Mated To The Devil's Son

Book 2: Chapter 30

Ch. 103 / 125 Feb 08, 2026

Jenny's Pov

Something strange has been happening in the pack house recently, and I am not a fan of it. It seemed as if the prince was close to finding where his precious little bitch was, but I doubted he would find her. He would only waste his time looking for her because Anselm had made sure to get rid of her as soon as she got to him, but I could not stop myself from worrying over the fact that he might happen to find her alive. I might as well have to send words to Anselm and confirm if Lenora was truly gone or not.

It was heart-wrenching for me to have to watch him stressing over some little frail girl, but it was bound to happen and it was the only chance I had to get closer to him, to let him see my worth, but he kept pushing me away and the only words that came out of his mouth was the name of that rotten bitch.

Perhaps I had pushed myself too much and should have taken it slow with him, because at least then he would trust me and tell me all of his plans or ask me for any plan on bringing her back to him, and I always had a whim of what was going on in the pack house, but not anymore.

He changed. I no longer get to be close to him. He doesn’t tell me his plans, nor does he ask me anything. The one time I tried to ask him about what he was about to do, he threatened me for the first time. I was sad and had to leave the pack house to clear my mind of what he said to me. He probably didn't mean it and was only upset, but too bad for the young she-wolf that happened to die while crossing paths with me in a state like that.

Ever since he burnt Camille in those flames, I realized that a lot in him had changed, but what could have connected his sudden change to Camille's death?

The prince only spends his time alone in his room and is always with the puppy, Josh. Perhaps Josh would tell me something about what Alaric was doing if I pushed him to the edge a bit and threatened to reveal his secrets to Alaric. Of course, I would never do that because then I wouldn't have a chance to be with the man of my dreams, but he was just too loyal to his master and would do anything for his secrets to be buried.

"I should pay him a sweet visit," I muttered to myself. I walked towards the little drawer beside my bed and took out a little bottle of perfume that I had received as a gift from one of my admirers. It was made from one of the rarest flowers in the world and had a charming smell that would immediately make any man beg on their knees for you, but it doesn't work on the prince and only works for his personal guard. Unfortunately,

After spraying a small portion on my skin, I gracefully walked out of my bedroom and headed for Josh's bedroom, which was just two halls away from the prince's bedroom, and on getting there, I softly knocked on his door twice, waiting patiently for an answer, but nothing came.

"Josh, it's me," I said.

I knocked again and thought he might have not heard me knocking or called out to him, but the same thing happened and no one responded to my knock. I could smell his presence in his room, but there was also another scent that seeped through the doors, and I immediately recognized it as being that of a lady.

"Oh, I understand now. You're busy. I guess I should let you two be for now…" I tried to say, but before I could complete my statement, the door opened wide and I was met with the angry eyes of a stranger.

I could easily tell that she was a werewolf, and not only was she a werewolf, but she was also a maid. Her clothes spoke for her, but how dare she look at me in the eyes like that?

I was offended by the way she stared at me and tried to assert my dominance with my lycan aura, but it didn't work on her and her burning eyes wouldn't stop glaring at me.

"What do you want?" She asked, her voice fierce. I was too stunned to speak for some time and wondered if she wasn't scared of dying by my hands until Josh appeared and stood behind her with his arms wrapped around her waist, pulling her closer to him.

"Oh, this is what it is." I laughed.

"If you have nothing to say, then leave." She roared, dismissing my last sentence as I continued to stare at her, my smile fading and awe on my face. Is she bold or isn't she scared of her life? She might be confident because Josh is behind her, but didn't she stop to think of what would happen to her if she was alone?

She was getting on my nerves and I couldn't help but picture her screaming in agony while I break her bones apart whenever she would happen to be alone. Maybe in her next life, she would learn to be quiet when she is in the presence of her superior.

"Josh, can we talk alone?" I asked but was again shunned by the new witch.

"If you have anything to say to him, then say it to my face, you witch!" She cussed, my eyes widening in shock. Was she able to listen to my mind and insult me the same way I insulted her, or was this just a coincidence?

I have tried to be calm enough and I don't think that I have any patience left any longer. I can't stand a mere maid talking to me this way, and it was all because of Josh. She wouldn't have the audacity to talk to me this way if she didn't know something about me.

