Araceli POV
It seemed that Valeria had gradually moved out of the closed world where it was just Krish and me.
There were now more people in Valeria's world: Essel, Mayra, Rhett, Maddox...
And, Raphael...
Just as the name came to my mind, at the door of the ward, a tall figure appeared.
I turned my head to look and met Raphael's deep eyes.
I smiled and said politely, "Mr. Lancaster."
Maddox stood up and said solemnly, "Mr. Lancaster, let me introduce you. This is Mr. Krish, this is Ms. Valeria, and they are Ms. Chancey's children..."
Raphael nodded calmly.
"I know."
Maddox froze. He hesitated, made an excuse and headed out of the ward.
"Maddox, where are you going? Did you forget that you have to feed me?"
Essel was on an infusion, unable to get a spoon to eat. She pouted and looked very cute.
I sat down on the edge of the bed and said, "Sweetheart, I'll feed you. But you can't be picky about what you eat."
Essel immediately nodded happily and opened her mouth.
"Mr. Lancaster, I have a question I would like to ask you. Can we go out for a chat?"
Krish stood up, walked over to Raphael, and said slowly.
I was a little puzzled, but didn't take it personally.
Krish and Raphael walked to the corridor in front of the ward.
Essel asked curiously while eating, "What does Krish want to talk to my daddy for?"
I was also a little curious.
However, Krish had his own secrets. I wouldn't pursue it.
I smiled and said, "Your daddy is a great computer expert, and Krish should also want to become as good as him."
Essel nodded and opened her mouth. "Ms. Chancey! Omelette!"
I smiled and nodded. "Eat more to get better faster. "
After a while, Krish and Raphael walked in.
Krish pursed his lips and frowned slightly, looking like he was thinking about something.
He pushed the door open and stood in the doorway of the hospital room.
"Mommy, I want to go home."
I was feeding Essel and froze for a moment.
"Baby, what's wrong? Wait another five minutes. We'll go home when Essel is done eating, okay?"
"I want to go back now."
Krish has rarely been this stubborn and has almost never been this willful in front of so many people.
I thought he was not feeling well, so I had to put the lunchbox in Raphael's hand.
"Mr. Lancaster, sorry. We have to go now."
Krish had already turned around and walked away. I took Valeria and went after him.
Behind me came Essel's cries from the ward.
"Daddy, you're so bad! You scared Krish away as soon as you arrived! Ms. Chancey and Valeria left too..."
I sighed and walked to the hospital entrance holding Krish and Valeria.
At first, I thought it was Krish who was not feeling well, but I now have a vague sense that it's not that simple.
I took Krish's hand and said softly, "Baby, did Mr. Lancaster say something to you just now?"
Krish pursed his lips and didn't say anything.
I knew he didn't want to say anything. But, he wouldn't have been so capricious to leave if he couldn't stand to stay in the ward with Raphael anymore.
I touched his head, squatted down, and looked at him.
Perhaps his mood was so low that even Valeria felt it.
Valeria stepped forward and gently tugged on his sleeve.
"Krish, I'm your mommy. You can trust me. Now can you tell me what just happened? What did you say to Mr. Lancaster?"
I looked at him seriously. "Can you tell Mommy what really happened?"
Krish was silent for a few seconds and said, "Mommy, the night before last, your company's website was hacked."
I nodded my head. "I know."
"The person who attacked Mommy's website was most likely Mr. Lancaster."
Krish's eyes were a little confused, but they didn't look as gloomy as they had just been.
I smiled, stroked his hair, and whispered, "It's not him. Baby, you misunderstood."
Krish frowned slightly, looked at me, and said seriously, "The hacker that night set his IP address to overseas in order to hide his whereabouts before attacking the company's official website. The IP address is in Royal Pack... It must be Mr. Lancaster!"
I shook my head.
"The hacker who attacked our website is indeed someone from Royal Pack, but it's not Mr. Lancaster."
Krish's eyes widened in some disbelief.
I said softly, "Actually, he's Essel's elder brother, and his name is Micah Lancaster. Mr. Lancaster has apologized to me in his place and is willing to pay for all the damages. Krish, let's not pursue this matter, okay?"
Krish pursed his lips.
"So his name is Micah. I met him before."
I was surprised. "Have you met him?"
"I once met him outside Essel's ward," Krish said, "Mommy, did he apologize to you personally?"
I thought about it, didn't say another word about it, took the two children's hands and said softly, "It's okay, Krish. I'll take care of it. Don't worry."
Krish nodded, relieved, and said, "Okay. Mommy, you have to be careful. Don't trust Mr. Lancaster."
On the way back, Krish was talking to Valeria and thinking to himself.
As I drove, I thought.
Micah's hacking skills were no less than Krish's, and he was a top hacker. But why was Micah's name not on the list of top offshore hackers?
...
We had just gotten home when Krish's phone rang a little and received a message.
"Mommy, I'm going upstairs to change into something else."
Krish went upstairs with a calm look and closed the door to his room.
