Jade sat on the couch in the safe house’s cozy living room, her eyes glued to the massive marquise-cut diamond ring on her finger. It sparkled under the soft glow of the lamps, and every time she shifted her hand, it caught the light in a way that made her heart skip. She still couldn’t wrap her head around it—she was engaged. Not to one man, but to three.
Her phone buzzed on the cushion next to her, and she immediately picked it up, opening FaceTime and calling Mia. As soon as Mia’s face appeared on the screen, Jade held up her hand, the ring prominently displayed.
Mia squinted at first, confused. But then her eyes widened, and a scream erupted from her. “OH MY GOD, JADE! IS THAT—IS THAT AN ENGAGEMENT RING?”
Jade couldn’t help but laugh, her cheeks flushed. “It is.”
Mia gasped, her hand flying to her mouth. “Wait. Hold on. Are you telling me that Milan, Enzo, and Thiago all proposed to you? Like… together?”
“Yes,” Jade said, her smile so wide it hurt. “They all asked me to marry them.”
Mia squealed, practically bouncing in her seat on the screen. “This is insane! Amazing, but insane! I mean, Jade, this is the stuff of dreams—and maybe a little bit of a soap opera. But oh my god, I’m so happy for you!”
Jade laughed again, her happiness bubbling over. “I know it’s unconventional, Mia, but it just feels… right. With them, everything makes sense.”
Mia clapped her hands together. “Girl, who cares about conventional? You’re marrying three insanely hot, insanely rich men who worship the ground you walk on. If anyone deserves a fairy-tale ending, it’s you.”
Jade felt her cheeks warm. “Thank you, Mia. It means a lot to hear that.”
“You better believe I’m planning your bachelorette party,” Mia said with a mischievous grin. “And you better tell me every detail about how they proposed.”
Jade spent the next fifteen minutes recounting the proposal at the beach, the stunning setup, and the heartfelt words from each of the men. By the time she was done, Mia was practically in tears.
“They’re so perfect for you,” Mia said, sniffling. “And you’re perfect for them. This is going to be epic, Jade.”
Jade smiled, a mixture of joy and disbelief still coursing through her. “Thanks, Mia. I’m so glad I could share this with you.”
“Always,” Mia said. “Now go enjoy your fiancés. And tell Thiago he owes me some of that amazing food he always cooks.”
“I’ll let him know,” Jade promised, ending the call with a laugh.