I have to get rid of her before she makes me lose the last strand of patience that I had, and I don't care about what Josh is going to do. He had no power to lay a finger on me, and I still had the upper hand.

"Okay, I'll leave now," I replied, while forcing a threatening smile at her, but her facial expression was still as stiff as when she first opened the door. She's bold and I like it, but she'll beg for her life on her knees today and I will not spare her.

She should have thought it through before messing with me. She was a maid, after all, and I just needed to know her work schedule before I dealt with her properly.

Without hesitating, I walked straight to the maid's quarters. I was going to meet with the head of all maids and request that brat's job post.

On getting into the maid's quarters, the room suddenly became silent as they all lowered their heads in respect. I was sure that they could sense the anger in my aura and wouldn't want to make me more offended, but how dare that girl look me dead in my eyes.

"What brings you here?" An aged woman walked forward.

"There's someone that I need to know about," I replied. She immediately brought a younger maid to listen to my descriptions until they finally knew who I was referring to.

"It must be Jasmine," the younger maid said,

"She's new," they added, but I had cut them off almost immediately. I wasn't interested in those stories and wanted to know where she worked, but after some time of waiting while the maids did research, I came to realised that she was in charge of cleaning Josh's room and would often do his laundry at the laundry room.

I knew Josh was bound to move on from me sooner or later, but I had definitely not expected him to stoop so low as to move on to a mere werewolf maid. It'll be too bad to have to get rid of her so soon, but at least he'll learn his lesson to control his flings around me. I am not someone that is to be messed with.

"Jasmine, or what is it?" I inquired the moment that I walked into the laundry room. I could tell that she instantly sensed my presence, but she completely ignored me while I smelled fear in the auras of the rest of the maids present in the room.

The other maids who were also in the laundry room with her were quick to sense my mood as they all scurried out of the room, leaving her behind.

"Are you also here to do your prince's laundry?" She said with a smirk on her face as she turned to me but immediately diverted her attention to emptying the basket of dirty clothes into the washer.

"Look here," I growled through clenched teeth, pulling at her braids till her face was close to mine.

"Don't try to act smart with me; you're just a maid and your life can end with the snap of my finger," I threatened, but what I didn't expect was for her to release herself from my grip in one pull and a slap to land on my face right away. Everything happened so fast that it left me stunned with no time to process what had just happened.

"Am I forgetting that you're also a maid who was sold to the prince from birth? Why don't you do your job and stop wasting your time here? " She said. Her voice was calm, but her eyes were burning with flames. Something was odd about her, but that thing that made her raise her hands on me would be the death of her today. No one had dared to raise their hands on me, and that was a dangerous line that she had just crossed. I definitely won't spare her.

"Did you just hit me?"

"Yes, do you want more?" She replied with a smug smile and proceeded to continue her laundry. At this point, I couldn't keep up with her disrespect anymore and decided to end her once and for all as I reached for her neck and grabbed it with my lycan strength.

"I'll make you regret ever stepping foot in this place," I threatened, digging my nails into her throat, but rather than her being petrified or begging for mercy like I thought she would, she still had a smug smile on her lips, and it was then that I saw something strange that was glowing in her eyes.

One side of her eyes glowed with blue flames, and the other with blue waves of the ocean. The moment I saw the blue glow in her eyes, my whole body started to burn from the inside, like I was drowning but also being burnt, as I immediately let go of her neck in agony.

I held onto my throat with both my hands as it felt as if it was being choked even though her hands weren't on me. My head felt like it was going to explode at any moment from now, and my insides wouldn't stop burning, making me screech in pain while rolling on the cold tiled floor.

"Who knew seeing you in pain would make me happy?" She chuckled.

Through the pain, I lifted my eyes to see her looking down at me with a satisfied smile on her face. The burning flames and angry waves in her eyes vanished, and the overwhelming pain that I felt stopped, but the pain that it already caused remained as I coughed for my life the moment the tight grip on my neck disappeared. She bent on her knees to bring her face to mine.

"Don't mess with my people." She cooed into my ear before standing up and walking out of the room. What had just happened?
