Raphael POV
I had only just gotten out of the car when I heard Essel's yelling from the house.
I frowned slightly, a little annoyed, and pushed the door open.
"What's going on?"
My voice was cold. I glanced at Essel and seemed to see her subconsciously shiver.
There had been a bit of a problem with Royal Group over the past few days, so the entire company was in a very busy state, including me.
I hadn't been home for two days.
As soon as I got back, I saw Essel and Micah staring at each other. I knew they were arguing.
"What are you guys arguing about?"
I pressed my eyebrows together and headed to the couch.
Essel bit her lip and confessed, "Daddy, I know why Ms. Chancey isn't coming to our house! It's because Micah secretly attacked Ms. Chancey's company, so Ms. Chancey is worried that Micah will hurt Vallie to do it, so she decided never to come to our house again!"
I frowned.
It had been almost a month since Micah's attack on Creaty Company's official website, and Araceli had known about it for a long time, so how could she be angry about it after such a long time?
I asked Royce before and he told me that Araceli was jealous of Melany.
However, I thought he was kidding to tease me.
How was this possible? I meant, Araceli didn't seem interested in me, although I was a little lost on that.
Araceli cared about the past between Melany and me. After all, Melany was the mother of my two children.
I couldn't cut off my children's blood ties with Melany in any way.
It was too cruel.
I was too busy these days to think about how to solve this matter, but now I could take my time to figure this out.
Tomorrow was the fifth review meeting of the project with Creaty, so I had to think about how to make this clear to Araceli.
"Daddy, why don't you say something?"
Essel came over to me and shook my arm.
"This has nothing to do with Micah."
I said calmly, "Your aunt's birthday party is coming up soon. essel, you'd better prepare a birthday gift for your aunt as soon as possible."
I finished and walked towards the second floor.
Essel clenched his fist, looked up and said loudly, "Daddy, I also want to have a company of my own like Micah."
I took a step and turned my head back. My eyes fell on Essel's body.
I said slowly, "When you finish your business administration course, you can take over a subsidiary company."
"Okay, Daddy. I'll study hard!"
Essel said with conviction, clenching her fist in front of her chest and looking at me confidently.
I smiled with relief.
I had been wondering before when Essel would be as understanding as Micah, but I didn't expect this day to come so soon.
Essel is my daughter, so how could she not be smart?
I went into the study and instead of working on various project files, I flipped through the information of Royal Group's various subsidiaries.
Royal Group was established more than two hundred years ago. Its subsidiaries had long exceeded several hundred, covering all walks of life, including entertainment, finance, minerals, and energy.
Each subsidiary was at a high stage of development and had a high profit margin.
I thought about it and carefully searched for the right industry for Essel.
Soon, it was late at night.
I washed up and went to bed.
It was quiet and peaceful outside the window. I soon fell into a deep sleep.
Vaguely, I felt as if I had a dream, but a dream so real that I wondered if it was a vision.
In the darkness, a gasp sounded.
The screams of the woman beneath me kept stirring my most primal instincts.
I seemed drunk.
My wolf kept telling me that she was my Luna, my destined lover. That's why I didn't hesitate to get closer to her.
Everything was because I couldn't resist her fatal attraction to me.
My brain was in a state of confusion, so I could only hold her according to my brain's desire.
A gust of wind blew.
The curtains of the bedroom were blown open by the wind.
A ray of light came through...
I slowly opened my eyes and saw the face of a stunningly beautiful woman.
Her face showed a blurred outline in the faint light, but I still froze at that moment.
She was too beautiful.
This woman was the same woman from five years ago...
It was a dream.
I realized that I was in a dream, but I couldn't wake up.
I opened my eyes as much as I could and stared at her face, still unable to see.
Little by little, I moved closer, smelling that all-too-familiar scent on her body. Suddenly, the face finally slowly became clear.
This face...
How was this possible?
I woke up with a jolt.
I opened my eyes and found that my clothes were soaked through. My forehead was also covered with sweat.
That dream was just too real.
After that night five years ago, I've never had a dream like this.
When I was just in the dream, the woman in my bed was actually her...
I actually dreamed of having sex with Araceli in a big hotel bed...
"Damn."
I got up, went into the bathroom, turned on the cold water, and rinsed my body.
The heat subsided a little. I was much more comfortable.
Slightly more awake, I suddenly thought again of that familiar fragrance of that woman...
Five years ago, the woman I had a one-night stand with had that same scent.
Although Araceli and Melany are sisters, their scent should be different, right?
I was thinking frantically and couldn't stop.
Could it be...
A thought came to mind.
Once this thought appeared, I couldn't get it out of my mind.
That night five years ago...
I immediately took out my phone and searched for news.
There was a lot of news about Araceli. Press releases and articles related to that incident five years ago are still posted on some websites without being removed.
I quickly skimmed through all the relevant news, growing incredulous...
I dialed out a phone number.
The phone rang for a long time before it was answered.
An angry voice came through. "Raphael, are you crazy? What are you doing calling me in the middle of the night?"
"Royce, do you remember what happened that night five years ago?"
"Five years ago?"
Royce mumbled under his breath and got up, "Fuck, are you really not going to let me sleep?"
"Five years ago, a woman was sent to my room. Do you remember who she was?"
"Are you serious? Raphael, that woman has given you two children! But, to be honest, I don't know who that woman was back then. Can you tell me? "
I pinched my eyebrows.
It seemed that Royce also did not know who that woman was back then.
The woman in my dream was Araceli.
Araceli and Melany were sisters and did look a bit alike.
Was it possible that I was thinking too much?
I said slowly, "Can you help me get the security camera footage from five years ago?"
"What do you need this for?"
"Just tell me if you can."
"Maybe I can. I'll ask my secretary tomorrow."
Royce yawned.
After the call hung up, I stepped out onto the balcony.
That night five years ago, a woman was sent to my room after I got drunk.
Could she really be Araceli?
