Lexi's Savage Mates

Chapter 33 I Miss You Too

Ch. 33 / 109 Apr 06, 2026

Allen looked up from his laptop as the door to his room flew open and Lexi came bounding in, depositing a large paper bag on the stack of files that he had piled next to him and grinned at him broadly.

He raised his eyebrows a Greyson who followed behind her, shutting the door and hanging his coat back on the hooks as he faced him.

"She wanted to grab you brunch or something." Greyson shrugged, throwing himself back on the bed with a contented sigh.

"Will you just open it!" Lexi squealed, hopping from foot to foot excitedly as she watched his face expectantly.

"Did you really buy me breakfast?" Allen chuckled as he reached for the bag and slowly opened it, reaching in and unloading the array of food items on the desk,

"It's not breakfast, it's brunch Jacky boy." Lexi rolled her eyes impatiently as Allen froze and scowled at her.

"Who the fuck is Jack?" He demanded as Greyson growled possessively behind her as she looked between the two of them incredulously.

"Oh fucking come on! All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy?" She intoned looking at them both expectantly as she waited for the realization to hit, but when it didn't she sighed heavily as the angry expression didn't fade from their faces, "You two are fucking hopeless. It's just a fucking saying that the human's use when someone is always at work and doesn't take time for themselves! It's an expression for god's sake!"

"The only expression you'll be getting from us when you mention another male's name in our bedroom is an angry one." Greyson snapped.

"Shut it robo-dick." Lexi snapped as his lips pressed into a tight line, "See? This is why mixing with other races and species outside of your packs is so fucking important." She muttered, snatching the paper bag off the table and damping the rest of the contents out.

"Was that necessary?" Allen asked, his eyebrows raised.

"Well, you spoiled the moment with your fucking stupid male wolfyness Jacky-boy," Lexi grumbled.

"Don't call me that."

"Why?" Lexi smirked, "Now that I know it pisses you off, I think I like it even more than Beta-boy."

"Just... both of you stop." Greyson sighed, "Let's not escalate this ok?"

"He started it!" Lexi protested, pointing at Allen accusingly.

"I would never!" Allen blustered with a look of outrage as Greyson pinched the bridge of his nose.

"Why do I feel like I'm suddenly in charge of two overgrown children?" He muttered under his breath before sighing deeply and lifting his gaze towards them.

"Allen, say thank you and eat your fucking bench,"

"It's brunch actually," Allen corrected sullenly as Greyson turned to Lexi.

"Bench, brunch, whatever. And you, Lexi, don't you need to check in with Ann?"

"Don't think you can be ordering me around and telling me what to do.."

"I said 'enough', Lexi." Greyson growled, stressing the word as he stood and approached her as she shrank back against Allen's desk, "Or do I need to punish you for being a bad girl, hmm? I can promise that you won't enjoy it half as much as I will…"

Lexi swallowed nervously as her stomach flipped in excitement.

"Just so you know…talking like that only makes me want to ignore you more," She smirked, before sighing dramatically, "Unfortunately for you, my fine ass needs to call my bestie and tell her what absolute imbeciles you both are."

She could hear them chuckling as she walked away, intentionally swaying her hips a little more with each step just to rile them up a little more and judging by their heated stares as she pickedher phone up and settled back on the bed, her little ruse had worked.

She pointedly ignored them as she flicked through her phone until she came to Ann's name and hit the call button.

"Lexi! Oh my days I thought you'd never call!"

"Sorry Queenie, I've been a little busy."

"You couldn't have dropped a text or something? I thought something terrible had happened!" Ann's voice, thick with emotion caught in her throat and Lexi clicked her tongue disapprovingly at her.

"Cool your beans mama bear, I'm all good…well, apart from the overly ridiculous antics of my mates of course." She lifted her eyes at the sound of their huffs of displeasure and stuck her tongue out in their direction.

It was juvenile, but the sight of their incredulous expressions was worth every second.

"Listen, there's some stuff you ought to know…"

Lexi gave Ann a play-by-play of the events at the Crystal Pack so far and detailed her concerns about Greyson's brothers as well as the threat that the Lycan kingdom posed.

"Just so you know, Brad will probably be visiting at some point to discuss this…I'm sure it's just an excuse for his wolf to check on you and make sure that you're okay."

Ann sighed heavily on the other end of the phone and she could hear the irritated mumblings of Adam in the background.

"Sorry for the background ranting, I put you on speakerphone and..well, you know..male wolves and their possessive angst."

"Yeah I know all about that..." Lexi smirked as Allen and Greyson tore chunks out of the sandwiches in their hands and scowled at her meaningfully.

"Well, there's not a lot we can do about it for now. I do want to make sure that the baby is safe though."

Lexi could practically see Ann chewing her lip thoughtfully and she chuckled.

"I'll tell him to bring his mother and the baby too. Hopefully by that time he'll have got a name for the poor mite"

"Ok well, once you're done with the final recommendations with the defenses for his pack, then you three should head home. We have plans for the Dark Moon Pack that you three are most likely going to be integral to, but I want to discuss it with you face to face first." she added cryptically.

"Oooo! More intrigue and mystery? Our lives haven't had enough of that just lately." Lexi teased as they both giggled.

"I really do miss you Lexi." Ann said suddenly, her voice choked with tears as she sniffled down the receiver and Lexi's heart pulled painfully too.

"I miss you too Queenie... you and your sassy little wolf." she whispered as her voice broke, and she reached up to wipe a tear from her eye.

"I've allocated you a room at the Palace…just so you know. I intend to have a wing built for you and your boys. You don't have to live here but it's there if you need it... no pressure at all." Ann rushed out quickly.

Lexi sat in silence for a moment as her heart felt as though it might burst. She didn't trust herself not to bawl like a child who just lost their favorite toy so she said the few words that she could manage before they ended the call.

"I'll be home soon. Take care of yourself Ann."
