Triumph Of My Cheating Husband

Chapter112

Ch. 112 / 196 Sep 18, 2024

Immediately Aunt Elsie walked off from Dwayne's presence, she hastened her footsteps and soon finds at herself at his doorpost. She smirked and slowly opened the door, she peeked into the room. She was mesmerized by it exterior decor -it was a simple yet elegant room.

She entered the room, awestruck, but she quickly shakes the thought off her head. Likewise, she dropped the phone with him on his bed and frantically started searching the drawer under his dressing table.

Aunt Elsie stopped her search with a smug grin on her face after finding an olive oil in the drawer, she hastily walked up to the bathroom, greasing the whole floor with the oil. She was quick with it, as she did not waste any more time in exiting the room, already assured that no one had seen her.

She returned downstairs quickly before she would cause any suspicion. She walked towards the dinning room but stopped on hertrack a few steps away, her brows creased tightly, causing a few lines on her forehead.

Furthermore, she watched as Dwayne held his sister's hands desperately. "What is he trying to do?" She muttered under her breath. "-waste his energy and time preaching to her again?"

"Good, then there is something I need to tell you." He said to her, still clasping her hands tight in his grip.

Aunt Elsie shook her head at his behavior. "Tsk, tsk! He hasn't even learned his lesson yet, is he trying to rat me out to her?" She said with herself, watching the drama that was unfolding before her. "No matter how hard you try, she will never believe such words from you."

"What is it, Dwayne? You are making me nervous all of a sudden." She heard Ciara told Dwayne.

"Don't worry, I'll tell you everything in details when I return from the conference meeting." He enunciated, promising her. "-and I'll make sure to protect you and Herzl this time around, just as you did to us, Ciara. I promise you this!"

Aunt Elsie had to hold in her laughter at his words of determination. "If only he will live to tell the story, but sadly, he wouldn't even get the chance to leave this house nor attend the conference meeting."

"Now, let's spice things up a little bit..."She thought to herself as she walked up to the siblings like she heard nothing. Dwayne had to withdraw his grip from Ciara's hand, pretending he neversaid anything to his sister.

"Why is Herzl not up yet, Cici? It's getting late already, and he is still in bed?" Aunt Elsie asked, turning her attention on Ciara but indirectly referring her words to trigger Dwayne. "Do you want him to run late to school?"

Dwayne's eyes widened in realization. His flight would be ready at any moment, and he's yet to prepare himself-he hasn't even had his bath. He left the dinning room in a hurry, rushing through the stairs to his room.

Dwayne went straight to the bathroom without sparing himself a second to breathe

-due to the rush and not being aware of the bathroom floor being greased, he slipped, hitting his head hard on the bathtub.

Ciara facepalmed herself in disbelief. "What was I thinking, eh?" She muttered under her breath. "How did it skip my memory to prepare Herzl forschool?"

"It's pretty much relatable, isn't it, obvious." Aunt Elsie chipped in, her lips stretching out in a smile. "You must have been glad to have your brother around, I can relate to this too."

Ciara let out a chuckle. "Yeah, I was overwhelmed and caught off guard." She enunciated. "This was because Dwayne was being such a baby this morning -it must have been hard to place the difference."

Aunt Elsie patted her shoulder and gave her an assuring smile. "Well, I wouldn't agree less." She vocalized. "Men are always that way when they are around their loved ones -they have no specific difference, they all act the same."

Ciara burst out in laughter. "That's a very true statement, and you've totally nailed it." She uttered, between laughs. "I even tried to put him in the hands of a nanny to get some relief, forgetting the fact that he's old enough to take care of himself, but I realized he behaved entirely different when I wasn't around."

"It's so sweet that you're doing all this for your brother." Aunt Elsie exclaimed, nodding in approval. "He's lucky to have you, Ciara. You're very thoughtful and considerate."

"No, it's the other way around, aunt -I'm lucky to have Dwayne, he has done so much than I ever asked him." She said, gratitude laced in her voice. "The less I could do for him is being thoughtful and considerate -he deserves more than this, too."

"I understand, Cici." Aunt Elsie enunciated. "I once had a brother who could go any length for me -brothers are always possessive of their siblings, they would never want any harm to befall you."

"I know, right?" Ciara cited in a simple tone. "It's getting late as you've said, aunt, I should quickly go and prepare Herzl for school -the earlier I have this done since he spends a lot of time on breakfast."

"That's understandable." Aunt Elsie replied. "He's still a child afterall, it's common to see children taking a long time during meals. They have their own pace, and it's great to give them the chance to explore that."

Ciara let out a giggle. "I'm surprised you can know all these, aunt, you must have been in the same shoes as mine." She stated. "Is it from experience or reading?"

"A little of both." Aunt Elsie vocalized. "My brother was really something as a child, he was a sweetheart but very mischievous too -I miss having him around."

Ciara snapped out of their chat, suddenly recalling she had to prepare her son for school. "I have to go, aunt -else both Herzl and I will be late to our respective destination."

"Yeah,true..."She was quick to nod her head in affirmation, concurring. Ciara left the dinning room without a reply, leaving aunt Elsie alone to herthoughts.

"Let's check on how my prey is faring..."She mumbled to herself, her lips curling slowly smug on herface...
