The Rebirth of My Dead Billionaire Wife

Chapter 136

Ch. 136 / 300 Apr 25, 2026

Alessia paced her office, her heels clicking against the hardwood floor. Her mind raced with a hundred thoughts, all tangled up in the aftermath of Christian’s confrontation. It had left her emotionally drained and more stressed than she’d been in months. The argument, his accusations, the weight of it all—it was too much. She rested her hand on her belly, taking a deep breath.

She was startled when her phone buzzed. It was a text from Theo:

“Be ready at 6 PM. I’ve got something planned to help you relax. Trust me.”

Her brow furrowed. What could he possibly have planned? Knowing Theo, it could be anything, but the intrigue was a welcome distraction.

At exactly 6 PM, Theo’s car pulled up outside her house. He stepped out, wearing a casual linen shirt and sunglasses that made him look like he’d just walked off a magazine cover. Alessia, dressed in a comfortable summer dress, greeted him with a raised eyebrow.

“You look relaxed,” she said, her tone teasing. “I thought this was supposed to be about me unwinding.”

Theo grinned, walking over and opening the passenger door for her. “It is. But trust me, by the end of this, you’ll feel like a new person.”

“Cryptic,” Alessia replied, climbing into the car. “I’m intrigued.”

When they pulled up to a private airstrip, Alessia’s jaw dropped. Parked on the tarmac was a sleek, white private jet with gold accents. The setting sun cast a warm glow on its polished surface, and a small team of staff stood ready to assist them.

“Theo,” Alessia said, turning to him with wide eyes. “What is this?”

He gave her a sheepish smile, scratching the back of his neck. “You’ve been through a lot lately. I thought you could use a break. So… we’re going to Bali.”

“Bali?” she repeated, her voice a mix of shock and disbelief. “You’re taking me to Bali?”

“Just for a few days,” he said, his tone casual but his smile proud. “I figured some sun, sand, and relaxation would do you good. Plus, I couldn’t let you keep stressing out like this. It’s not good for you or the baby.”

Alessia stared at him, her heart swelling. “You’re unbelievable.”

“Is that a good thing or a bad thing?” he teased.

“Good,” she said softly, before leaning in and kissing him. It wasn’t planned, but in that moment, she couldn’t help herself. His thoughtfulness, his effort, his unwavering support—it all overwhelmed her.

Theo blinked in surprise when she pulled back, a wide grin spreading across his face. “Well, I wasn’t expecting that, but I’m not complaining.”

“Shut up,” Alessia said, laughing as she swatted his arm. “Let’s go to Bali.”

The interior of the private jet was as luxurious as Alessia had imagined. Plush cream leather seats, gold accents, and a menu of gourmet snacks greeted her as she settled in. The large windows offered breathtaking views of the tarmac as they prepared for takeoff.

“You really went all out,” Alessia said, looking around in awe.

Theo shrugged, sitting across from her. “Nothing’s too much for you.”

She rolled her eyes but couldn’t hide her smile. “You’re spoiling me.”

“That’s the point,” he said, smirking. “Now relax. We’re about to leave all that stress behind.”

The flight itself was smooth, with Theo keeping her entertained with stories and banter. They dined on fresh fruit platters, artisanal sandwiches, and decadent chocolate mousse, all served by an attentive flight attendant.

“So,” Theo said, leaning back in his seat. “What’s the first thing you want to do when we land?”

Alessia thought for a moment, then smiled. “Honestly? Lie on the beach and do absolutely nothing.”

Theo chuckled. “That’s the plan. But I’ve also booked us a villa with a private pool. Just saying.”

“Of course, you did,” Alessia said, laughing. “You’re ridiculous.”

“And you love it,” he quipped.

She shook her head, but her laughter was genuine. For the first time in days, she felt lighter.

When they arrived in Bali, Alessia was immediately captivated by the tropical beauty surrounding her. The air was warm and fragrant with the scent of flowers, and the sound of waves crashing in the distance was soothing. Theo guided her to a waiting car, which whisked them away to their villa.

The villa itself was breathtaking—a private oasis surrounded by lush greenery. The infinity pool sparkled under the moonlight, and the open-air design of the villa allowed the warm breeze to flow freely.

“Wow,” Alessia said, stepping onto the deck and taking it all in. “This is… perfect.”

Theo came up beside her, slipping an arm around her waist. “You deserve perfect.”

Alessia looked up at him, her heart full. “Thank you, Theo. For all of this. For thinking of me.”

He smiled, pressing a kiss to her forehead. “Always.”
