Hector's POV
The most breath-taking scent filled my nose overloading every nerve in my body, my wolf Bryant was pouncing around in my mind. Our mate was near, we knew it shouldn't have been possible until we turned eighteen which wouldn't be for another year but that wasn't to say finding a mate early didn't happen. As excited as I was at finding my mate I was in love with Athena. Bryant felt conflicted as he to had grown to love Athena yet the prospect of having his fated mate was overwhelming. Letting curiosity get the better of me I followed the scent which had taken me outside. There I saw Athena and prayed the scent was coming from her but as I embraced her my heart sunk knowing it wasn't hers.
"Mate" Bryant purred causing my eyes to snap in another direction, standing there was Vanessa.
She looked just as shocked as I to find we had been fated together. I couldn't stand her; she may have been my sister's best friend, but she was also Athena's sister. The woman that single handily destroyed the woman I loved. Vanessa was one of the she-wolves many males would fight for the chance to be with, but not me. I had no intention of completing any kind of bond with her.
"I Hector Hall, son of the Beta to the Moonlight Pack hereby reject you Vanessa Anderson daughter to the Alpha of the Moonlight Pack"
As the words left my lips Vanessa and myself fell to the ground, she screamed in agony while I held my chest. My heart felt like it was being ripped out as my end of the mate bond shattered, ceasing to exist. As quick as the pain had come, it had disappeared only proving it wasn't a strong bond.
"NO... HECTOR WHY?" Luna Angel ran to her daughter's side while Alpha Jake never said a word which stunned me, I had half expected him to sucker punch me or even beat me half to death but nothing. He just stood like a statue; it was the first time in my life I had ever seen the Alpha this still.
Bryant suddenly stopped his whimpering as another scent came to us catching us by surprise. My eyes snapping in the direction of Athena, there was no mistaking it. Getting a second chance was rare, but to find one within seconds of rejecting your fated, now that was never heard of. I walked to Athena pulling her to me as my lips smashed with hers, the sparks of our bond prickling my skin with the heat I had always hoped to feel. Bryant howling with happiness no longer hurting, now content and calm. His passion to protect his mate washing over me.
"It's you... It's always been you, Athena. I love you"
"NO GET AWAY FROM HIM" Vanessa screamed as she rose to her feet using her mother as a standing aid.
I watched as tears fell from her eyes seeing me embrace her sister after rejecting her mere moments ago. Karma certainly was bitch and she had been served.
"Accept my rejection, Vanessa. I don't want you I am also fated to Athena and her I will not reject" Athena's eyes shot to mine, a light sparking within them knowing she would now be loved without the fear of being hurt. There was a darkness inside her and knowing she is now my mate; I would do anything in my power to erase it.
"You and her? What could that whelp possibly offer you that I couldn't. Look at her you know better than anyone just how damaged she is. You are making the biggest mistake of your life Hector" The way Luna Angel looked at Vanessa for calling her sister a whelp there was no doubt she would go unpunished for her remark.
"And who the fuck do you think is to blame for that. You have tortured her for years. I will not let you hurt her anymore" I could taste my hatred for Vanessa in my words as I turned away from her leading Athena indoors. "Oh and Vanessa do not call her a whelp again"
Knowing Vanessa, there was no way she was going to roll over and accept my rejection. She was used to always getting what she wanted but this time, she wouldn't be. I planned on marking Athena the first chance I got and if Vanessa hasn't accepted the rejection by then, she would be in agonising pain. You see with wolves if you haven't accepted a rejection by the time your fated mate takes another then that wolf would feel an unbearable pain each time their lost mate was being intimate.
"We have a lot to talk about Hector, let's go to my room because for what I'm going to say we will need a lot of privacy" I could tell she was anxious, that what she needed to say wouldn't be easy.
Athena told me all about getting her wolf, that she was a guardian and that we had another mate. To find out he was male literally blew me away. Athena said she had rejected him for sleeping with Vanessa but that he rejected her rejection declaring that he would fight to win her back. My blood was boiling at the thought of sharing Athena with another, I was straight always had been always would be. Something however was nagging at me, I just couldn't for the life of me put my finger on it.
