" You fucking what?! Since when, and why didn't you tell me!" Ellis boomed, getting to his feet. I only sighed. I knew he would react this way. I rubbed his chest gently, hoping it would calm him.
" Someone was watching me at the border, and they emailed me. Telling me how refreshing it was for them to see me there," I informed them. Zeyneb and Luis checked the picture and the flowers. Luis dashed outside, probably to talk to security.
" Love, this is serious," Ellis growled. He was upset as his lips turned into a frown. The card wasn't signed.
" Could it be David?" Zeyneb asked.
" No, I have tabs on him. He spent yesterday trying to get in your pack," Luis answered, walking towards us. I raised my eyebrows,
" Why did David want to get in the pack?"
" He wanted to see Charlotte," he answered. And just like that, it dawned on me. They were working together to separate us. Ellis reached that conclusion as well as he growled.
He pulled me closer to him and buried his face in my neck. He inhaled my scent.

It had been two days since the attack on the border. There were no traces of the stalker. Ellis and Luis were exhausting every possible resource to find them.
Ellis' and I's bond was getting more assertive with each passing day. I was basking in it. We are both stronger now.
The next day was the day of my introduction party. It was the day I was officially introduced to other high-ranking members as the Luna of the Grey Lycan Pack. Not all packs did this, but the Grey Lycan Pack was one of the largest and wealthiest packs in the realm. Many alphas would be in attendance along with their lunas and betas. My father would be in attendance too.
" I think we should leave now. I miss the twins," I sighed. Zeyneb and I had finished buying my dress for the party. We had been to five high-end stores since she didn't like the customary dress made for me for the introduction. The color ' beige washed me out,' she said. I wanted to look my best since it was my party.
" Okay, can you try one more?" she pouted,
" No, this dress is gorgeous, and I'm tired," I said.
Zeyneb had a serious shopping addiction. She groaned and gulped her wine.
As we walked to the car, I felt a pair of eyes on me. Goosebumps appeared on my skin, and I looked up to the second floor.
My eyes met a pair of curly red hair. Her eyes were angry as she glared down at me.
I felt cold, so cold.
" What is it?" Zeyneb asked,
" That woman on the second floor," I muttered. Zey turned, but the woman was gone.
For the rest of the trip home, I kept thinking of the woman I saw.
We went to the manor. We went straight to the backyard. Everyone was having a barbecue. My kids were playing in the pool with Margret's children. They were enjoying themselves. I went straight to my mate. He was already waiting for me. He cupped my face and leaned in to kiss me. I parted my lips as my hands slid up his back. He deepened the kiss. I whimpered in his arms.
" Get a room!" Lilac shouted, pulling from Jace's arms. I smiled and stuck out my child towards her like a child. Ellis caressed my cheeks.
" Did you manage to get a dress?" he asked.
" Yes. While I was there, I saw a woman watching me eerily. It gave me chills," I told him.
I didn't want to hide anything from him from now on. Ellis' body stiffened.
" I'll have someone watch you 24/7 henceforth. You know what, I'll guard you myself," he said seriously. I shook my head. Sometimes, he forgot how strong I was.
" Ellis, you're an alpha to a large pack. You can't be following me around. Plus, I already have security. As we speak, they are looking for information about the woman I saw at the store. I gave them a description of her," I informed him.
He nodded reluctantly.
I slammed my lips against his and kissed his frown away. I turned and gave him my back. He embraced me, his nose buried in my neck. I felt tingles appear on my skin. Vee purred in delight. I smiled as I watched everyone enjoying themselves. Michael was busy with his mate, gossiping as they snickered discreetly. They did that a lot. Zeyneb was with Luis, playing table pool not far from us, while Jace and Lilac talked and hugged. They were happy about their new kid.
At this moment, everything seemed perfect. I pushed the wary feeling I had at the corner of my mind. Was this the calm before the storm?
Ellis sensed my thoughts, and he held me tighter, " We are okay. We will be alright."
I woke up in the morning feeling refreshed. I turned to the other side of the bed to find Ellis was gone. I went to take a shower. I wore a dress and boots, pulled my hair in a bun, and went downstairs.
We decided to spend the night at the manor as it was too late to go home.
" Cay, son, give it back to your sister," I heard the voice of CC from the living area. I entered the living room. My kids were sitting on the large fluffy opening presents as CC watched them fondly.
" Good morning," CC smiled at me, and I bent down to kiss her. My children avoided me as they were busy with their new presents,
" Presents?" I gave CC the eye. I hated that she spoiled them a lot.
" Well, it's their birthday in two days. Why not start early," she beamed, handing Solara a customized doll with her features. My daughter gasped and smiled.
" She looks like me. Thank you, Granny,"
I left the three at their gift opening and went to Ellis' office. He was busy with his beta. They were looking through some documents.
" Good morning, Luna," Jace greeted me. I felt blood rush to my cheeks.
I hope I will get used to that title. Jace went to the exit. My gaze met my handsome mate's. I went over to him. He lifted me easily and sat me down on his desk, so we were at the same eye level. I put my hands on either side of his shoulder. His grey eyes pulled me in.
Ellis pulled me closer to him, and his fingers slid down my dress. The butterflies in my stomach were churning.
" What do you have planned for the day before the party?" he asked, kissing my leg.
" I was thinking of visiting some pack members. Zey, shared with me some concerns in the pack, and I want to help find solutions," I said.
His face was now mere inches from me. He was distracting me.
" Okay," his voice was deep.
His grip tightened on my waist. I placed my palm on his chest. If I didn't leave now, we'd do something that would take hours to finish, and I wanted to go in the pack right now. I tugged his hair so that he was looking at me. He grunted.
I smirked and kissed his lips. He wasn't ready to pull away. When I did, a growl ripped from his mouth.
" I should go," I bit my lips, teasing him.
" No," he whined. I jumped off the table when a loud knock startled me. Ellis looked at the door angrily.
" Go the fuck away," he boomed. I chuckled.
However, the door opened, and Michael walked in. He greeted me and waved some files towards his alpha.
" Alright, I'll see you later, babe," I said. My mate was still brooding when I left the office.
" You have to come now?" I heard Ellis' voice as I walked away. My phone tinged. I received an email. I was wary to open it, but I did. It was from my stalker,
