Morena
We finally arrived to alpha Luke’s office and he let go of me. He was followed by a man that looked similar to him but probably a few years younger than him, most likely his brother. And there was also another man who looked as stiff as a tree. His beta, I presumed.
A knock disturbed my train of thoughts and alpha Luke gave permission to whoever it was. Sion came in. he looked around the room and when his eyes landed on me and he immediately frowned.
“Morena, what did you do this time.” He exclaimed.
“Nothing.” I whispered softly.
“This does not look like nothing child.”
“What? I just took a sniff like I promised.”
A chuckle came out from the corner of the room. I looked up to see my mate’s younger look alike staring at me with twinkling eyes. He finds this funny in some way.
“Alpha Luke, it seems that this she-wolf is my mate.” And dear lord the god has spoken. He had this deep, gruff voice and I felt tingles all over my body for the mere words he said.
“I think everybody figured that out, brother. You literally yelled the word out as soon as you felt her.” My mate turned around and gave him a cold glare as if warning him not to interfere. His full gaze then turned towards alpha Luke who seemed to tense up.
“I think we should sit down and discuss the matter, alpha Leander.”
Okay, hold on a second. Did he just call him alpha Leander? As in the mysterious, cruel, not seen in ages alpha Leander. Oh, bloody hell. So much for taking a sniff. The moon goddess does not fancy me much, does she?
“I am afraid there is not much to discuss. The runt is apparently my mate. So, she will be coming with me.” Was he a damn robot? Why is he talking like he is programmed? And who the hell is he calling a runt?
“I will not be going anywhere without my sister.” I stated, feeling cheerless and all six pairs of eyes in the room turned towards me. About damn time they gave me some attention.
“I don’t think you have a choice in the matter. Unless you want a raging war between our packs. In which, I guarantee you none of yours would survive yourself included.” He said with his face a few centimeters away from mine and his nostrils flaring with apparent rage.
“You can’t force me to come with you, not without Rena. She is all I have. She comes or I stay. You are free to stay here if you want but I am not moving unless she’s with me.”
I looked up at him. He is not going to intimidate me. We are created to be equals.
He caught me up in his arms. “You are not leaving my side. Whether you like it or not, you belong to me now.” He said as his hold around me tightened.
I was getting dizzy by his proximity but I would not late it faze me. I will not give up on Rena.
“As long as my sister does not come along, I will never belong to you.”
“Leander, calm down and let’s discuss this.” His brother said as he placed his hand on my mate’s shoulder.”
“Asher, stay out of this.”
“We are not here to make trouble. You found your mate. Try not to kill her and her pack before you even get a good look at her man.”
He then turned towards alpha Luke as Leander took his hands off me but remained glued to my side.
“I apologize for my brother’s behavior. I am sure you are all aware how irrationally we think when we encounter our mates for the first time. The sister can join us if you do not mind, alpha Luke. I assure you she will he well protected and taken care of.”
Leander was now radiating pure rage. He definitely does not agree with his brother but I am thankful for what Asher did. I would have risked the war he threatened to rose if still insisted on refusing Rena.
“We will discuss this behavior later, Asher. As for now, I don’t think you have a problem with us taking both of them with us right, alpha Luke?”
“No, she is your mate. She belongs next to you. If she will be well protected then I don’t see why not. How soon do you want to leave?”
“Tonight.”
“What?” I practically yelled as I gave him an incredulous look. “What the hell do you mean by tonight? I can’t even pack my stuff by tonight. Let bid my farewells. God knows when I will get to see them again.”
“I suggest you start doing those stuff right now because we will be leaving tonight whether you like it or not, mate.”

Rena was not happy that we were leaving but I couldn’t leave her behind and she understood why. She would definitely stick with me no matter what. We came out of the packhouse. The place that has been our home since forever. Leaves were rattling in the wind and the smell of wet wood, the smell of home. I wonder if I will get to feel this again. My mate does not look that promising to me.
I caught sight of him near a black car. He was staring daggers at the ground and he seemed tense. Asher was leaning on the vehicle talking on the phone. The third guy, whom I assume was Leander’s beta was already on the driver’s seat. Alpha Luke, Sion and luna Eve were out there as well.
Leander was the first one to notice us, from my smell no doubt. He approached and took my and Rena’s suitcases. We struggled to get them down the stairs but it looked like they were feathers as he carried them to the car. We approached the group and all three of mt pack members regarded me with what seemed like sympathy.
Luna Eve was the first to come forward. She hugged Rena and whispered something in her ear. She then turned towards me, her lips turning into a thin line. “Take care of yourself and of Rena. If you need anything don’t hesitate to call me. And behave yourself, Morena.”
It was then alpha Luke’s turn. He told me the same thing and insisted I be on my best behavior. I then glanced towards uncle Sion. Rena was already clinging to him with a teary face.
“Morena, Dana and the kids wanted to come but they weren’t allowed to.” He said arching a brow towards alpha Luke.
“it’s okay, uncle Sion. Tell everyone that I’m sorry we didn’t bid our goodbyes. Besides, I still have my phone. We’ll talk as often as possible. It’s not like I’m waking to my demise, right?”
He gave me a look. “Right, uncle Sion?”
“Morena…”
“Let me guess. Behave! Right?” I said with the brightest smile I could muster. I went closer to hug him when I heard a low growl. I turned to see Leander giving me a look.
“I am trying to hug the man who helped raise me, mate.”
“We are getting late, mate. Get in the car. Now!”
