What do you mean?”

Jade shrugged, pulling the blanket tighter around her. “I just… I never thought I’d end up here. Living with you three, in this incredible house. It feels like a dream.”

“It’s not a dream,” Enzo said, his voice low but steady. “This is real, Jade. You’re part of this, part of us.”

Thiago reached over to nudge her foot with his. “And you’d better get used to it, because we’re not letting you go.”

Jade laughed softly, her cheeks flushing. “I’m starting to realize that.”
