Mated To The Devil's Son

Book 2: Chapter 27

Ch. 100 / 125 Feb 08, 2026

"I..." I stuttered, unable to form the right words out of my mouth.

"You're shocked, right?" He added,

"I knew you wouldn't say anything about it, and I knew you would bluntly reject me. Hell, I've kept these to myself because I didn't know how you would feel about them."

"Every time I see you, all I want to do is hold you tight, but I just can't. You belong to someone mightier than me."

"Is it really fair for me to keep seeing you and holding back the urge to want to please every inch of you?" He inquired, and I had no idea how to respond.

I had not expected his words to be these. I had not expected him to know about my true identity, but something in me wouldn't stop pushing the important thoughts aside as I stared at his face, taking in all of his pain and frustration.

I wanted to ease his pain. I shouldn't be doing this to myself and to him. I was mated to Alaric, and there was no way I would be able to give him what he wanted. There was no way that I would be able to fuel this feeling that we both felt, but I slowly found myself lost in his eyes, staring at his lips as he tried to control his breath.

He was now quiet, our bodies were closer than before, and his fingers trailed their way onto my skin. I could see the passion and lust in his eyes as he brought down my zips, tracing my back line until the dress fell off my shoulders, revealing my chest with only a bra covering my boobs.

"Simon," I softly said, with a gasp coming out of my mouth the moment I felt his lips on my shoulders, kissing and nibbling on my sensitive skin. Butterflies filled my tummy as they danced and rejoiced, making it hard for me to want something that wasn't what he was doing to my body.

His lips trailed their way to my neck, sucking them while his hands held my waist firm and tight but slowly found their way to my hip and soon to my butt.

My lustful desires were clouding my senses and judgement. I knew this was wrong, but it felt so right.

Pushing my body closer to him, I gave him access to do what he wanted with me. He was shocked, but his confusion only lasted a second, immediately turning to a burning desire. His slow approach immediately turned to that of hunger.

Without giving me a moment to breathe, he lifted me to the wall as I wrapped my legs around his waist. His fingers were slipping into my free gown and his lips were sucking on my chest while my moans flew around the room. I wanted him already. I wanted him to devour my lips and I wanted to feel every inch of him, but just when he was about to bring his lips to mine, guilt clouded my judgement and my senses returned as I shifted my head away from him.

"What's wrong?" He asked, cooing into my ear and tucking a strand of my hair behind my ear. I could feel my stomach knotting, but I didn't want to give in to a temporary pleasure that would leave me with a lifetime feeling of guilt.

"We can't do this," I replied, unwrapping my legs from his waist and bringing them back to the floor.

"Why? You want me just as much as I want you. " He asked through his breath. He was right. I wanted him as much as he wanted me, but I couldn't do this. I owe Alaric my loyalty, even if I were miles away from him. I know Alaric would not do the same to me.

"I'm not yours and I belong to someone else." I replied with the same words he said earlier. Seeing the disappointment on his face made me feel bad, but that was bound to be. I did not belong to him, and he and Skye obviously have something going on together.

I should have controlled myself rather than giving in to him and making him take the wrong signals.

"It's fine," he said, with a forced smile, even though I could see the pain in his eyes. He let go of my hands and brought my dress back up before attempting to zip it, but I didn’t want his hands to touch my bare skin, so I stopped him before he could do it.

"I'm sorry," I said, but he cut me off almost immediately.

"What did you need my help for earlier?" He asked while taking some steps away from me. I suddenly remembered that I had a serious issue going on and I was going to be in the presence of the queen and king in only a few minutes' time, but I still don't know how to go about the situation. There would be no point in claiming that I wasn't pregnant because they would run a test on me. I need someone to take responsibility for the child, someone from this royal bloodline, someone that I am close to and someone that I am willing to tell the truth about me to. Someone like Simon, but then, he already knows the truth about me.

"I need you to take responsibility for my child in the presence of the king and queen." I bluntly said, I knew it would be a hard decision for him because that would include him openly betraying his brother and could be punished by the king, but I doubt the king would punish him because he was the king's favourite.

"You don't know what you're saying," he replied, with an awkward chuckle.

"How?" I asked, totally confused.

"You can only get married to the next Alpha and King of Latvera because that is the only way the alliance would take place. If it happens that you are pregnant for me, then you will still be sent away to Edessa because you betrayed the reason for the alliance. "

"You can only ask the future king to claim the child," he added.

"But what if you become the future king?" I asked. It might sound crazy, but it was very possible. Simon was the first child of the king, and he could decide to be the king and would be granted the title because he was stronger and better than Holland in every way.

"What do you mean?" he asked.

"You could take Holland's position and be king..."

"Enough!" He shunned me, causing me to flinch. This was the first time he had ever raised his voice at me. I could not tell if it was because he was mad at me for suggesting him to be king or because of the awkward situation we shared earlier.

"How could you even say such a thing?" He confronted.

"He's my brother and I am not going to betray him," he added. I felt ashamed of myself because I knew that I shouldn't have said it. Holland is a nice person, and I shouldn’t have suggested dethroning him just because of my personal issues. He doesn't deserve it. He wasn't the reason why I landed in this situation, but there was honestly nothing that I could do about this situation.

"I'm sorry," I apologised with my head bowed, feeling ashamed of myself.

"If that's what you wanted to ask, then I can't help you." He said, reaching for the door and signalling for me to leave. He was really mad at me and I didn't know that he was that protective of his brother, who barely loves him.

"Please wait," I begged.

"What if we tell Holland that you're the father of the child and he should help us take responsibility? I promise it will be temporary." I begged, knowing full well that it was close to impossible because Holland hated his brother and would hate a thing like this more, but I could only hope that they both agreed to this, and then I would leave their lives faster than I had planned. Being in this place is becoming more awkward for me. I know Simon is probably mad at me at the moment, but it is my fault. I shouldn’t have said a thing like that. It was greedy and selfish of me.

"Do you plan on going back to your mate?" he asked, catching me off guard. I took some time to study his face before giving him a reply, because I could tell that he was not happy with the way his lips pursed and his brows creased. What I couldn't understand was whether he was still upset about my suggestion earlier or was upset about the fact that I would still have to return to Alaric.

"Yes, but how did you happen to know about me, about my mate and I?" I asked, hoping to get an answer from him as I was curious.

"It doesn't matter," he replied, holding my hands and leading me outside his room as we both headed for Holland's room.
