The Rebirth of My Dead Billionaire Wife

Chapter 150

Ch. 150 / 300 Apr 25, 2026

The living room was strewn with catalogs, color swatches, and Pinterest boards pulled up on Alessia’s laptop. Avery’s first birthday was less than a month away, and Alessia was determined to make it as magical as possible. Her little girl had been through so much in her first year, and Alessia wanted to celebrate her resilience, joy, and the love that surrounded her.

“Do you think it’s too much to have a live petting zoo?” Alessia asked, looking up from her laptop with a serious expression.

Theo, sitting on the couch with Avery on his lap, looked up with raised eyebrows. “A petting zoo? For a one-year-old who can barely walk?”

“She loves animals,” Alessia countered, folding her arms. “Remember how she lit up when we took her to see those baby goats last month?”

“She also tried to eat one of their tails,” Theo said, smirking. “I’m just saying, maybe tone it down a little. She’s not going to remember this day—you know that, right?”

Alessia sighed, her determination unwavering. “It’s not just for her. It’s for us, for the family. And for all the pictures she’ll see when she’s older.”

Theo chuckled, bouncing Avery gently on his knee. “Alright, Queen of Party Planning, what’s the theme?”

“Fairy tale garden,” Alessia said instantly, her eyes lighting up. “Think pastel colors, twinkling lights, and little flower crowns for the kids.”

“Sounds… elaborate,” Theo said, grinning. “But also very you.”

Alessia spent the next few days finalizing the guest list. It was a delicate balance between keeping it intimate and including everyone who had played a role in Avery’s life. Immediate family, close friends like Pamela and Zane, and a few of Avery’s little friends from their mommy-and-me group made the cut.

She decided on handmade invitations shaped like butterflies, each one featuring soft watercolor designs and a touch of glitter.

“These are gorgeous,” Pamela said one evening as they sat at the dining table addressing envelopes. “But seriously, Alessia, do you ever do anything halfway?”

“Not when it comes to Avery,” Alessia replied with a smile, carefully writing Theo’s mom’s name on an envelope. “This day has to be perfect.”

Pamela smirked. “You know Zane is going to complain about having to wear a flower crown, right?”

“Zane can deal,” Alessia said, laughing. “Or he can sit in the corner with no cake.”

The backyard was going to be transformed into a fairy tale wonderland. Alessia worked with a local event planner to bring her vision to life: a canopy of string lights, pastel balloons shaped like flowers, and tables draped in soft pink and lavender linens. Each table would have centerpieces featuring tiny fairy figurines nestled among fresh flowers.

Theo walked in one evening as Alessia was sketching out ideas for a DIY photo booth.

“What’s this?” he asked, peering over her shoulder.

“A photo booth setup,” Alessia said, showing him the design. “I’m thinking moss walls, oversized paper flowers, and maybe a ‘Happy Birthday, Avery’ sign in gold letters.”

Theo chuckled. “You’ve thought of everything, haven’t you?”

“Of course,” she said, grinning. “Avery only turns one once.”

The food was just as important as the decorations. Alessia wanted a mix of dishes that the adults would enjoy and kid-friendly options for the little ones. She worked closely with a caterer to create a menu that included:

-Mini sliders and chicken tenders for the kids.

-Caprese skewers, smoked salmon canapés, and a charcuterie board for the adults.

-A dessert table featuring macarons, cake pops, and cupcakes decorated with edible flowers.

And, of course, the centerpiece would be Avery’s birthday cake—a three-tier creation with pastel ombré frosting, tiny sugar flowers, and a golden “1” topper.

“What flavor are we going with?” Theo asked one night as Alessia debated between options.

“Vanilla with strawberry filling,” she said decisively. “Light and classic. Plus, Avery loves strawberries.”

Alessia also wanted to ensure the guests left with something special to remember the day. She decided on personalized goodie bags for the kids, filled with bubble wands, mini plush toys, and flower-shaped crayons. For the adults, she chose small jars of locally made honey, tied with ribbons that matched the party colors.

“Okay, these are adorable,” Pamela said as they assembled the favors one weekend. “But I have to ask—are we going to have actual fairies at this party?”

Alessia laughed. “No fairies. But there will be a surprise.”

Pamela raised an eyebrow. “A surprise?”

“You’ll see,” Alessia said mysteriously.

Theo, for his part, helped wherever he could. He hung string lights in the backyard, tested the speakers for the soft playlist Alessia had curated, and even endured a trip to the craft store to pick up last-minute supplies.

“You’re a saint,” Alessia said, kissing his cheek as he lugged a box of decorations into the house.

“I’m just trying to keep up with you,” Theo replied, smiling. “But I have to say, this is going to be amazing.”

Even Avery seemed to sense the excitement, giggling whenever Alessia held up one of the tiny flower crowns or showed her a new decoration.

“You’re going to love it,” Alessia told her one night as she rocked her to sleep. “It’s going to be the best day ever.”

As the day of the party approached, the house buzzed with activity. Every detail, from the decorations to the menu, fell into place. Alessia felt a mix of exhaustion and exhilaration as she stepped back and admired the progress.

“This is it,” she said to Theo as they stood in the backyard the evening before the party, the twinkling lights casting a magical glow. “It’s everything I imagined.”

“It’s perfect,” Theo agreed, wrapping an arm around her waist. “Just like you.”
