Mated To The Devil's Son

Book 2: Chapter 19

Ch. 92 / 125 Feb 08, 2026

Jenny's Pov

"Let go of my fucking arms," I cursed as Josh continued to drag me away from Alaric's room. His grip was tight on my hands, and I could sense that he was really angry with me.

I had been avoiding him for the past few weeks as I didn't want to have to give him any explanation and was thankful for the fact that he was always around the prince, shielding and guarding him. He's such a loyal man, but it's painful to witness what love has made him do to the one person he swore his life to.

"You're hurting me," I wailed. His grip was tough against my skin as he dragged me into a storeroom that happened to be soundproof; perhaps he didn't want the prince to hear our conversation.

"What are you up to, Jenny?" He asked with a stern voice as he locked the door behind him.

"What do you mean?" I asked with a gentle smile on my face, Perhaps I can charm my way out of this situation once more.

"Don't fucking act like you don't understand what I mean," he growled, his fists clenching.

"I honestly don't." I lied. It's either he wants to know why I was shamelessly throwing myself on the prince or he wants to know about Lenora's disappearance. I knew that I would be his first suspect as he had once caught me poisoning Lenora, but Camille had claimed to be the kidnapper, so I doubted that anyone would want to point a finger at me.

"Don't tell me you're behind everything that has been happening in the pack," he inquired, as I furrowed my brows in confusion.

"Why would you say that to me and why would you doubt me? Camille clearly confessed, yet you chose to accuse me." I cried as I turned to look away from him, waiting for the moment that he would bring my face back to his and apologise for accusing me. After all, he's still in love with me.

"Just fucking stop with the pretence, Jenny." He roared as he forcefully dragged my arms to face him, and for the first time since I knew him, his eyes weren't gentle but were sending warnings to me as his eyes flashed a bright shade of blue. On a normal day, blue was supposed to be a cool colour, but right now, it felt as if his eyes could make my body explode into a thousand pieces.

I've always heard that Betas have the brightest blue eyes, but it's said that whoever happens to see them might not survive, because their eyes only show that colour when they're angry and ready to fight. I couldn't fight with him because I had no skill compared to him. I would die.

For the first time in ages, my body trembled out of fear as I tried to divert my eyes away from him but couldn't bring myself to. I couldn't seem to take my eyes away from him as it felt as if my whole body had gone numb. Where was this sudden feeling of fear coming from?

"I can do really bad things to you," he threatened, with his grip still tight on my arm.

"Let go of my arm," I managed to say as soon as I was able to break free from his deadly stare, but he didn't budge.

"Please let go of my arm," I pleaded, but was shunned almost immediately.

"Are you behind Lenora's kidnapping?" He asked as my body froze. He definitely knows that I was behind her abduction, but why does he believe that I was the cause rather than Camille? I had thought that they would all believe that Camille was the one behind the abduction since Lenora disappeared not long after she appeared.

I had thought that I had erased every trace of suspicion that might come my way and had put in a lot of effort to bring the almighty Camille to her knees. I had never once liked her as she was always around Alaric and was one of the reasons why the prince never looked my way.

I thought that I might be killing two birds with one stone if I made her the bad person, and knowing the type of person Alaric was, I knew she wouldn't survive a minute with him after she confessed. He is hot-tempered and his beast always wants blood on his hands, and they didn't seem to disappoint me as I found her burning to death.

What was confusing was the fact that the prince said he already had Lenora in his arms and was keeping her safe. I had better send words to the demon prince to confirm, but I had trusted him to handle it well.

He wanted Alaric dead, but I didn't want that for myself, so I suggested that he start by taking Lenora away from Alaric and that I personally will bring Alaric to him; I knew he wouldn't stand a chance against Alaric if they ever met, but at the very least he'd help me get rid of Lenora for good.

