Between Four of Us

Chapter 205

Ch. 205 / 250 Jun 22, 2025

The stars twinkled brightly in the night sky, casting a soft glow over the secluded outdoor garden. It was the perfect evening—warm, calm, and full of promise. Jade adjusted her dress as she stepped out of the car, her heart racing slightly as she caught sight of Milan, Enzo, and Thiago waiting for her. They stood near the entrance, dressed impeccably in tailored suits, each exuding their own unique charm.

“You’re finally here,” Milan said, his lips curling into a rare, soft smile as he extended his hand to help her out of the car.

Jade took his hand, her cheeks flushing. “What is all this?”

“You’ll see,” Thiago chimed in, his mischievous grin lighting up his face. “Let’s just say tonight is about spoiling you.”

Enzo stepped forward, his dark eyes sparkling under the soft glow of the garden lights. “You deserve a night to relax, Jade. No stress, no chaos. Just us.”

Her heart swelled at their words as they led her down a pathway lined with lanterns and petals. The scent of roses filled the air, mingling with the faint sound of music drifting from deeper within the garden.

When they reached the center of the garden, Jade gasped. A beautifully set table stood beneath a canopy of string lights and flowers. The table was adorned with elegant crystal glasses, fine china, and flickering candles. Surrounding it were tall hedges, giving the space an intimate, private feel. A violinist stood off to the side, playing a soft, romantic tune that made Jade’s heart flutter.

“This is… incredible,” she said, her voice breathless as she took it all in.

“We wanted to do something special,” Milan said, pulling out a chair for her. “You’ve been through so much. It’s time you felt appreciated.”

Jade sat down, her eyes shining with emotion. “I don’t even know what to say. This is amazing.”

“You don’t have to say anything,” Enzo said smoothly, taking the seat to her left. “Just enjoy it.”

Thiago winked as he sat to her right. “And maybe let us know if we managed to impress you by the end of the night.”

Jade laughed, her earlier nervousness melting away. “You’ve already impressed me.”

The meal began with a series of exquisite dishes—succulent seared scallops, a refreshing citrus salad, and creamy lobster bisque. The men were attentive, pouring her wine and making sure she had everything she needed. Their conversation was light and playful, filled with teasing and laughter.

Thiago leaned closer, his eyes twinkling. “Alright, Jade. If you could only take one of us to a deserted island, who would it be?”

Jade nearly choked on her wine, laughing as she set the glass down. “What kind of question is that?”

“A good one,” Thiago replied, grinning. “Come on, answer.”

She pretended to think, her gaze flicking between the three of them. “Hmm… I think I’d take Milan. He’s practical and resourceful. We’d survive.”

Milan raised an eyebrow, a faint smirk tugging at his lips. “Good choice.”

Enzo feigned offense, clutching his chest. “I see how it is. I’d probably be too busy building us a five-star resort to be useful.”

“You’re not wrong,” Jade teased, earning a round of laughter from the table.

As the main course arrived—filet mignon paired with truffle mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables—Jade felt completely at ease. The conversation shifted to lighthearted stories, with Thiago recounting a particularly embarrassing moment from their last business trip that had everyone in stitches.

After dinner, they moved to a small firepit nearby. Plush blankets were draped over the seating area, and a tray of desserts and champagne waited for them. Jade snuggled into one of the blankets as Thiago handed her a glass.

“To Jade,” he said, raising his own glass. “The most resilient, beautiful woman we know.”

Jade’s cheeks turned crimson as Milan and Enzo echoed the toast. She raised her glass, her voice soft but steady. “And to you three—for always being there when I needed you most.”

The clink of glasses and the warmth of the fire created a perfect moment. Jade leaned back, her heart full as she watched the flames dance in the pit.

As the night wore on, the mood became softer, more intimate. The music from earlier still played faintly in the background, adding to the romantic atmosphere.

“Thank you for tonight,” Jade said quietly, looking at each of them in turn. “I didn’t realize how much I needed this.”

Milan leaned closer, his expression unreadable but his eyes soft. “You deserve more than just one night like this, Jade. We’ll make sure of it.”

Enzo reached out, brushing a stray strand of hair from her face. “You’re special to us. More than you know.”

Thiago’s grin softened, his usual playfulness replaced with sincerity. “We’re just lucky to have you in our lives.”

Jade’s chest tightened at their words, her emotions overwhelming her. Without thinking, she leaned forward and kissed Thiago softly on the lips. His eyes widened briefly before he smiled against her lips, returning the kiss.

When she pulled back, she turned to Enzo, her heart pounding. She hesitated for only a second before pressing her lips to his. His hand came up to cup her face gently, his kiss warm and tender.

Finally, she looked at Milan, whose intense gaze held hers. She moved toward him, their lips meeting in a kiss that was slow and deliberate. When she pulled back, her cheeks were flushed, and her heart was racing.
