After a while, the elevator opened.
Patrick was not surprised that Sean dragged another guy with him.
"Come in."
Patrick glanced at the two of them and didn't stop Stewart.
"Where's the woman?"
Stewart looked around with eager eyes.
"This is Fittro Club, and there are plenty of women downstairs. If you want a woman, tell Christine and ask her to bring you one."
Patrick said unhurriedly.
Sean cast a glance at Stewart as if he was saying, "Are you an idiot?"
"Patrick, this wasn't the woman you were talking about, right?" Stewart and Sean followed Patrick to the bedroom and saw a woman lying on the bed.
They took a closer look and thought, 'Isn't she Gloria who was sent to prison by Patrick?'
Sean's expression had a subtle change, but he didn't say anything so bluntly as Stewart did.
Though he was as surprised as Stewart.
"Check on her. See if she is alright," Patrick ordered.
Sean was befuddled. He crouched before Gloria to check on her.
Sean untied a button on her shirt.
"What are you doing?" Someone quickly grabbed his wrist and shouted.
Sean looked up and met Patrick's cold eyes.
"I need to check her heart rate," Sean explained.
"Then why do you need to unbutton her shirt?" Patrick complained.
"I'll use the stethoscope to check her heartbeat." Sean was speechless since Patrick had never acted like this before.
Patrick let go of Sean's hand. Sean was about to continue what he was doing.
However, Patrick stopped him again and said, "Let me do it."
Sean and Stewart looked at each other. Both of them were at a loss.
"Is this okay?" Patrick suddenly asked Sean.
Sean paused and hurriedly said, "Yeah."
What choice did Sean have but to say yes?
"She is fine. She suffered from shock. That's all." After Sean finished checking, he joked, "Alpha Patrick, you really care about her, right?"
Stewart shuddered and turned to Sean.
"Sean, we still got work to do in the pack. I guess we should go now. Plus, I am hungry. Let's grab a bit first."
He added through the mind link, "Bro, we should go before Patrick gets mad."
Stewart wondered, 'Does Sean not know about the issue between Patrick and Gloria?
Gloria killed Gabrielle. Gloria was the daughter of Alpha of the Silver Spring Pack, but Patrick sent her to prison anyway.'
Everyone knew how much Patrick hated Gloria.
How could Sean ask such a stupid question?
Sean thought differently. He smiled. "Alpha Patrick, do you want to know her secrets?"
Sean was a doctor of the pack. He looked as if he didn't take anything seriously, but he was quite a capable man.
He noticed Gloria's health problem during the check-up.
Patrick narrowed his eyes. He looked at Sean seriously and said, "No, I don't."
He muttered inwardly, 'Gloria's secret?
Even if Gloria has a secret, I'll be the one to know it first, not Sean!
Is Gloria so close to him?' For no reason, Patrick felt agitated.
"Since you're hungry, go get something to eat," Patrick said.
"Let's go, Sean." Stewart grabbed Sean and pulled him into the elevator.
"What are you doing?" In the elevator, Sean glared at Stewart. "If you want to leave, then just go. Why do you take me with you?"
Stewart was mad at his attitude. "Come on, I was trying to save your ass! What did you just say to Patrick? Were you telling Patrick that he was in love with Gloria? Don't you know how much Patrick hates Gloria? Just look at the poor woman now. Does she look anything like she was before? As the daughter of the Alpha of Silver Spring Pack, she was famous in Gabbs. Any Alpha would want Gloria to be his mate. Even Gabrielle was no match for Miss Carter. But look at her now. Can you still recognize her? How can you possibly think that Patrick is into her?"
Sean exhaled and said, "You know nothing about it."
Stewart was not convinced. They argued while leaving the club.
In the room on the top floor, Patrick stood by the bed and looked at Gloria.
He wondered what Gloria's secret was. He did not know it, but Sean did.
He would look into it. Just as he was about to mind link his subordinates, Gloria moved.
"Mica, don't go," Gloria said softly with her eyes shut.
Patrick's face turned cold.
He pinched Gloria's chin.
The sudden pain woke her up from her nightmare.
She opened her eyes and saw a handsome man looking at her. She didn't know what was going on.
The voice was like a nightmare that she could never get rid of. Patrick shouted in rage, "Look at me! Do you see who I am?"
Patrick was furious.
He roared in his heart, 'Was she calling Mike? When did she get so close to Alpha Mike?
Since when did she hook up with Mike?'
"It hurts..." Gloria frowned.
"Hurt?" Patrick sneered. "Gloria, trust me, I'm gonna make you suffer!
"Now, look at me! You're lying on my bed, yet you called another man's name! Mike? Are you that close to him?"
