"Bye, Jez," the girl smiled goodbye to the friend as she stopped the car at her apartment.
Jezreel kissed her cheeks. "Bye, sweet heart. Let me know when you're in Bulacan, huh? Text me from time to time, I need to make sure you're safe."
Astreille giggled sweetly before hugging her best friend. "Ayana's waiting for you outside, look. And promise, I'll be really careful, master."
Her best friend chuckled with her tone. It ruffled her hair before tapping her gently on the shoulder. He looked at the bride from outside the car.
"I gotta go. See you tomorrow. I still have to act because I still have boyfriend duty," she said smiling while raising both eyebrows.
Astreille frowned with what she heard from Jezreel. "You are a girl, eh, how did you become a boyfriend?"
"I'm a girl, but a man's heart, sweet heart," he replied while raising the corner of his lip. Jezreel just kissed her forehead gently before getting out of her car.
Astreille first waited for the friend to enter his apartment with his girlfriend. When he was sure that everything was in order, he started the car again.
Fortunately, their commander let him go home early to rest. He also finished the work assigned to him immediately so it allowed him.
She slept straight 3 hours because she would have to travel a long way to get to her auntie.
She just sighed heavily before resting her back at the car's seat. This is gonna be a long ride.
TARANTANG Astreille braked when the car turned in front of him. She panicked when she saw how expensive that car was.
She looked around to see if there were other cars around them, but it was early in the morning so she didn't see any other cars around.
Though his hands were shaking he forced himself to get out of the car to see the damage he had done. Why is it that he was floating while driving, this would not have happened.
She took a step back when the owner of the car got off. He could not see its face because apart from all the black it was wearing, it was also wearing a black mask that covered the lower part of the man's face.
The girl noticed how the man observed the first part of his vehicle where there was damage. When he turned to her, their eyes immediately met causing Astreille to get cold.
She was stunned as she looked into the man's eyes, his eyes were different colors conveying fear and nervousness to him.
Even with trembling hands he forced himself to speak. He bowed his head several times. "S-I'm sorry, I'm really sorry. I'm really in a hurry to drive. I'm sorry."
He didn't answer, the man just stared deeply at him which made the roar of the girl's chest even louder.
He was swallowed several times. "I'll just pay for the damage. S-I'm really sorry, I'm in a hurry so I need to leave. This is my calling card, just call me if you need anything done. "
She handed him her calling card. She held her hand because she didn't want the man to notice the trembling of her hand.
The person in front of him still did not answer, he could do nothing but take his palm and put a calling card on it himself.
"S-I'm really sorry, don't put me in jail, please. I'll really pay for all the car repair expenses. K-My uncle needs to be operated on," he explained tearfully.
He didn't know how many times he had apologized for it, the important thing was that he could go to the Hospital because his relative needed him.
"Go."
She seemed to stiffen when she heard the man's cold voice. The girl could not speak for a few minutes due to fear.
"P-Po?" she managed to answer back.
"You can go," it repeated.
Astreille smiled in delight before embracing the man. "Thank you, thank you very much."
He slipped out of here before bowing his head. "Just call the number there, I'll pay the expenses. I'm really sorry for the inconvenience."
The man did not answer again so he stepped away from it. She immediately went inside her car. The mysterious man also got into his car so the girl took an oath. He drove the car again to go straight to the Hospital where his auntie was.
To this day her heart is still pounding as she remembers that man. His presence can make someone faint.
He wanted to die earlier while facing it. His deep voice and his eyes, those are scary. Only now had he been scared like this in his whole life.
Who's that guy?
"ATE Astreille!"
She opened her arms to welcome her cousin, Marie, for a hug. She closes her eyes when the child is tied up. She misses her family so much because she's longing for this.
"Marie, how are you? How are you feeling right now?" he asked.
The child wiped the tears from her cheek. "A-It's okay, Ate Astreille. Mom, she's the only one I care about, including dad. I don't want to see them having a hard time."
Smiling, Astreille stroked her cousin's hair. "Your dad will be fine too, huh? Just trust me, Marie. I'll be right here. I'll take care of all your bills, okay? We just need to pray for your dad to be fine."
Marie nodded before hugging him again. Astreille gladly accepted it before embracing her cousin. He knew it was hard, especially since Marie was still young.
He had to show that he was strong in front of them. Because they have nothing to draw strength from, if not each other.
