Triumph Of My Cheating Husband

Chapter113

Ch. 113 / 196 Sep 18, 2024

Dwayne went straight to the bathroom without sparing himself a second to breathe -due to the rush and not being aware of the bathroom floor being greased, he slipped, hitting his head hard on the bathtub.

Dwayne's head pounded with pain, causing him to groan loudly. A cold chill immediately sent a ripple through him, realizing that he was bleeding profusely from the impact of the fall. He was disoriented and barely able to comprehend what was happening to him.

He tried to scream, but it seemed like he suddenly lose his voice. No matter how hard he tries to scream, he could barely hear his own voice.

He attempted to stand up but couldn't due to the excruciating pain in his back and his neck was hurting like hell -he had a dislocation in his neck due to how hard he hit his head on the bathtub.

Slowly, he felt his life sipping away from his body with no one around to help him. He seethes in agony, crawling towards the door.

Dwayne's limbs felt heavy and numb, as if he was setting out to move through a thick sludge. The more he tried to get to the door, the more his limbs began to feel weak and limp.

A wave of panic washed over him as he realized he might not be able to reach the door in time. He tried to scream again, but it was as if his voice were trapped inside his throat, refusing to escape.

He felt a hot, sticky sensation creeping down his face, and he realized with horror that he was bleeding profusely from his head wound. Not only that, but he knows his wound is critical, and his life is at stake if no help comes his way soon.

Just as Dwayne was about to give up all hope, he heard the sound of heavy footsteps in the hallway, getting closer and closer. He felt a surge of hope as the footsteps got louder and louder.

Suddenly, Aunt Elsie burst into the bathroom, her eyes wide with fear. "Dwayne!" She shrieks, rushing to his side. "What happened?"

Dwayne tried to speak as she squatted before him, but all that came out was a strangled whimper, and nothing could be picked from what he was trying to insinuate.

He pointed to his head and neck, hoping aunt Elsie would understand even though he's aware her presence meant nothing -she might leave him to his cruel fate, but he still dare hoped for a helping hand from her.

"Don't worry..."Aunt Elsie told him, her voice barely audible but determined. "It'll go away soon -the pains and the agony you are feeling right now, it'll all disappear when you are dead. So, I'll advise you, Dwayne, die quickly and save yourself from these writhing pains."

Dwayne shrieks in terror, his eyes opened widely in fear. (This isn't right, Elsie. You can't do this to me and leave me to die, you aren't supposed to be doing this at all...' He wanted to tell her, but he couldn't since his voice was trapped in his throat.

The best he could do was struggle and try to reach her hand, desperation in his eyes "he's barely clinging to life since he's too weak to feel his body. Aunt Elsie was quick to slap his hand away before he could reach her, wearing a disgusted look.

"I never knew you will be desperate enough to beg for my help, Dwayne." She lilted, her laced with irritation. "You should be ashamed of yourself for being too weak as a man to want help from me, boy!"

A tear fell from Dwayne's right eye -not for himself or due to the excruciating pains, he's feeling but for his sister. Dwayne's doubt if he'll be able to survive his situation and that only means one thing for Ciara and her son, Herzl, inclusive -this woman will make them go through hell before Ciara would realize what's happening.

If only Ciara had listened to his warning against this devilish woman. If only she wasn't too naive to accept such evil as this woman into her life. If only...if only...!

Aunt Elsie stood up to get a mop and bucket, Dwayne stared at her, wondering what she was going to do with it. (Is she going to hit me with it until I pass away quickly?' He thought in pain within himself, imagining how cruel she will be more she's at the moment.

"Don't give me that eyes, boy!" She blurted out, her voice stern. "I have no intention of doing whatever you might be thinking within yourself." She sounded like she was reading his mind. "I only want to clean the grease on the floor-I'm not that daft to leave any evidence and suspicion behind."

She cleaned the grease on the floor until there was nothing left to bring suspicion, and she quickly returned the mop to its initial position. "This will make it look like a mere accident caused by your careless." She added, heading towards the door. "I'm sorry, I have to go, I can't afford to jeopardize my plans."

Dwayne wanted to ask herwhat she wants from them. He needed to know the reasons she had decided to cause nothing but harm to them, just as their uncles -but he couldn't, he could barely open his mouth to say anything.

He could only watch her leave him to his fate without voicing out his question and getting answers to it. Barely a minute after Aunt Elsie left him, his vision started to get blurry and felt his life sipping away from his body faster than he expected.

In no time, his eyelids became too heavy for him to keep them open, soon he drifted into empty darkness, his body going totally limp.

Aunt Elsie was seated on one of the couches in the living with her back rested on it, pretending nothing happened, her leg crossed on the other. She patiently waited for Ciara's arrival, but couldn't wait for her reaction when she finds out her brother was dead.

Aunt Elsie wanted her to feel the pain of losing someone dear to her, just as she lost her husband due to Ciara's decision and negligence -she wanted to pay her back with the same coin, too.

Soon, Ciara emerged from the stairs, holding Herzl's hand in hers. She led Herzl to the dinning and set the table for him before joining Aunt Elsie in the living room.

"Where is Dwayne, Aunt Elsie?" She asked her. "Did he leave without telling me?"

Aunt Elsie smiled warmly, shaking her head negatively. "You know Dwayne would never do such a thing." She replied. "I'm sure he's still in his room, he hasn't come down since he left for his room."

Ciara was alarmed. "What do you mean? Did he forget about his flight again?" She questioned, worried that he would miss his flight and the international meeting he was supposed to attend. Without waiting for a reply, she dashed through the stairs to Dwayne's room.

Ciara did not bother to knock as she barged in, but Dwayne was nowhere in sight. The trail of blood that was flowing slowly towards the bathroom door caught her attention, since the door was opened, she glanced through at met the shock of her life.

She refused to believe her eyes as she got closer, squatting before her brother's limp body."Dwayne...!" She shrieked out loudly but got no response,・.
