Left alone in the reception, Milan was contemplating on her decision. She sat on her seat behind the shiny desk, clad in a charcoal hue skirt and a black heels to match with herdress.
In the past few days of being assigned as Ciara's secretary, she has managed to become her eyes and ears, managing to gain more of Ciara's trust than she ever thought she will -as promised, she was trying her best and almost pushing over her limits to show her dedication to the company.
She kept glancing over at the framed door, her ears itching to hear the sound of the door opening, but none was forthcoming. She sighed, a little apprehension mixed with the thrill of the idea she already formulated in her mind.
A moment later, the elevator gave out a soft chime, breaking the silence of the quiet reception area. Its grand double door switched open, revealing Ciara, who strode into the reception area. Dressed in an elegant ivory silk bloused that paired with her high-waisted pencil skirt, she gave off an aura of authority and fearlessness.
Milan sprang up from the seat she was on in a swift move, heading fast towards Ciara. "Ma'am ..."She called out, the reason behind her action was reflecting in her tone. "You are here, ma'am."
"Milan..."Ciara acknowledged her secretary with a nod, her authoritative voice echoing through the reception area. "You've been waiting for me. I see..."
Milan nodded positively in affirmation. "I have important news to share with you, Ms. Ciara." She replied, still maintaining her professional demeanor. Observing her boss's raised brows, she added hastily to her words. "It's business related, ma'am."
Intrigued by the mention of business related, she gestured to Milan to follow. "This should be discussed in my office, Milan, not here in the reception." Ciara uttered, already leading the way.
Milan quickly grabbed the folder laying on her desk and hurried after her boss. She closed the door behind he with a soft bang and headed towards the visitor's seat before Ciara's desk. Ciara gestured for herto seat after she has comfortably had her seat.
Breaking the silence, Milan leaned forward to reveal her intention for the sudden meeting with her boss, her knuckles turning white as the result of her clutching tightly to the folder in her hands.
"So...?"
Milan cleared her throat softly. "Mr. Vizio, the owner of the Vizio's Corp and groups, had just arrived in town." She announced as she stared at her boss reaction. She patiently waited for the implication or positive reaction of her boss, yet, eager to see how she would react.
Ciara's face remained passive and herexpression plain, but the spark of interest in her eyes was not the type to be concealed. "Vizio's Corp? In our city?" She questioned, perching at the edge of her desk.
Milan gave a couple of nods before she carried on. "It's rumoured that he'll be staying at The Kings, the most prestigious five-star hotels in town." She said, her gaze still at her boss. "Being a partner with him and getting his attention might bring a significant business door opening to our company."
"Why did he choose such a far yet near place to stay in upon his arrival?" Ciara was displeased at the thought of going the extra length to see him. "How good of a man is he at the moment? What's his benefits on the company as of now?"
"As of now, Vizio's Corp and groups is globally renowned for its innovative strategies and high-quality products." Milan explained professionally. "Making its owner our business partner would not only enhance our march reach but bolster our reputation globally. It might be risky ventures but the odds are in our favor."
At this, Ciara took a moment to ponder over the implication. Vizio Corp was a titan in the industry, and to have the ownerwithin their grasp was ripe for an advantageous manoeuvre.
"Milan..."Ciara called out in a sharp, intense voice. "If we can manage to secure a meeting and get Mr. Vizio's attention to ourselves, this company would take a remarkable flight." She uttered, not intending to let go of such an opportunity. "What did you suggest on this?"
"I think the best way to get his attention would be to wine and dine him, I heard he doesn't joke aboutthings like this." Milan suggested after a few seconds of thought. "We can take him to the best restaurant in town and impress him with our hospitality. Then, we can talk business over dinner and seal the deal."
Ciara considered Milan's idea for a moment. "That's not that bad of an idea." She said. "But we'll need to make sure everything is perfect. The food has to be exquisite, the service impeccable, and the ambiance just right, right?"
"We'll need to make sure he feels like a VIP from the moment he walks through the door." Milan continued. "We can have someone meet him at the airport and escort him to the hotel in a luxury car. Then, we can have his room stocked with all his favorite things - his favorite foods, his favorite drinks, even his favorite movies. That way, he'll feel relaxed and at home."
"I like the way you think." Ciara enunciated with a smile on her face. "But we'll also need to have a plan for what we're going to say to him, we can just rush him with hospitality without a good business idea."
"I know, ma'am. During the meeting with him, we should focus on the benefits of a partnership with ourcompany." Milan added, sounding more insightful. "We can highlight our strengths and show him how we can help his company grow, but we'll also need to be prepared for any objections he might have. We should have answers for any questions he might ask, and we should be ready to overcome any concerns he might have." "You're right..."Ciara nodded her head in affirmation. "We need to be prepared for anything, we should also try to anticipate any concerns he might have and have solutions ready. The more prepared we are, the more confident we'll be."
"We'll also have to make sure we establish a personal connection with him, ma'am." Milan said. "We should try to find some common ground, something we can bond over. It could be a shared interest, a similar background, or even a mutual acquaintance. If we can establish a personal connection, he'll be more likely to trust us and do business with us."
"That's a great point, Milan." Ciara nodded positively. "People do business with people they like and trust, so, it's important to build rapport and create a sense of connection."
"Yes, that's it, ma'am." She nodded positively in affirmation. "I'm already working on how to meet him, what I needed was your approval to it, and I'm glad you did not turn my request down."
"Please, make sure everything is done as soon as possible, Milan." Ciara urged her on. "You know how dangerous delay is, someone else might snatch this opportunity away from us if we are not fast enough."
"Sure, ma'am..."Milan cited simply as she stood up from her seat, withdrawing from her seat. "I'll do as you've ordered me, Ms. Ciara..."
Ciara only watched Milan leave, resting her back on her seat. She sighed slowly, hoping this was a good business idea that will be good enough to revive the Lerman's company...
