The Rebirth of My Dead Billionaire Wife

Chapter 122

Ch. 122 / 300 Apr 25, 2026

The boutique was bustling with women chatting, trying on gowns, and twirling in front of mirrors. Alessia stood in the center of it all, staring at a rack of dresses with a look of uncertainty on her face. Pamela, on the other hand, was on a mission. She held up one gown after another, tossing aside anything that didn’t scream “showstopper.”

“You need to look hot,” Pamela declared, holding up a floor-length black gown with a plunging neckline. “Like, jaw-dropping, heart-stopping hot. Alessia rolled her eyes, her hand resting lightly on her growing belly. “I’m not trying to make a statement, Pamela. I just want to feel comfortable.”

Pamela gave her a sly smile. “You can be comfortable and hot at the same time. Trust me, I’ll find you the perfect dress.”

After an hour of searching and rejecting Pamela’s more daring suggestions, Alessia’s eyes landed on a stunning red gown displayed on a mannequin near the back of the store. The silk fabric shimmered under the boutique’s soft lighting, and the off-the-shoulder design perfectly balanced elegance and allure. It had a high slit that would give her some freedom of movement and a fitted bodice that flattered her figure while accommodating her growing belly.

“This one,” Alessia said, pointing to the dress.

Pamela turned, her eyes lighting up. “Yes! This is it. Red is your color.”

The sales associate brought the gown over, and Alessia disappeared into the fitting room. When she emerged, Pamela gasped. “Oh my God, Alessia. You look… incredible.”

Alessia turned to the mirror, smoothing the fabric over her hips. The dress hugged her curves perfectly, and the rich red tone brought out the warmth in her complexion. “It’s a bit much,” she said hesitantly, glancing at the daring slit.

Pamela swatted her arm. “It’s perfect. Trust me, no one’s going to notice anything else at that ball. Pair it with the right mask, and you’ll be unstoppable.”

After some debate, Alessia chose a matching red mask adorned with delicate gold detailing. The combination was bold, striking, and completely out of her comfort zone—but she loved it.

Back at home, the excitement in the air was palpable as Alessia and Pamela got ready together. Pamela had chosen a sleek emerald-green dress that complemented her fiery personality. She adjusted her mask in the mirror, tossing her hair over her shoulder. “We’re going to be the hottest pair at this ball,” she declared, winking at Alessia.

Alessia, seated at her vanity, added the finishing touches to her makeup. Her hair was styled in soft waves that cascaded down her back, and her lips were painted a deep crimson to match her dress.

Victoria entered the room, carrying a small velvet box. “Alessia,” she said softly, her eyes glistening with emotion. “I want you to wear this tonight.”

She opened the box to reveal a stunning diamond ring that sparkled like it held a thousand tiny stars. “This was your great-grandmother’s,” Victoria said. “She left it for me, and I’m passing it down to you. It’s a family heirloom, meant to symbolize strength and resilience. You’ve shown so much of both, and I couldn’t be prouder of you.”

Alessia’s throat tightened with emotion as Victoria slid the ring onto her finger. “Mom, it’s beautiful. Thank you.”

Victoria kissed her on the forehead. “You deserve the world, sweetheart. Now go out there and shine.”