I had happened to come across him when I wanted to sell some female wolves to him for money that I would be needing to carry out my plans. He wouldn't show his face to me because I was from Alaric and he wouldn't tell me his reasons for wanting Alaric dead. He was not important and once I can successfully confirm that Lenora was still with him, then I'll cut all ties with him and get rid of him soon. When Alaric would claim me as his.

"I am not behind Lenora's disappearance. Camille is," I replied. I knew he had no solid evidence against me and it was all just suspicions, but I still needed to clear myself of this. Abduction was a serious offence and it could be multiplied if I happened to abduct someone of high status like Alaric's mate and the future queen. I need to get my name out of his head.

"Stop with the pretence, or else.."

"Else what?" I asked with a loud voice, losing my patience with him. I was getting tired of him acting like he was also innocent and the perfect person.

"You don't want to know, trust me."

"Let me know what it is that you want to do with me that won't end up with Alaric killing you for being a traitor," I said with a grin on my lips the moment I saw his face fall. He was definitely reconsidering it, and this was my chance to use his loyalty to Alaric for my advantage.

"When will you understand that we are both in this together and there's nothing you can do to rat me out without your name being dragged too?" I added, I could sense the fear in his aura as he was now petrified. His eyes were no longer bright, but he was trying hard to mask his fear.

"I have nothing to do with you, Jennifer. I might have helped you out in the past, and maybe for my selfish reasons too, but this is too far and I am not going to cover you up. " He said it in a low tone, his eyes still fixed on mine. His courage was something I admired, but at this point, he seemed like he wouldn't mind dying. He was ready to give himself out, and Alaric was definitely going to believe him. What do I do?

"If you don't do it, then we'll both die," I threatened, hoping that he would change his mind. If he goes down, then I might as well go down with him.

"I am aware of that, but at least I would die being loyal to the prince and not a traitor who betrayed him." He answered as he took some steps away from me.

"Tell me where Lenora is," he ordered as his expression changed. There was no single trace of fear in his aura, but rather a strange one that gave off both pain and courage. He was willing to do anything for Alaric's sake, but why couldn't he just choose what he wanted and give up?

"Why don't you just forget about Lenora for once? You claim to love me, but if you truly loved me, then you would help me out rather than try to get both of us killed," I asked as my voice broke. Perhaps he doesn't work well with threats and wouldn't be able to stand me breaking down since he still loved me.

"I did love you and I have tried to help you, but at this point, you've gone too far and I can't help you anymore."

"Please," I begged, giving all I had in me.

"Jenny, I can't" He sighed, releasing a deep breath as it gave the sense of him trying to decide on what to do. He definitely still has feelings for me.

"Please," I begged again as I realised that arguing with him wasn't going to do any good and that this was the only way to get to his head.

He was quiet and wouldn't say any more words. I took this as a cue to get closer to him. I reached for his chest as I laid my head on his rock-hard chest and wrapped my arms around his waist. I had expected him to push me away, but he didn't look like he wanted to reject my advances as I continued.

Removing my arms from around his waist, I gently traced them on his chest as I slowly unbuttoned his shirt. His heart was racing, and I could feel his head fighting against his heart, but I continued.

"Kiss me, please," I begged as I leaned on my toes to reach for his lips. I waited some seconds to see his reaction, but when he didn't move, I took this as a go ahead as I connected my lips to his.

The moment my lips grazed on his, he instantly accepted the kiss and gave access for me to continue. His heart wouldn't stop beating fast as he devoured my lips, his tongue reaching for mine as his kiss deepened with aggression and lust.

I broke the kiss with a smile on my face. I wanted him as much as he wanted me. His chest was now bare as I placed a soft kiss on his chest and trailed my tongue around the most sensitive parts of his body. I knew he would respond to my touch sooner or later, and he didn't disappoint as he grabbed a fist full of my hair and dragged my head towards his zippers. I had gotten him right where I wanted, and he'll definitely rethink his decisions.

I don't mind selling myself to him shamelessly if it is what I have to do to have Alaric all to myself. After all, he also wasn't too bad in bed.
