Alisha's POV
"What do you mean?" Erma looked at me alertly.
"As the Luna of the Golden Crest, I, commanded you to kneel now!" I snarled with the Luna's tone.
Upon hearing my command, Erma's face was filled with reluctance, but she couldn't defy Luna's request. Slowly, she knelt down, glaring at me with a burning desire to tear me apart. "Archie will avenge me! Just you wait!"
I ignored her furious gaze. "Suit yourself. I'll be waiting for him."
With that, I grabbed Nova's hand and left the store. Erma roared behind us, unwilling to accept defeat. "Everyone knows Archie's mother is very dissatisfied with you and is already looking for a mistress for him to have a baby. Once I give birth, your days are numbered!"
Nova was furious. "You should take her out now while you're still Luna! She stole your husband and dares to threaten you! She's despicable!"
I shook my head and whispered to Nova, "I can't do it. Despite the ceremony between me and Archie, he hasn't marked me, and I don't have a wolf, so I can't fully exert the power of Luna. That's why Erma is so bold. When it comes to an actual fight, I have no advantage whatsoever."
Upon hearing my explanation, Nova's eyes revealed a hint of sadness as she embraced me. "Don't worry, I'll be with you. Everything will be fine."
I flashed a cunning smile. "No need to worry. Even though I can't beat Erma, I don't plan on letting her off so easily."
Curiously, Nova asked, "Do you have a plan?"
I shook the phone in my hand and said, "Do you remember that song Erma mentioned just now?"
"Of course! Love Story, the song you wrote. And it was us who sold it together! It's so unfortunate that Erma, the third wheel, stole it! Archie is completely devoted to her! If it weren't for her connection with Archie, her singing skills wouldn't have gotten her this far!"
Hearing that, a swarm of pain filled my heart. Yes, Archie held Erma in the palm of his hand, showering her with countless opportunities and propelling her to stardom. Meanwhile, he paid no attention to me, not even willing to share a meal. I was such a fool, wasting my emotions in this disastrous marriage.
I squinted my eyes. "Since she stole my song, I won't be polite anymore." I logged into Twitter and retweeted Erma's previous tweet, adding, "I have no interest in collaborating with Erma. The song rights have been sold to @DM Entertainment, and I have no involvement in future matters. However, I don't believe Erma can do justice to my work. I feel sorry for my own creation."
After witnessing my bold move, Nova couldn't help but exclaim, "Alisha, you're so brave! Although it is so great to have her look bad on the net, I'm worried that her fans will attack you for it."
Nova's concern was not unfounded, and true to her words, shortly after I posted that tweet, Erma's fans came rushing in to attack me with their comments.
"Who do you think you are to say such things about Erma?"
"Erma is a star singer, and you're nothing. How dare you look down on Erma? It's truly disgusting."
"I used to like you, but now I feel ashamed for ever supporting you."
In response to this onslaught, my own fans started to counter-attack.
"This song was created by Theresa. As the creator, doesn't she have the right to evaluate her own work?"
"Erma was the one who first belittled Theresa. She deserves this."
"With Erma's voice, singing Theresa's song is like a dung beetle crawling onto a rose."
Amidst the heated clash between the two fan bases, something unexpected happened. DM Entertainment liked my tweet!
The gesture sent shockwaves through the online realm, sparking curiosity and speculation. What did this endorsement from the entertainment company mean? Could it be a sign of support for me and a blow to Erma's credibility? I never expected that DM Entertainment would stand out to support me! What happened?
Louie's POV
When I saw Erma's tweet, I couldn't help but feel a little upset. Her tweet made it seem like our company preferred Erma over Theresa, but in reality, our music director was captivated by Theresa's live audition and wanted her to be the one to perform.
Unfortunately, I arrived at the company later that day, missing the chance to meet Theresa in person. I had hoped to connect with her for future collaborations. However, Archie insisted on purchasing the rights to the song at a high price and gifting it to Erma. In truth, Erma was the thief in this situation. I couldn't understand why Archie insisted on giving resources to Erma. Wouldn't Alisha be angry about it?
Then, I recalled the recent rumors. It was said that Archie's mother was dissatisfied with Alisha and openly declared her intention to find another she-wolf for Archie to bear children with.
With these thoughts in mind, I felt it was necessary to care about my poor budy, Archie, so I picked up the phone and dialed Archie's number. "Archie, how is it going lately?" I asked.
Impatiently, Archie retorted, "What's the matter with you?"
"Well, I heard that you and Alisha's marriage has been going through some difficulties recently. I just wanted to show some concern," I replied.
"Who's been feeding you nonsense?" Archie angrily questioned.
"Specifically, your mother? Didn't she mention finding a new wife for you?"
"Pay no attention to her! Alisha and I are doing just fine. We don't need you worrying. She's my wife, and we made vows in front of Moon Goodness. No one can change that."
"Alright, I was just worried about you. After all, I always thought you'd stay single like me. Who would have thought you'd be pushed into marriage under your grandmother's arrangement? So when I heard this rumor, I thought you had a change of heart and wanted to go back to the single life."
"Get lost! Mind your own business! Things are good on my end, no need for your meddling!"
"That's good to hear. I'm still looking forward to our double date. My goddess and I are progressing well. Just make sure things don't go awry on your end!"
"Fuck! My wife and I have a great relationship too! Stop talking nonsense!"
After Archie hung up, I shook my head slightly. Suddenly, I noticed that Theresa had retweeted Erma's tweet and left a sharp comment. Theresa's words struck a chord with me, but I knew this action would likely upset Erma's fans.
I didn't want Theresa to be mistreated again because of this incident, so I disregarded Erma and Archie's relationship and called the company's executive directly, asking them to like Theresa's post and show our support. Even if it meant Archie would complain to me later, it was a small price to pay.
Before I could check the comments section, I received a message from Archie. I opened it and found a photo of a cake with a bite taken out of it. "This was specially made for me by my wife. Do you know how delicious it taste? A poor bachelor!" it read.
Archie, that guy, was truly childish!
Does he think that I would be jealous of him? Or he just wanted to show off?
But somehow, Alisha's figure appeared in my mind and I was looking forward to the meet with Theresa tomorrow.
