My 5 am alarm goes off and I quickly dive to turn it off before it wakes the kids. I did have all 3 of them in my bed last night and I was planning on sleeping on the floor next to the bed but then Jack came in on his way to bed and took Brody into his room with him so I slept in the bed with the girls.
I switch the alarm off and sit up before looking over at the girls and my heart instantly stops. Where's Sophie? I quickly surround Katie with pillows so she can't roll off the bed and run out of the room to find my little girl however my panic soon turns to curiosity as I hear low giggles coming from downstairs. "Sophie!" I turn toward the stairs and call again "Sophie where are you, baby?"
"Wivingroom Daddy!" She calls back and I instantly feel relief.
"Sophie what Have I told you about coming down here by you- oh hi Molly!" She's sitting on the floor playing with Sophie and I don't like it. I don't know her and right now I don't trust her.
"I wanted a play pwincess with Molly she likes em to Daddy!" She says all excited and I have to stifle a smile at how cute she sounds right now. I walk over to her and get down on my hunches so that I'm in front of her and talk low and calmly.
"That's really nice baby but you know you're not allowed out of my bedroom in the mornings without me o an adult don't you huh?" She nods her small head as she puts her thumb in her mouth and cuddles her Ariel doll.
"I'm sowwy daddy but I was wiv molly!" Awe bless her heart the way she sounds when she talks always melts my heart.
"It's ok baby. Now, how about we go and get you dressed and you can come to say good morning to Elsa with me yeah?" She nods excitedly as I knew she would, she loves to come and check on the horses with me in the mornings.
"How come your up wandering around the house so early anyway?" I properly sound harsher than I need to but it is what it is right now.
"I wasn't wo-"
"I woke Molly Daddy!" Sophie shouts out to me but I'm not so sure she did.
"You woke Molly?" I ask her gently.
"Yeah I wanted a play with my pwincess dolls so I woke Molly, Daddy, I wanted a play with agirl!" I instantly feel myself softens up after hearing her words but still, I can't change the look that I know I'm giving Molly.
"Ok let's go get dressed and Daddy's going to get that new gate up today so you're not wandering around the house in the morning again."
I look at Molly one last time before leaving, I have a few choice words on my tongue for her but I bite them back not to do that in front of Sophie and instead head upstairs with my girl to make sure my other girl is ok while thoughts of how today will go enter my mind.
When I left Amy's yesterday I left a note letting her know that I had the kids and to call me when she was home, I haven't heard from her yet and I'm hoping it's because she got home and choose not to call rather than the alternative because the alternative means she's still not back and they would still be on their own.
I also called my solicitor yesterday but he was out of the office so he should call today and I've not heard of social services yet either so today's going to be interesting that's for sure but one thing I know is my kids ain't going back to her, no way ain't happening!
As soon as I've got myself and Sophie dressed Katie starts waking up full of smiles as always. She's so much like Sophie was as a baby always happy and content barely crying. Brody however was a little shit and loved a good cry! I laugh to myself at the precious memories but then feel myself get angry again at Amy. How could she do this to them?
I shake myself off my angry thoughts and concentrate on the girls as I finish getting them ready to go and see the horses. As we step out of my bedroom so do Jack and Brody from across the hall.
"Good morning Daddy!" He beams and as always my heart swells, it does whenever I get called daddy and I don't think it'll ever change nor do I want it to.
"Good morning son,"
"Good morning princess," Jack chimes out as he bends down and scoops Sophie up. "Good morning bubble bum," He then chimes out to Katie as he gives her a little tickle causing her to giggle out.
"How are you up so early?" I ask Jack not even hiding my shock. We all have the same time alarms set but usually, only me, Callum, and my parents actually get up to them. We don't usually see Jack until at least 7 and it's even later if he's been out and got himself laid the night before and the same goes for Zack. aside from working on my parent's farm I also own the local bar and my brothers and I all share the workload between there and here so whoever works late and locks up the pub gets a free pass the following morning on getting up early.
"My alarm went off and we decided to go and say good morning to Nemo, I take it you are off to see Elsa?" He asks looking at Sophie. She shouts out yes and squirms to get down so that she can run ahead through the house with Brody.
"So what's the plan, Christian?" He asks me suddenly serious.
"Barlow was out of the office yesterday but his secretary said she'd leave him a message to call me this morning and I'm expecting to hear of social services at any moment."
"I take it you haven't heard from Amy yet?"
"No, but I'm starting to get a little worried about her, what is if something has happened to her?" I hate her for what she's done to these kids but she's still their mother and I wouldn't want them to be without her at all
"I was thinking the same last night."
"If there's no word from her by tonight we'll call it in and start searching for her," He nods agreeing with me.
"I'm in you kn-"
"There's no need to worry Amy is just fine!" Zack walks towards us as we're just about to walk down the stairs and he looks pissed, seriously pissed,
"What do you mean?" I already know I'm gonna hate whatever he says.
"Here, look at these!" He hands me his phone that's on Amy's social media page and there are tons of pictures of her that she posted last night of her out at some club looking completely at her face! FUCK
"Bitch!" Jack spits out. "So what's the plan brother?" He asks me, his voice still laced with anger.
"When Barlow calls me today I'll tell him I want full custody of my kids. They ain't going back to her. If they want to see her they can but it will be supervised!" I'm fucking furious but trying with all I have to appear calm not to scare Katie.
"Dam right they ain't going back to her!" Zack shouts and as always I'm proud of how much my brothers love and protect my kids.
"What about this one?" Jack asks as he gently rubs Katie's hair before taking her from me.
"She stays here too, I'm fighting for all of them!"
