Ryan sighed for the umpteenth times as he rubbed his temples continuously, probably frustrated from Anne's nonstop dramas and escapades. "Fine..." He breathed out slowly. "What did you want from me?"
"That wasn't supposed to be a sane question, Ryan." She lilted, her sharp and glaring stare was hard on him. "You already know what I want, stop putting up a pretense like you don't know. It doesn't suit you."
This is getting harder than expected. "You of all people should know I don't have that much amount on me." He told her, trying to make her see reasons with him -but as always, he knows it was another wasted effort on his part. "Where do I get such a huge amount of money from?"
Anne hissed out very loudly, her hard gaze wasn't softening any time soon, and they seemed to be covered with invincible iced glaciers. "How do I know where you should get the money from, do I look like I care?" She blurted out, her voice slowly rising to it peak.
Ryan was notjust physically tired of her, but his mental health was draining faster with it as well -he was already at the verge of losing his sanity and Anne was not ready to take things easy with him as well.
'Is this the same Anne I know from a couple of years ago?' He couldn't help but asked himself, but was unable to get the answer he wished to hear. -he doubts if she was the same lady from the past. 'Maybe this one is her doppelganger...' He managed to convince himself.
"Why act this way, Anne?" He frustratedly muttered in demand, trying to suppress the boiling rage within him that was threatening to burst out of him. "Why can't you be considerate even if it's just for, at least, once? W -why?"
Anne was, as always, unmoved by his laments or his frustrated claims. "Are you saying I'm not being considerate with you enough?" She flared up, vexed by his choice of words. "Don't tell me you are now complaining, Ryan. You won't dare -you won't dare complain, not when I'm trying to be considerate enough with you."
Despite his physical odds, he still finds himself laughing at her words -she horribly sounds funny to him. "Is this what you refer to as considerate? Is this how considerate is being defined to you? Eh?" He fumed, seeing no reason to hide the anger he's been trying to suppress with in him for a couple of minutes.
"Can you listen to the dirty words coming out from you, Ryan? How is it supposed to be defined to me, huh?" She hissed, almost gnarling at him. "Is it until I start living in wretchedness as you've pictured out for me, is that how considerate was supposed to be defined?"
Ryan breathed in sharply, getting more vexed by her choice of response. He wondered if she'll ever get tired of dragging words with him and annoying him on new dawn, as she's always doing as of recent.
"So, spending thousands of dollars for no good reasons almost every week and financially ruining me is considerate enough -for you?" He vociferated, his voice was as hard as steel.
Anne scoffs at his words, not hiding how much disgusted she felt by it. "You and I both know this would have been totally avoided if you did not change the company's documents that were supposed to share both of our names on it to yours alone." She lilted in strident, her voice wasn't only loud but was laced with coldness as well.
"But, Anne. You were..."
Ryan wasn't given the chance to complete whatever words he had to say, as Anne cut him off abruptly. "Spare me those trash as words, Ryan." She blurted out in a sharp yet blunt voice. "After you promised to have every of your asset with my name on it as well, you went behind me and had them changed to yours again."
Ahh, right! Ryan could lucidly recall what had impelled their unending arguments and frustrating escapades for months. Anne had bluntly told him to his face to let her have her own share of his assets.
He had requested the reasons for her blunder talk, and she had replied to him with, "I want to sell them out because I need to raise funds for myself." She had told him then.
Ryan had thought he heard her wrong but considering the look on her face, he realized she was not in for a joke and that she meant her words.
It hit him hard on a face, and it felt it stung more than being given a slap -it was the least he expected from her. He only had both of their names on his assets to prove how much he had loved her then, this wasn't part of what he had pictured at all!
Ryan, afraid he was going and may repeat the same mistake as in the past, had called his lawyer and asked for a change of name on his assets. It was easier than he thought because the documents were yet to contain Anne's thumbprint and signature -else, he knows for sure, he will be forced to bend to her request.
Anne was angered at the realization and for breaching his promise, Ryan had her take over his funds instead -he did not expect her to reduce him into nothing but a ruin! His bank card went red in a few weeks, and he was left with nothing to finance his business and yet, Anne won't stop being on his neck.
"You were in charge of my money in compensation for it." He countered, blurting out his words. "Stop making me look like the bad guy here, Anne, when all the fingers are clearly pointing at you."
"Oh, right!" She scoffs in disgust. "I'm the bad guy here. I always act irrational with no good reasons for my acts, is it not?"
"Look here, Anne." He vocalized, doping his words out. "I'm sick and tired and can't keep up with your attitude anymore. I'm desperately in need of a break from you -I desperately need one."
"Oh, yeah! I see you do, Ryan." She muttered in a gruff tone, irritated by his choice of words. "This must have been the reason you've been frantically searching for Ciara."
Ryan could not believe his ears, did she just sprout those words out? He doubts. If she really did say the words, how was she able to find out about it...?
