I was excited after being marked by Aerys. Our connection was stronger. I wanted to be by his side every hour. And I was happy to be part of the Chasia family. After the lovely brunch we had. My mate took me around the pack. It was extravagant and a show of wealth—no wonder they were known for their notoriety.
They had about five packhouses, and Aerys already took me to two. The members weren't rude to me, but I could tell they were shocked that I was a human. A human mated to their powerful alpha. I noticed that some people were taking pictures of us secretly. Aerys didn't seem to mind. I'm sure he was used to it.
Some girls who weren't pleased with me sneered and snickered However, I didn't react to them. They were jealous that a human was mated to the alpha.
" You are popular with the girls around here," I muttered, hiding my jealousy.
" Are you jealous?" his eyes glinted with amusement.
" No way!" I answered quickly, my tone higher. He only chuckled and held my hand. He took it to his lips, making my heart skip a bit.

" Where to next?" I asked. We drove around for hours. Aerys showed me the historical buildings and his favorite places in the pack.
" At the manor, we need to say goodbye to my parents and go home," he told me. I missed home.
After we said goodbye to Chasias, we headed back home.
" My mother wants to throw a huge party to welcome you officially into the pack," Aerys informed me.
" Is a party necessary?"
" Yes, the whole pack needs to know you even though your pictures are the trending topic," he said, showing me his phone. I scrolled through it. Indeed, they were different pictures of me... us. Everything we did today was recorded. They were articles.
" I look cute in these," I said, being cocky.
" You are the cutest," he smirked. I read through some of the comments. Oh boy, most were not happy that I was human. They thought their alpha deserved better.

My mood was sullen as I read more of these, and noticing this, Aerys grabbed the phone from my hands. I looked out a window. I didn't think the negativity would affect me as it did. " I'm sorry," Aerys suddenly whispered. I glanced at him and forced a smile on my face.
" It's normal for them to worry. At least, most of them think I'm beautiful," I tried to make light of the situation.
He seemed relieved to hear me say that. A few minutes later, we arrived home. He opened the door and kissed my lips softly.
" Are you alright?" I saw concern in his gaze.
" I am, baby," I assured him. He kissed my forehead gently, his lips lingering. I smiled and wrapped my arms around his waist. He held me.
" Some comments stung a little," I confessed.
" I know, my love," he whispered.
I was glad to be vulnerable and let him know how I felt. He held me as long as I wanted.
He held my hand as we made our way inside. We found the guys watching football in the living room. They were too focused to notice us. I pressed an index finger on my lips to tell my mate not to make a sound. I grabbed the remote on the armrest and changed the channel next to Coswell. Cusses and growls erupt as everyone searches for the remote. That's when they saw us.
I waved the remote in my hands and changed to the football channel. Tonga heard the commotion, descended downstairs, and jumped into my arms.
" I saw the pictures and the mark! Congratulations, guys!" she exclaimed. She was very energetic.
" Thank you," I smiled. The five boys also commented on it. They were congratulating us. Coen just gave us a small smile. He still had a crush on his alpha. It was cute.
" We should celebrate!" Coswell said. I nodded, and he rushed to get a bottle of champagne from the kitchen. The boys went all out drinking their whisky. We all ended up passing out.
I woke up early the following day to make everyone breakfast since they were still sleeping. I went to the kitchen and spent two hours making a delicious breakfast. I was making myself coffee when someone cleared their throat. I turned to the door. It was a pretty redhead girl wearing a tight dress that one would for a child, with thick makeup and tall heels. I knew immediately who she was. One of my mate's sluts.
" What are you doing here?" she sneered. I narrowed my gaze at her and took a sip of my coffee.
" What does it look like I'm doing here," I retorted. The girl knew who I was as I was wrapped in the alpha's scent, and I carried his mark. Also, I was the trending topic in the pack news.
" Why are you in this kitchen, human? You're not welcome!" she hissed.
" I'm making breakfast for my mate. And I'm welcome," I pointed at my mark proudly. She looked disgusted with me. I was calm while she was seething with anger.
" Don't get too cocky. You're a filthy human, and he'll leave you soon!" she shouted.
"Oh, I can't with these sluts," I sighed, getting bored with her. From the way she was speaking, I could tell they were close. And it hit me. She was his main whore, the one Yorna warned me about. Liace Yule. I felt jealousy coursing through me. My eyes flashed, and the bitch took a step back.
" Y- You need to leave this place! No one will accept you. You're below us!" she shouted, though not confident. I clenched my fist. Below them? I was a Princess. I had fucking abilities and would quickly kill this woman without batting an eyelash.
" Listen bitch! My name is Liace Yule. My father is high ranking, and I'll be Luna, not a lowly human like you!" she screamed.
" Liace!" I heard a growl tear through the room. My gaze shifted towards Aerys. He was fuming. I glared at him.
" Babe, forget what she said. Liace is clearly delusional," he said, coming to my side.
" Aerys, you can't seriously have marked this... This human! She's weak and just human! How do you- " I couldn't hear her stupid voice anymore. I punched her in the face. Blood oozed from her nose, and she stared at me with a shocked expression on her face. I went past her. I hadn't realized everyone was watching. I went straight to my room without saying a word to anyone. I started packing my bags. The door opened a few minutes later, and Aerys entered.
" No, no. Baby, I swear she didn't mean anything to me. Please don't leave me," he said. He was panicking.
" How many more women will come? You should let me know so I prepare myself!" I hissed sarcastically, throwing all my shirts in one of the suitcases.
" Baby, I'm sorry," he grabbed my wrist, stopping me from packing. He looked vulnerable. He thought I was leaving him. I wasn't going to leave. I was only packing my bags to move to his room since everything was new.
I sighed, " I'm moving into your room, dummy,"
An ear-splitting grin formed on his face. " You're staying with me, baby?"
" Yes," I answered. I was too annoyed to smile. I couldn't look at him without remembering that girl in the kitchen.
" I think I need to take a walk," I mumbled. " Alone," I added before he could say anything.
He said nothing when I opened the door and left him there. I needed to hunt. I went into the woods, absentmindedly thinking about what happened earlier this morning. I was so annoyed. Removing all the memories of Liace, I focused on hunting. I saw a deer. Carefully, I approached it and pounced on it. My fangs extended and bit into its neck. The blood felt so good in my mouth, yet not as delicious as human blood,