We sat and talked for well over an hour before we found ourselves cuddling on her bed. We laid there in comfortable silence, Athena's head on my chest as I rested my head on hers inhaling her scent while holding her close to me. The sparks that danced along my skin made it hard to focus for all I could think about was completing the mating process with her. Not going to lie I was nervous as hell and that's probably why we just laid here not one of us making the first move. Athena had been the only girl to ever catch my attention, no-one else ever came remotely close. Athena pulled me out of my thoughts as she moved her head looking up at me, a big smile on her face. This had been the first time for as long as I can remember seeing her smile so seeing it, I knew she was happy. Gripping her chin, I pulled her face towards mine as I gently kissed her. My tongue tickled her bottom lip waiting for her to give it entry, the moment her lips parted my tongue shot inside taking the chance to roam every inch. Goddess she tasted amazing; I had never tired anything so sweet. Keeping our lips locked in sync Athena straddled me snaking her arms behind my neck only to deepen the kiss. Coming up for air she looked at me with those beautiful blue eyes before reattaching her lips to mine. My hands travelled up and down her back by themselves freezing in place as I began to smell Athena's arousal. My cock grew hard clearly shocking Athena as she pulled away a nervous look on her face.
"We don't have to do anything you're not comfortable doing. I'm happy just holding you" I assured her best I could. She was a fragile girl so scaring her or pressuring her wasn't something I was going to do.
I had expected Athena to hide away from me as she was usually one to become easily embarrassed but she didn't, instead she pulled her top off before kissing me again. I pulled her closer to me as I moved my kisses down her neck to her chest. Undoing the back of her bra I watched as her perfectly shaped breasts hung on her chest. Taking one in my hand I gently massaged it while taking the other in my mouth flicking the nipple with my tongue. The scent of her arousal grew stronger telling me I was doing something right. She groaned as her hands found themselves entangled in my hair only to pull my head back up to meet her lips.
"I want you to mark me Hector... I want to be yours completely"
Athena's POV
Butterflies were dancing in my tummy at the thought of Hector taking me fully making me his for all of time. I scared myself at the lust filled tone in which I told Hector to mark me. I had never wanted anyone as much as I did him, not even Axel even though I had rejected him I knew it wasn't the end a part of me ached for his touch.
"Are you sure? We can wait Athena, there's no rush. I want our first time to be perfect"
"Our?" I asked him confused.
"Yes ours. I'm a virgin too Athena. Be gentle with me won't you" I just chuckled at him as he gave me his version of puppy dog eyes until he laughed with me.
As I went to kiss him again, I felt pins and needles in my head, someone was trying to mind-link me but was unable to as I had put my block up. Moment killer much I thought to myself. Removing the block in my mind I knew it was my mum.
"Athena baby we need to talk with you, can you and Hector please come down"
"We are... busy, can't it wait?" I was growing annoyed. It had taken a lot for me to bare myself to Hector asking him to mark me.
"Well, I'm afraid whatever your doing needs to wait. There is someone here to see you"
"Fine be down in ten" I growled as I ended the mind-link.
Shooting Hector an apologetic look, I climbed off his lap and put my bra and top back on. I told Hector we had visitors and that we were both requested for some reason or other. I just hoped they weren't about to lecture us about Vanessa, or the fact Hector wasn't eighteen yet. Taking a deep breath and one last quick kiss with Hector we headed downstairs to my dad's office hand in hand. When we stopped outside his door, I caught the scent of someone I had hoped not to see anytime soon. Hector immediately opened the door also catching onto the scent of another mate. There sitting at the desk an older woman at his side was Axel.
"Ah you must be Athena, nice to meet you" The older lady said with a smile on her face, though her eyes held nothing, nothing but pure darkness.
It was clear she was his mother; they had the same hair and eyes however she was petite so Axel must have gotten his height and facial features from his father. The woman clicked her tongue as she noticed my hand in Hectors while he stood protectively in front of me.
"Oh, please wolf I won't hurt her, she's fated to my son. Though if she doesn't willingly take back her rejection of him, I shall be forced to intervene" My dad growled at the threatening tone in which she spoke.
"You will not force my daughter to do anything. If that son of yours didn't want to be rejected, he should have thought twice about where he stuck his dick. He's fucking lucky he still has it" My mum stood from her chair anger rolling off her in waves. My dad grabbed her pulling her onto his lap letting their bond calm her down before she started a war with their pack by hurting Axel's mum.
"You would do better to watch your tone. You may be a Luna, a descendant of the mood goddess at that, but you no longer hold any power. I however am a high priestess and will gladly teach you some manners"
"Mum enough" Axel shouted at her; my eyes widened in shock as I watched her slap him with full force leaving an imprint of her hand on his cheek at his outburst.
It shouldn't have bothered me, but it did, I couldn't stop the deafening growl that came out at the sight of what I had just witnessed. Everyone looked to me unsure of where it came from. I could tell Hector was becoming angry and jealous, not only was Axel our mate but that I had defended him even after rejecting him.
"Why have you come here?" My dad asked calmly trying to defuse the situation before an all-out brawl happened.
"Because I have a proposition for you Athena"
