I stepped out of the car with a smear of rage on my face. My footsteps were large, and you could tell how upset I was over what he did. I go to their gate to leave; this location is far from my flat, so I'm not clear why he brought me here. Before I could move too far, I heard the car door open and close, and he drew my hand away from me so I could look at him. I did not show him my body. It's only the head. If only a frigid stare was harmful, I'm sure he'd be sprawled on the floor by now.
His expression was clearly worried, and he didn't know what to do as a result. I took his hand away a few seconds later, but he still didn't say anything. When he finally spoke, I would have kept walking. I didn't return his gaze and simply waited for his speech to enter my ear. He was plagued by a few heavy sighs like a consequence of what he had done. I'm not very interested in his answer, but returning to this place is the most important aspect of my life that I don't want to return anymore. I had a fantasy story in this home, but this house is also one of the reasons why I don't want to do new things.
"I have no plans to do anything else with you , I just want to take you for a walk here—"
"What for?"
I can't hear my own voice because my mind is filled with new questions. Is he trying to be funny? If there's one destination I'd like to return to, it's not this one. For the past year, this place has done nothing except fill my heart with dread. I was already confronting him; I wanted to blame the things that had occurred to me over the last year on what he had caused, but in the end, I opted not to tell him the things that had made me bitter because I wanted to return to my world. Everyone is already moving, but I have my own universe because it does not move like others, so I am. What I claimed was that time won’t leave us; it was carrying us, but I was wrong because I was left behind.
He did not respond to my remark. I grasped my waist and smacked him hard, something I'd wanted to do to him for a long time. This is something I've wanted to do for a long time but haven't had the guts to do so, but now that he's here, thank you, and he's given me the chance. That slap didn't agitate me since it reminded me of how sad he made me feel. That slap was because he left me in the air. He had no idea how many demons I had fought simply to survive every day, yet he was now standing in front of me, acting as if nothing had occurred — as if everything was still perfect.
Because of the force of my hit on him, his face shifted to the left. I was still not satisfied, so I whacked him on the opposite side of his cheek once again. Just in case he regains consciousness, this is what I did to him. I squirmed with rage, as if I had gathered it in a jar and it had now overflowed after a prolonged period. He didn't appear to be comforted by what I did, and he seemed to understand why. I was completely unconscious that tears were already streaming down my face. To avoid sobbing, I covered my mouth with my palm.
"Is it really that amusing to see me suffer?" I nodded at him as I wiped my eyes. Maybe I'm his favorite toy because he can't get me to quit. I'm most likely the greatest in his collection.
His eyes widened in astonishment as I continued to nod.
"No way, Zoe. I..." When I turned my back on him, he couldn't finish what he was about to say. When he seized my hand again, I smacked it hard and stared at him with blemished eyes. My eyes are so red that it seems like I'm high on drugs.
“Don't come near me again, every time I feel your hands, I feel like I'm being raped. No… I feel even worse there. I hate myself every time you touch me, so I hope you don't show up to me or if you meet me, don't pretend you know me. ” I ran away from there and when I got home, I thought I had said too much to him. I knew there was a right way to say things to her but I was just carried away by the impulse.
When I got to work, I couldn't tell how many times I glanced in the mirror to practice apologizing for what I'd said to him. Even though we had a misunderstanding, I understood that my approach of addressing him about it was improper. I held my breath as I considered how I would approach him, but as I walked inside the office, I overheard the employees conversing. Another issue I had was figuring out how to explain to Tayler why I had abruptly vanished the day before.
"I heard he'll be gone for months," a woman whispered. I approached three women who were crowded in the same office cubicle. I don't have an issue with them since they aren't in my cubicle row, thus I don't have a problem with them at work.
"What are you on about, uh?"
They were taken aback when I abruptly entered the conversation, but they quickly recovered when they saw I was the only one. Before they could say anything, the two women next to me moved over to me. The woman in front of the computer was the first to speak, and I was surprised by what she said.
“Mr. Freed announced he will leave the country for a few months. ”
