Wedded To The Ruthless Mafia Boss

Bring Back the criminal

Ch. 77 / 166 Jan 15, 2026

"I will think about what you've said and let you know what I decide on." He told Lisa.

"Great!" Lisa smiled. "I want to feed her now, I hope she eats."

Lisa blew on the spoonful of oats and extended the spoon to Lena's mouth. "Ah," she said. Lena turned away from the food. "Come on, you have to eat," she grumbled. "You have to eat if you don't want me to kill you in my books."

Darian chuckled when Lisa leaned on Lena and whispered some words into her ears. He wasn't sure what she said, but Lena took the food after that, and she chewed slowly.

She took two more spoons and pushed the food aside. She laid back on the bed, wrapping the duvet around her body.

"I will try again later," Lisa smiled. "I will stay with her, you can go and attend to your businesses. She's safe here with me." She assured Darian.

"Thank you so much, Lisa. I don't know what I would have done if you weren't here. Thank you," he said with a serious expression. "I will see you soon," he bent to kiss Lena before walking out of the room.

As Darian ambled through the hallway that led to his study, he overheard a loud voice coming from the living room.

He recognized the one that belonged to Jay, but the other wasn't too clear. He veered around, heading toward the living room, the voice was clearer now and it belonged to Judson.

Darian was furious, he easily discerned why Judson was in his house.

He walked in on the two men, Jay bowed his head while Judson welcomed him with a deadly glare.

"What are you doing in my house, Judson?" Darian walked closer to him. He turned to Jay and asked. "I passed an order that you shouldn't let anyone in without my permission, didn't I?" He queried Jay.

"I am sorry, boss. The bodyguards didn't know the order had not been changed since two days ago. Besides, Judson and his men were constituting a nuisance outside the house, we had to bring them to order."

"Leave us," Darian commanded. Jay bowed his head and walked away from them. Darian's eyes bored into Judson's. "My wife is sick and receiving treatments at the moment."

"I heard she's back and that's why I'm here to fetch her. She hasn't confessed to the crime she committed. How can you let her come out!" Judson yelled out furiously. "What kind of a boss are you?"

"I don't want to have this conversation with you. Can you leave my house now?" Darian pointed towards the door. "Leave before I order my men to throw you out."

"I am not leaving here without that fugitive," Judson sneered.

Darian clenched his fists so tightly, he didn't want to throw a punch, but he might if Judson didn't stop calling Lena names.

"Go in and bring her out from wherever you are hiding her. You don't want to break the family’s ules, do you?" He laughed softly. "You do know that even the Don would not be spared if he breaks the rules. So, don't hide a criminal. Go in there and bring her out, she has to confess to us, we need to know the people who sent her."

"She didn't poison Gaius and I don't care if you believe that or not."

"Go in and bring her out," Judson said in a commanding tone.

Darian scoffed, "who the hell do you think you are to come into my house and tell me the things to do?" He asked, his eyes burning with fury.

"If you don't bring Lena out this minute, I will call a sit-down to report you for hiding a criminal." Judson threatened.

"Come on, grab your phone and call all the members of the Dawson family mafia. Call them all to a sit-down and let's see the members who will turn up without approval from the Don. Go on and call them," Darian crouched down on one of the couches in the living room.

Judson knew Darian had won against him. A sit-down can only be summoned if there was approval from the Don and the godfather. He had visited Gaius in the hospital and he seemed to be taking Lena's side. He fumed and smiled horridly.

"I will come back for you,"

"And I will await your comeback." Darian smiled, smirking at Judson. "Now that you are done, can you get out of my house?"

"I will be back," Judson said.

Turning toward the door, he darted out of the living room.

Darian sighed in relief when Judson left. He knew he had to act fast before everyone started asking about Lena. He was sure his wife didn't poison Gaius, and to prove her innocence, he had to find the criminal.

Jay stood in front of Darian, waiting for him to start a conversation.

"What other news have you gotten about the poison case?" He asked Jay.

"The women who worked at the casino are still being interrogated," Jay answered.

"What was the result of the fingerprint test?" He asked.

"Only Lena's fingerprint was detected on the cup, the man who raised the glass to inform everyone that the wine was poisoned used a napkin to hold it up."

"What do we do, Jay? I can't let Lena go back to that horrible room." Darian sounded helpless.

He had never been this way, he always found solutions to problems. And no matter how complicated it was, he always found his way around it. He'd been good with that for years, but he couldn't even prove his wife's innocence.

"I will try harder," Jay said, uncertainty laced in his voice.

"You have to. I need to get the reports of the interrogation of the women at the casino. Someone amongst them did this." Darian got off the couch. "Please try harder."

"I will," Jay promised him. Darian was a few steps into the hallway when Jay called him back, he turned back to look at him. "You have a call from Gaius." He said, walking towards Darian to give him the phone.
