The Chosen Luna: Alpha’s Unwanted Daughter

The Forces Collide

Ch. 405 / 790 May 05, 2026

The werewolf stronghold buzzed with tense preparation as the Vampire King’s army marched closer. From a ridge overlooking the battlefield, Isla and Draven surveyed the scene, their faces grim.

Their forces stood ready below—wolves in their human and wolf forms, each bracing for the impending attack. The scent of sweat and fear mingled with the cool night air.

Lyra stood beside Cassian, her fingers brushing the Mating Mark on her chest. Its faint glow reminded her of the bond she shared with him, but it did little to calm the storm inside her.

Draven turned to them, his voice steady despite the tension in his tone. “This is it. We hold the line, or everything we’ve fought for is lost.”

Cassian tightened his grip on the hilt of his sword. “We won’t fall,” he said, his voice a growl. He glanced at Lyra. “Stay close to me. I’ll keep you safe.”

Lyra nodded, though her jaw tightened. “I’m not afraid.”

The sound of drums echoed through the valley as the Vampire King’s forces arrived. The shadows seemed to ripple around them, an army of vampires and Shadowbound creatures stretching endlessly across the horizon. The King himself stood at the forefront, his armor gleaming like obsidian and his crimson eyes scanning the battlefield with cruel intent.

Beside him, his generals took their positions. Kaelis, the Blade Dancer, drew his twin swords with a flourish, the moonlight reflecting off the sharp steel. Solayne, the Shadow Weaver, lingered in the background, her dark presence spreading unease among the wolves. Thalric, the Blood Alchemist, held a vial of dark liquid, his smirk promising destruction. And Varik, the Brute, cracked his knuckles, his hulking form radiating raw power.

The tension snapped as the King raised his hand, and the first wave of vampires charged. The valley erupted into chaos as wolves and vampires clashed, the sounds of snarls, growls, and steel filling the air.

Lyra found herself at Cassian’s side, her claws unsheathing instinctively. Adrian appeared out of the fray, his movements precise as he deflected a vampire’s blade aimed at her.

“We stick together,” Adrian growled, positioning himself in front of her.

Cassian bared his teeth, his voice dripping with challenge. “Just try to keep up, vampire.”

The battle surged around them, but Lyra’s focus narrowed as she caught sight of a familiar figure at the heart of the chaos. The Vampire King watched from his elevated position, a faint smile playing on his lips as his forces pushed forward.

The wolves fought valiantly, but for every vampire they felled, another seemed to take its place. The tide was shifting, and Lyra felt the weight of their survival pressing down on her.

Above it all, the Vampire King’s chilling laugh echoed through the battlefield. “Bring me the twins,” he commanded, his voice carrying over the noise. “Alive.”
