BDSM Play with My CEO

Chapter 64: Welcome back

Ch. 64 / 116 Dec 06, 2025

When I heard what they said, the grin on my lips vanished. My palms are numb. Is it possible that it's because what I stated is why he'd leave? I took a glance down the way toward where his office was going. I couldn't move and didn't know how to respond. They saw my shift in expression, so they touched me and asked.

"Are you okay? Does your body hurt?" She touched my forehead to check whether it was hot, but I only smiled at them hard. I recall the terrible words I yelled at him merely because I was shocked by what occurred, no matter how much I think I was truly at fault since I didn't listen to his explanation.

"Did he mention why he was leaving?" My voice sounded frantic to acquire the information I wanted. When she shook her head and returned her gaze to the monitor, I had no choice but to enter Tayler's office. I feel like I'm running out of time to see him. When the door opened and Tayler walked in, his eyes were sorrowful and he looked at me. I believe I can obtain a bit more information from him now that I've seen him.

I approached him to apologize for what happened yesterday, that we had a misunderstanding, and then I abruptly left. He looked at me, and his eyes brightened as he saw me. It's evident that his mind is still maturing, so perhaps I didn't immediately feel a bit better for him when he expressed interest in me. I grasped Tayler's hand, and he glanced at our now-touching hands.

"Tayler, I'm sorry for what transpired yesterday; I just have an emergency, so I can't bid goodbye." Lies.

"I-okay...it's." He closed and opened his lips again, as if he wanted to say anything else but couldn't. I took my hand away from him, and he followed it with his glance, so I caught his eyes. I was still apprehensive because he may detect that I was too interested in Adams' leaving, but I nevertheless asked my question.

"I discovered that Adams is leaving the country; is it because of him that you are sad?" When I asked him this, his eyes got sad again, but he nodded. My eyes were red with astonishment, but I hastily wiped them away because I was worried he would notice.

"But your firm has just been built in, so why is he leaving?" Now my voice is inquisitive, but I fake a cough and pretend I don't have a question and I'm simply wondering. I followed him over to his desk since I couldn't help but hear his response now. Perhaps if I don't get my answer right away, I won't get it till Adams has gone.

"He didn't want to tell us why, but he said he'll attempt to build a business there and, if things go well, he might migrate there. I'm devastated since he became my instructor, guiding me through the corporate world.”

I bolted from Tayler's office; it's up to him whether or not he fires me; the main thing now is that I should meet Adams; can I wager again? This time, I intend to win rather than lose and return home defeated. I hurried to his office, but even before I got there, his secretary stopped me, surprised that I had made such a hurry. He's holding a list, which I believe has Adams' schedule. I shook her by grabbing both of her arms.

"Where is Adams? I need to see him right now." Even though I have air conditioning, I have sweat on my neck. Tears are welling up in my eyes, despite the fact that it is entirely my fault. When his secretary shook her head, I dashed to the elevator. I haven't set down my purse yet, so I won't have to walk back and forth to the office.

I quickly hailed a cab and was given the address of the residence that I had stated I would never visit again. I merely put my palm on my face and caught my tears as I wanted to get out of the vehicle sooner. When I peered outside, I realized that we may still be taking time to arrive. What if he had already departed by the time we arrived at his house.

When I paid the driver, I sprinted to the gate, which was guarded by someone else. When the new guard spotted me, it was as if he sprang into my presence, and I didn't have to say anything since he had opened the door for me. I vividly remember the day the old guard refused to let me into this house because he stated that was what Adams had ordered, but today it is so simple for me to come in without even saying my name. Nothing had changed in the home, so I ran inside to seek for him. Before, he did not employ a maid, but now you can find someone cleaning in any corner of the home.

I was amazed that the maids bowed to me given the fact that my presence was new to them. Even the head maid, who I believe instructs the maids, has bowed over me. I couldn't talk, and I wasn't sure if I should bow as well. I wouldn't have returned to myself if the head maid hadn't spoken.

"Ma'am, welcome back. Youngmaster isn't here today, but you can wait for him anywhere, even in your room ." That was the head maid, and I looked up because of what she said. I gave her a puzzle look. Until I became aware that my foot was already on a large portrait.

"Welcome back..." I gently said to myself as I realized who was in the photo. I simply cover my mouth using my palms to stop my sobbing.

I'm not sure when he was able to create this portrait for which I am the content.
